His... I was minding my own business, growing, as I learned to enjoy my own singleness. All the while I was discovering a recently renewed budding desire for a companion. I prayed that, at the right time,&nbsp;God would bring my rib. I prayed she would love Him more than anything, and we would pursue God all our lives desiring to know Him and His ways.&nbsp; On March 1st, I was working to set out preparations for our student service at church when I received a text message from an unknown number. They introduced themself as Hannah Loch. Hannah is Rachel’s sister and is married to an amazing man, Daniel, that I worked in youth with up at a church in College Station! Hannah covertly got my number from one of my team leaders whom I had recently lived with overseas. Hannah messaged me, beginning by hyping her sister up as an amazing woman and ending by asking if I would be interested in taking her on a blind date. “Nah, I’m good on the dating scene for right now.” I immediately thought, as I had been single for over four years, and I continued my preparation for the evening.&nbsp;I did however confide in my 8th grade small group of students about the message I received and they rambunctiously haggled me to respond at once. I told them I'd respond later then steered our conversations elsewhere. After the service ended, I, for some reason, could not shake the message I had received and felt like I should pray and ask God for His input. As I asked "What do You think I should do?" and waited I was covered by this inexplicable and irreplaceable peace, this encounter with the presence of God, and a still soft voice saying “You should say yes”. Filled with hope after that moment, I wasted no time reaching out to Rachel, made my intentions clear and proceeded forward in faith that God was in this. In nervousness, excitement, and yet in that same peace, I was graciously able to intentionally plan out a date. When I met Rachel that same peace rested on us. This peace allowed us the confidence and ease to joke around in the shallow waters of our thoughts and emotions, and still reveal the depths of our hearts in many ways that I feel many people are initially afraid of. It lingered for days and even weeks. We were so at peace with one another that we went on four dates in the first week of meeting, much to the shock of our friends and families! Next thing I knew I was talking to Rachel's father about taking her hand and taking time to talk with my family, coming up with a plan. Discussion of getting down on one knee, signaling an engagement that's began, for with her I will be a peace-filled, loving, and joyful man. And I was just minding my own business... Hers... It all started in a coffee shop... I was meeting up with a friend when I hear my name called from across the room. It was an old acquaintance of mine walking up to say hi! As we started talking they mentioned Jardyn, "you know Jardyn right?" It was in that moment I realized I knew exactly who Jardyn was, that hot guy I saw across the room at church when I was a lil 18 year old freshman in college. After this coffee shop encounter I kept thinking about him. I wondered if I was just being a psycho girl, so I decided to pray about it. Every time I prayed I received a peace like no other and an assurance that something in fact, would happen. All it took was one small comment to my sister (who knew Jardyn through mutual friends) and all of a sudden I was unknowingly being set up on a date. Our first date lasted 10 hours... every list, prayer, and dream I had for a husband, was Jardyn. As we talked, he checked off everything I have ever wanted. It was after this that I knew God had something special for us and his favor was on our story. Not to get TOO sappy, but I truly believe the safest place in the world is in Jardyn's arms. He supports me, covers me in prayer daily, and points me to The Lord consistently. After years of holding onto the promises of God for a man that exemplifies Christ's character, God fulfilled his promise to me. He will do it and it will always be better than you've ever thought, dreamed, or imagined. Thank you God for this story and our dear friends &amp; family reading along. We love you and desire to glorify You with every detail of this wedding, make Your glory known. Let heaven truly touch earth in this union You call marriage. Amen.
