Bars

It is a Catholic wedding after all, so the drinking starts bright and early during mass with the blood of Christ. There will be the classic break between the ceremony and reception, which is a great time to keep the party going if you so wish. These are some of Robin and Brad's favorite bars in Buffalo:

Mr. Goodbar - it's literally just a bar but it is a good bar

Community Beer Works - Austin once blacked out on the lawn here. Good locally brewed beer and a nice selection of bar snacks.

OSB Ciderworks - One of Robin's favorite spots with a wide variety of locally brewed ciders. You can tell it's a cider bar because when you get a mixed drink here it is lethally strong.

Pour Tap Room - Nearby self serve bar. Choose your own destiny.

Founding Fathers - A known favorite of Tom Rush, this is a hidden gem. Solid drinks in an odd but comfortable atmosphere.

Coffee Shops

Looking for a good cup of Joe? These are some of Robin and Brad's favorite coffee shops near Babeville:

Spot Coffee - A cornerstone of the Buffalo coffee scene, Spot Coffee is inescapable. Robin likes their chai lattes and Brad likes their cinco shakes. The Mike breakfast sandwich is in a league of its own.

Tipico - in case you need a pretentious coffee

Overwinter - in case you need another pretentious coffee

Wings

It's Buffalo. Of course there's going to be good wings. Here are Robin and Brad's picks:

Mr Goodbar - A really solid, underrated wing spot. Robin likes the country sweet wings.

Duff's - Brad's favorite wings. It is a classic for a reason. The Duff's on Sheridan is the best one.

Beltline Brewery - the all dressed wings go absolutely crazy

Gabriel's Gate - Robin's favorite wings and a spot she loved to go to with her sister-in-law, Tara. Robin also highly recommends their french onion soup.

Things To Do

These are some activities Robin and Brad recommend if you're looking for other things to do while in Buffalo:

Albright-Knox - Newly renovated, the Albright-Knox is an exceptional museum with a world class collection. The collection is heavy on modern art, but they have a very comprehensive collection across the centuries.

Burchfield Penny - underrated museum with an emphasis on sculptures and local artists

Buffalo History Museum - a perfectly sized history museum with a great view of Delaware Park

Darwin Martin House - one of Frank Lloyd Wright's finest homes, the Darwin Martin House is one of a kind.

Pierce Arrow Museum - a collection of antique automobiles, bikes, and vehicles that highlights the history of transportation in Western New York

Teddy Roosevelt Inauguration Site - One time a man in Maine told Robin and Brad that the Teddy Roosevelt Inauguration Site was THE premier tourist attraction of the area. Robin and Brad stupidly thought the answer was Niagara Falls, a literal wonder of the world, when the man asked them what they thought it was.

Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino - in case you want to bet your house on the ponies

Misuta Chow's - a barcade with Japanese food downstairs, an arcade upstairs, and an iconic pink staircase

Outdoor Activities

Weather permitting, Buffalo has some nice outdoor spots to take in the beauty of nature and the decaying rust belt of America:

Forest Lawn - a beautiful cemetery if you want to spend some time vibing with the landscape and some corpses

Canalside/Naval Park - walk along the Buffalo water front and check out the two naval ships and the submarine that call Buffalo home

Delaware Park - the most iconic park in Buffalo, it is one of Olmsted's finest works with a very beautiful Japanese Garden located near Lake Hoyt

Erie Basin Marina Observation Deck - another area to walk along the Buffalo waterfront and vibe with the scenery

Richardson Hotel South Lawn - the Olmsted designed lawn of the former Buffalo State Hospital, this is Robin's favorite spot. Brad proposed to Robin on the north lawn of the Richardson Hotel!
