Jill and Matthew met while both attending Texas Tech University. Jill joined Mallory Broussard (Bridesmaid) to a fraternity pregame party that Mallory’s boyfriend, now fiance, Brayden Gammel (Groomsman) was at. Brayden and Matthew were there together and Matthew noticed Jill the second she walked in. She did not stay for long, but shortly after she left Matthew told Mallory that he needed to meet Jill again. Mallory helped Matthew plan a wine night at her apartment that Jill would come to and watch ‘The Bachelor’. Jill would not give Matthew the time of day, but she eventually could not resist Matthew’s charisma, charm and affection when they finally started dating on April 8, 2021 (Only a few weeks after Matthew confessed to Brenda Kellermeier that he loved her daughter, before they started dating).
