I always thought that I would meet my husband in Auburn. I prayed to marry a true, Auburn man and we would live happily ever after, cheering on our Auburn Tigers. I guess you could say God had a sense of humor; exactly half of that prayer was answered. I did meet the love of my life in Auburn (shout out to Sky Bar!) -- and he turned out to be the BIGGEST UGA fan on the planet. We antagonized each other that entire first night together. And the night after. I liked the banter back and forth. If I'm being honest, I think that's what sparked the connection. That and some encouragement from great friends :) Before we knew it, we were meeting each other's families at Christmas!
3 years flew by FAST. We've traveled the world, grew close to each other's families, struggled in trying moments, celebrated each other and, more importantly, those around us. All in all, we've built an incredible foundation of love, faith and trust. So when Sepp got down on one knee at our favorite spot in Birmingham to ask me to marry him, I can say there was zero hesitation in my "yes". Absolutely yes.
Sepp is just the absolute best human being. I don't know a better way to put it. There's not a day that goes by that I question his love for me, his love for the Lord, his integrity in all things or his patience with life's struggles. I feel so lucky that he picked me. That God intertwined our lives and that we get to spend forever traveling the world, degrading each other's alma mater and growing in this sweet, simple love.
