Aya and Maddy met through the volleyball program at BJU and have done pretty much anything you can imagine together since then. She is Maddy’s workout partner, fellow visionary, travel buddy (they have vacationed in 4 states together), and has truly pushed Maddy to be a better person and follower of Christ. They share in many passions and ideals and are simultaneously the most easygoing and explosive duo when they are together. Aya has become like a sister to Maddy and there is no one she would rather have as her right-hand woman.

Erin Albert is a constant and loyal friend who often brings reason and grounding to the wild imaginations and ideas of Aya and Maddy when the three are together (as was very common throughout college). Though Erin is steady and level-headed, she certainly brings life and fun to any adventure. Erin truly has a gift for befriending people, ever the marketer and economist, but deeper than this has a true, joyful love for people. Maddy couldn’t imagine her big day without Erin’s support and merriment.

Emma and Maddy met at the Anchorage Camp, where Emma was a camp nurse, and quickly bonded over Maddy’s near death experience. Though they are polar opposites in nearly every way, their friendship has flourished in learning from each other’s perspectives. Whether through many prayers, deep conversations, or copious amounts of dark chocolate, Emma has been a huge support and encouragement to Maddy and helped her survive numerous life events and an engineering degree.

Emilee and Maddy met in middleschool when Emilee’s family moved from Alaska to PA. Throughout their younger years they were best of friends and inseparable in their many adventures. Two years ago their dreams of exploring Alaska together came true when Maddy got to fly up to be a part of Emilee’s wedding. Though they have been many miles apart for much of their friendship, they have maintained a deep bond and certainly make the most of the times they are together.

Emma and Maddy met freshman year of college and became roommates the following year. Emma is thoughtful, good humored, and always down for a spontaneous adventure (as long as Maddy doesn’t propose an unreasonably early morning). When they were roommates, Emma and Maddy’s favorite way to spend a Saturday morning was with waffles, smoothies, and swing era jazz like Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra.

Gabrielle is Maddy’s “longest lasting roommate” and a dear friend from college. The room was often filled with friends, laughter, and gargantuan books between nursing and engineering. One of their favorite activities together is to go “star gazing” (lay on the dirty floor and stare at the popcorn ceiling) and talk about life. Fun fact: Maddy and Gabrielle both grew up in PA and stood immediately next to each other in a high school All-State Choir before they were ever friends.
