Utah is known for its diverse natural landscapes, ranging from desert areas with striking red rocks to lush alpine forests in the mountains. This variation makes it a stunning location for a range of outdoor activities throughout the year.

National Parks: Utah is famous for its "Mighty Five" national parks—Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches, Canyonlands, and Capitol Reef. The parks offer stunning red rock landscapes, canyons, arches, and hoodoos that attract millions of visitors annually. If you have time, we highly recommend visiting at least one of Utah's national parks, which are all between a 3.5 - 5 hour drive from Salt Lake City. Our favorites are Bryce Canyon, Arches, and Zion!

Unique Geological Sites: Utah also has the The Great Salt Lake, Monument Valley, and the Bonneville Salt Flats, all of which are worth exploring!

Outdoor Recreation: Utah is ideal for all kinds of outdoor recreation, from skiing, hiking, and mountain biking to stargazing in its dark sky reserves. Utah's Division of Outdoor Recreation is a great resource for further exploration.
