Our Wedding

Meet us in the Mountains! We wanted to incorporate our love of Montana into our special day, and have chosen Canyon Creek Cabin as our venue. Canyon Creek Cabin is nestled in the Garnet Mountain Range of the Northern Rocky Mountains, at an elevation of 5050 ft. The main cabin was built in 1930, and the bunkhouse, built in 1964, was formerly the "Queen of the Rosary Catholic Church." We are excited to unplug and spend the day in the serene mountains of Montana!The road to the cabins is a well-maintained Forest Service road, and you should have no issues getting to it; however, high clearance 4WD vehicles are recommended. Be advised, the drive from Helena to the cabin is about a 45-minute drive, so please plan accordingly. There is no service once you leave Canyon Creek, however there will be wifi at the Cabin. DirectionsLeaving Helena: Driving North on I-15, take exit 200. Turn left through the roundabout onto Lincoln Road West.Stay on Lincoln Road West for 14 miles until you come into Canyon Creek.Once in Canyon Creek, take a slight left onto Little Prickly Pear Road. You will stay on Little Prickly Pear Road for about 9 miles.After about 9 miles, there will be a fork in the road and a sign for South Fork Road. Turn left onto South Fork Road. Stay on South Fork Road for about 2 miles, and the cabin will be on your left. There will be signs along the way!

Wedding Day/Directions 

CampersThe cabin is surrounded by National Forest, so please feel free to bring your camper or tent and stay the night. Lets us know if you plan to camp at the cabin so we can coordinate parking. The road to the cabins is a well-maintained Forest Service road, and you should have no issues getting to it; however, high clearance 4WD vehicles are recommended.

Our story started in January of 2024. Maverick was in town for a bachelor party and staying with some mutual friends. Before he went home, they all decided to go out for drinks and invited me along, thinking that Maverick and I would hit it off. We started the night at Headwaters Tap House, and the night was going so well, we decided to go downtown to the Gold Bar. What we both thought would be a quick drink turned into a night of drinks, dinner, and closing down the bars. After that night we both knew this was something special. From then on, we spent the next several months traveling back and forth, seeing each other. I drove to Miles City to see him, and he came to Helena to see me. For the last 2 years, we have gone on several adventures, including trips to Coeur d'Alene and Banff, Canada, and many days at the lake, fishing, skiing, hiking, and hunting. EngagementOn October 5th, we got up at 5 am to go elk hunting. We drove out into the mountains, with the snow starting to fall. We got out to a spot where we had seen elk the year before, and did a few bugles. As we were getting back into the truck, we heard a cow call out into the distance. All excited, I grabbed my bow, and we set off, accidentally leaving our packs and gear in the truck. For a few hours, we hiked ridge after ridge, made several calls, but never could get to them. We finally decided to call it quits and head back to the truck. As I'm putting my bow in its case, I turn around and see Maverick down on one knee!

Honeymoon/House Fund! Your attendance at our special day is gift enough, however if you'd like to contribute to our honeymoon fund, or future home, a monetary gift would be cherished as we build our life together. We are only requesting cash, as we currently rent and do not have the additional space for any homeware. Cash gifts can be brought the day of the wedding, sent via Venmo, or can be mailed to the Bride and Groom.

Q: Can I bring a plus-one? A: We want to be surrounded by just close friends and family on our special day, however if you are wanting to bring a plus-one please reach out. Q: What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?A: We are happy to accommodate! Please reach out if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions. Q: Are Children allowed. A: Of course! We love your kids. We have not accounted for any kids under the age of 16 in the food planning, so please let us know ahead of time if you plan to bring your kids. Q: What should I wear?A: Dress up, but keep it casusal. Ties or jackets are NOT required. Just remember that it will be Montana... in September... in the mountains. Below is our color palette.
