Bonded by Love. Blended by Family. Bound by God. They say when a man find’s a wife, he find’s a good thing! I like to think it was the other way around for me. At a time where we both had a need for one another not knowing it would bring us more closer together than we thought. One, in need of childcare services to provide for his children, while, the other had a need of providing childcare services to provide for her children. Both had been struck with life changing tragedies in their life at that current time, that would eventually lead them to a world of happiness amongst each other. I would like to say it was the will of God that brought us together.
Upon the doorstep of my home stumbled a man, a father in need, in search of care for his 5 children. Inside the home was a woman, a mother who was also in need, in search of a way to provide for her 2 daughters. Both were getting through a dark time in their life, and little did they know their interaction was about to spark the light and life right back into them.
The chemistry between them was undeniable. Their interactions with one another was pure and genuine, without any motives, feelings, or intentions. Their friendship and connection with one another blossomed as time grew, and they found themselves growing into something that was now unnoticeably past more than just a friendship.
Their service to another was so natural and ever so flowing, they blended and mixed well, like the a fresh breeze on a how summer’s day. Not expected but much needed! There was hope for the unexpected however, the unexpected was not anticipated. Disobedience nearly got in the way of this love story of glory.
See after facing a tragedy of nearly losing her life, which sprouted other losses and setbacks in the women’s life, God put a plan in motion for the women to start her own business in childcare. Though it seemed like things were falling apart in her life and due to her injuries the women had to find herself again. She didn’t understand why God would call her to such a thing knowing the financial toll her life was in at the moment. Of course she was great with kids and childcare is always a need, but the woman couldn’t see the vision that God had laid out for her. But she knew it wasn’t about making sense to God, as long as it made faith!
So through her obedience she step out on faith and months before meeting the love of her life she started her business! Things were going great for her in the beginning, until just around the time that she was about to meet her spouse, she experienced a drought in her business. She started to questions God’s plan as if he had made some mistake, but the only mistake would’ve been if she had stopped or not did what God told her to do.
One day she cried out to God, asking him questions of why would he allow her to suffer this way? Why would he have her start this business if he wasn’t going to provide the flow of clients? She knew she couldn’t go back to work because she was still in her healing process. She needed money quick and steady, and at that moment it was not happening the way she had thought. She could no longer see God’s vision and she had began to lose hope. And just as she was about to quit and give up, the voice of the Lord spoke to her asking “Do you trust me?”
Though she had doubt in the situation, she did not have doubt in her Holy Father, who she knows has made a way for her and her daughters time after time. So she proceeded to trust the Lord, and 3 days later there was a knock on her door, that was getting ready to open a new door for her in her life.
After meeting the man, she wrestle in her spirit and mind, contemplating God’s reassurance. She didn’t understand how a man who was in need himself, whom also had 5 children to care for, was apart of God’s plan for her breakthrough. But before getting the chance to deny the man, the voice of the Lord spoke to her stating “I want you to help him!”
After hearing his circumstances, she went back and forth with God, questioning what kind of help could she bring a man going through his type of situation. Not to mention, they had a clash on the type of payments she needed to receive. Once again, God’s plan just didn’t make sense to her, however, she couldn’t shake the urge in her spirit and instructions from the Lord to help the man and so she was obedient to the Lord and begin to help the man.
Now the man was very modest and was a man of integrity and grace. However, his pride begin to show when he rejected the woman’s notion to help him, because his pride could not accept service without a reward for her service in return. So he denied the woman’s help, still yet she remained persistent because of what God instructed her to do.
Eventually the man surrendered his will and allowed for the woman to help him and he found that he had no regrets in doing so. His children were in good hands, he had a peace of mind, and God was beginning to develop him for his new season he was walking into.
One day, hanging out with all the children and each other, God revealed to the woman that the man was going to be her husband. She was preparing a meal for everyone and as she was making plates, the man started assisting and regulating the children, while dinner was being prepared.
At this point that had become familiar with one another, by way of working together with one another, all in the service of providing and caring for each of the children and helping each other out. They unintentionally had built a family dynamic and structure that would soon become set in stone in the near future.
But even with knowing what she heard the women didn’t believe it all just yet, because the man had made no notion that he was interested in her. They connected and communicated on account of the needs of the children and that was just really about it. But she heard clear as day what the Lord had said and sat back and allowed time to have its way.
Soon after, arose a situation where the woman was now in need of the man. And just like the man, she almost let pride get in the way but she pushed past it and allowed for the man to step in for her. She didn’t realize it then, but God was introducing a provider and a protector in her life and because it wasn’t something she was use to, she didn’t know how to receive it when she was experiencing it.
After almost of month of friendship, connecting, and building with one another both the man and woman found themselves standing on a firm foundation of love that God had helped construct through their connection and obedience. The enemy tried his best to corrupt what God had created, but they fought hard to overcome it.
Through prayer, fasting, commitment, communication, submission, surrendering, obedience, and faith they were able to withstand the test, trials, and tribulations that were thrown their way that helped lead them here to this day! They seen some dark times but their light continues to still shine, and they stand in grace of knowing what they overcame and walk in hope of what they have to look forward to.
So with that being said 1 year and 1 month later, we did, we done, and we delivered, and finally now we can officially say “I do” to one another.
So Father God we give you praise, we give you honor, we give you worship, and we give you glory….we thank you that through our story of love sprouted by you, others to can reap in your glory! In Jesus name we pray, Amen! ❤️
