﻿This is a classic love story that starts with Boy meets Girl. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...College.On a cold, dark December night with $12 to his name, Eric reluctantly agreed to celebrate some random girl's 21st birthday. As the promise of “first rounds on me” rang in his ears, he entered the kitchen only to witness said girl struggling.She couldn't open the wine. Being the problem-solver that he is, Eric knew what he had to do and stepped in to save this girl from never-ending shame, embarrassment, and, more importantly, sobriety on her big day.In typical, "take things slow" fashion, Eric invited Rowen on the big Spring Break adventure to OBX a few weeks after meeting. It was a week filled with laughter, booze, shenanigans, oh, and more booze. Although it would take a few more months for them to “define” the relationship, the Outer Banks was the start of it all.Fast forward a few years, and the two find themselves back in OBX. Without the friends, but rest be assured, no less laughs, shenanigans, and booze. By the end of the week Rowen said, "Yes!!" and even more exciting, she had a GIGANTIC ring on her finger.As the story is only truly just beginning, the perfect end to our dating careers could only occur in OBX as we begin the most fun and exciting chapters of our story.We’ve come full circle in getting married in the Outer Banks: friends, laughs, and definitely plenty of shenanigans and booze.

As one of the most important people in both our lives, the first decision we unanimously agreed on was that Leah would be the one to help us officially say, “I do”.

Offering an outdoor pool and an indoor pool, this beachfront hotel is located in Corolla, North Carolina. Free WiFi access and a daily continental breakfast are provided. Each room at Hampton Inn and Suites Outer Banks Corolla will provide guests with a patio or balcony. A microwave, refrigerator, and cable TV are also included. Extras include a desk and hairdryer. Select rooms offer an ocean view. A hot tub is on site at Hampton Inn and Suites Corolla. Other facilities offered at the property include meeting facilities and laundry facilities. An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including fishing. The property offers free parking. The Hampton Inn is 5 minutes from the wedding venues. A room block will be provided soon. To take advantage of the room block, you must call the local number above. The block will expire on August 24th.

Hampton Inn & Suites Outer Banks/ Corolla

Corolla’s only private, gated golf community. The Currituck Club offers gracious resort living, magnificent ocean and sound views, and a challenging 18-hole championship golf course designed by Rees Jones.For anyone who would like to stay close to the venue, but would like to reserve their own space/have more flexibility with the dates and number of guests.Typically requires a 7 night minimum stay. There are many towns in OBX that Village Realty operates within so be sure to search Corolla and the Currituck Club Community where the wedding venues are located.

The Outer Banks is filled with beautiful vacation homes! And you may find that it is more affordable to rent a home for the week or partial week than it is to stay for two nights in a hotel. Be sure to search in Corolla to be close to the wedding venues which are located in the Currituck Club community. Who doesn't love a trip to the beach?! While the weather will (hopefully) still be warm and sunny, the water might be too cold to swim. One of our favorite things to do is walk the beach early morning before the sun gets too hot, or in the evening as things cool down. Fun fact- we got engaged on the beach! Currituck County Southern Beach Access

Offers kayak tours through the salt marsh or sound in Corolla, with sunset tours also available. Booking can be completed through their website or by calling the office. Located in Timbuck II shopping center about 10 minutes from the venue.

About a 10 minute drive from The Black Stallion, the shopping center offers 60 shops, restaurants, and recreation spots right on the Currituck Sound. TimBuck II Shopping Village

Uncle Ike’s is a casual dining, sports bar offering variety of tasty starters, salads, sandwiches and delicious creative entrees. They also offer steamed bar, vegetarian, kid-friendly and gluten-free options. For our party animals, they keep the sports bar open nightly until 2 a.m., year round. They have great night life entertainment: Live bands, Karaoke on Tuesday and Thursdays, DJs and other nightly events making them one of the top late night party bars in town, serving delicious creative cocktails and 18 beers on tap.

Uncle Ike's Sandbar & Grill

Located within the TimBuck II shopping center offers classic Italian food including specialty stone oven pizzas, home-made lasagna, breads, and desserts. Available for dine in or take out, they do not take reservations: first come, first served. Can only accommodate up to 10 diners.

La Dolce Vita

The Waterfront Shops & Southern Shores

Our favorite sit down restaurant on the Island. A perfect spot for couples (or families) to spend an evening out and have time to yourselves. The restaurant itself sits right on the Currituck bay and is a popular dinner spot to watch the sunset. Reservations are REQUIRED and spots go quick. If you are able to get a table here, an absolute must have is the side order of grits.

Paper Canoe 

No reservations required at this beautiful bar located right on the Duck Boardwalk, with options to sit outside and enjoy the waterfront views. The menu offers modern coastal cuisine and delicious, beach-inspired craft cocktails. Typically has ample bar seating with little to no wait time. For tables, there may be a little bit of a wait depending on time of day. Parking lot can be tight, so we usually park across the street at the Scarborough Lane Shoppes.

NC Coast Grill & Bar

Who doesn't love a day at the spa? Located within the Duck shopping center offers a wide array of treatments from facials, massages, manicures &amp; pedicures. Please call ahead or book online through the website to make an appointment. The spa is located on the upper level of the restaurant, which is a beautiful spot to stop grab a drink and sit outside after your treatment.

AQUA spa 

A little bit of a drive from where we’re staying in Corolla, but offers some of the best oysters around. Offers very generous portions with a balance of seafood and non-seafood options. We make a point to stop in here every trip. Atmosphere is casual and relaxed. A highlight is they offer a house made orange crush mix drink made with vodka, straight from the tap!

Blue Water Grill & Raw Bar 

About an hour from where were staying located on Roanoke Island. If venturing out to Blue water Grill/Lone Cedars/Elizabethan Gardens, this is a quaint spot to make a day out of the trip to do some shopping, or spend time near the water.
