General Questions

What date should I RSVP by?

Monday June 30th, 2025

What will the food options be?

The beef option is Top Sirloin. 8 oz. steak pan roasted, served with a cabernet demi-glace, mushrooms, and tomatoes. Gruyere Potato Cake & French Green Beans Sautéed with Garlic. The pork option is a 7 oz. pork loin stuffed with figs and goat cheese, drizzled with a sage and rosemary brown butter. Gruyere Potato Cake & French Green Beans Sautéed with Garlic. The vegetarian meal will be Sweet Potato Gnocchi (v) Broccoli rabe, roasted pine nuts, ricotta, and fried sage, tossed in a brown butter sauce. The kids option with be chicken tender with fries.

What was your favorite food option?

Both Jared’s and Mariah’s favorite option was the sweet potato gnocchi. The brown butter sauce was the key seller.

Will you cater to dietary needs?

Yes, there will be separate plates for dinner service for those who have dietary needs/restrictions or religious dietary requirements that need to be accommodated.

When is Move In Weekend for the University of Wisconsin?

Wisconsin's Move-In Week is August 25th-27th. There may be some students who move in during the weekend of the 23rd-24th, so please plan accordingly.

What is the Dress Code for the Wedding?

Semi-formal. We will be in a concert hall/theater, so dress as if you were going to the symphony.

Are children allowed at the wedding and reception?

Yes to both

Is it ok to post photos of the wedding to social media?

Yes

Are phones allowed during the ceremony?

Maybe…

Will dogs be part of the wedding?

Unfortunately they will only be around for outside photos.

Will you be serving alcohol before the ceremony?

Nope, but there are a lot of bars on state street and around the state capitol to go checkout

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Indoors with air conditioning

Is the ceremony venue the same as the reception venue?

Yes, they will both be at the Overture Center on the second floor. The ceremony will be in the in the Promenade Terrace and the reception will be in the Promenade Hall.

Is the venue accessible?

Yes, there are elevators in the building

Can we explore the venue?

Please do. There is art all around the building.

Will there be event security?

Yes, please let them know who’s wedding your attending.

Can outside food be brought into the venue?

Nope. Please eat your non-overture center food and drink your beverages outside of the building

Will transportation from the hotel be provided?

No

What is the easiest way to get to and from the wedding venue?

Travel Questions

Are there other hotels near by?

Yes, there are many hotels on or near the Capitol Square. There are also other hotels in Madison that are not on the square and offer cheaper rates.
