Emma Burke

As her matron of honor, Emma has shown time and time again that together they can overcome anything even planning a wedding or two, or helping Connor set up the most perfect proposal. Their bond grows stronger with every adventure and obstacle they face side by side. Emma is not only Maddie’s sister and matron of honor, but also her friend, cheerleader, and the only person who truly understands the stress of picking the perfect nail color. They might call each other “hippo,” but don’t be fooled Emma’s beauty shines in every room, making everyone around her feel celebrated. Maddie feels grateful to have a sister who understands every twist and turn they’ve faced together, and even luckier to have her standing by her side. Emmie, remember to smile so we don’t end up with ceremony pictures like I did at your wedding because you know Dad will be looking at us, smiling right back.

Sarah

Maddie and her Maid of Honor, Sarah, share a bond that began in college when Sarah freshman year was wearing a “Free Hugs” shirt and Maddie just happened to need one. From that moment on, their friendship only grew stronger as they traveled the world together and created countless memories (including a few they don’t quite remember) during their time living in London and now in Hoboken. Sarah is more than a friend she’s family. There’s no one else she’d rather slip into soft clothes with and savor both life’s simple joys and its most extraordinary adventures.

Allison

Maddie and Allison met in 5th grade if that doesn’t say it all, then nothing will. Through every phase of life the good, the bad, every crush, every braces color change and every questionable decision they’ve made it through together, always with laughter and loyalty. Sorry for running faster than you in high school… and for not getting in trouble with the police, and I am sorry for repeating it now. From middle school to Manhattan, their friendship has stood the test of time, growing stronger with every memory and every moment they’ve shared.

Heather 

Heather might be Connor’s older sister, but she has also become a true and kind friend to Maddie. With her warm heart, the best book recommendations, and even better cookie recipes, Heather brings a special light into every room she’s in. She has a way of making everyone feel welcome, supported, and loved, and Maddie is so grateful to have gained not just a sister-in-law, but a great friend. As a bridesmaid, Heather’s calm presence, thoughtfulness, and unwavering support make this celebration even more meaningful, and Maddie couldn’t imagine this day without her by her side.

Megan

Megan and Maddie might have started their bond over Bravo marathons and martinis, but over time they have grown into close friends. Whether it’s spending an entire Martha’s Vineyard trip mastering the art of indulging and gracefully climbing into a bunk bed, or sharing laughs over the little things, their connection keeps getting stronger. Megan’s infectious energy, sense of humor, and genuine kindness make her not just an amazing sister to Connor but also a wonderful friend to Maddie. As a bridesmaid, she brings joy, laughter, and love to every moment, and Maddie feels so lucky to have her as part of this special day and her family.

Stephen

Maddie and Stephen share a bond like no other. From teaching in New York City to dating in New York City… it’s hard to say which was more challenging, but they navigated both together. Stephen was Maddie’s mentor during her first year of teaching, and truthfully, that mentorship never stopped. Through countless interesting dates, job drama and life’s trials, Stephen has been a one-of-a-kind friend who always had her best interest at heart especially when it came to dating and of course a Girlmore girls and Chinese food session. After debriefing during a bathroom break on Maddie and Connor’s first date, Stephen confidently predicted it would be her “last first date.” Witchy, wise, and wonderful, their friendship is truly something special.

Savannah 

Savannah has officially agreed to be our flower girl, and we’re so excited! She already brings so much fun and joy, and Connor just lights up around her, she has such a big piece of his heart. I can’t wait to see her walking down the aisle and to share those moments together! This is just one of many memories we’ll get to make with her, and I’m looking forward to all the laughter and tiktok dances ahead. Who knows, maybe we’ll celebrate afterward with a movie night and some Chipotle , life's simple pleasures.

Reis

Reis is the daughter of Tom, one of the best men, and Mel , two of our dearest friends who are truly family. She proudly calls Connor her godfather, or as we all like to say, the Con Father. From the moment we asked her to be our flower girl, she started practicing right away! We're pretty sure she'll be the best dressed and will steal the show as she walks down the aisle.

Waveny has always been a special place for the Burkes, and we’re so excited to continue that tradition into the next generation. Maddie’s parents were married here, marking the beginning of many family memories and traditions the Fourth of July fireworks, countless softball games (including Maddie’s first grand slam), Christmas festivals, family walks, and afternoons at “Annie’s Pond.” Annie’s Pond holds a particularly special place in Maddie’s heart. It’s where she and her dad would pause during walks with the dogs to sit, watch the leaves change, and talk about life( including future plans with Connor). Now it is where Connor and Maddie go when they are home to say hi to her Dad and take a second together. In his memory, the Burkes placed a bench there a quiet, peaceful spot that can be seen from the house and will be visible during our ceremony! For us, Waveny isn’t just a beautiful venue, it’s a place filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. We can’t wait to share its magic with all of our family and friends as we begin our own chapter together.
