Is there a hotel room block?
Yes, please click on the "Travel" portion of the website and scroll down to click on the link. We only blocked off a certain amount of rooms, so if you could book as soon as possible, that would be appreciated. Please reach out to one of us with any issues. The link will expire November 27, 2024.
When should I RSVP?
We ask that you respond by Saturday, November 30, 2024.
Is there a dress code?
The dress code for our wedding is formal. Somewhere between black tie optional (Sal is not wearing a tux) and cocktail attire. Some women will be wearing long dresses/gowns but short cocktail dresses and/or pants suits will work as well. Men can wear a suit and tie (or no tie). Here is a Pinterest board that might give you a better idea of what we were thinking: https://pin.it/IlCV0bTyI
Where are you registered?
We are registered at Crate & Barrel, Macy's, and have a Honeyfund account. They are all linked in the "registry" section of this website.
What time should I arrive?
The ceremony at the church starts at 2:00 PM so please try to arrive no later than 1:45 PM. The reception at the Franklin Institute starts with cocktail hour at 6:00 PM. There will be time in between the Mass and the reception for you to check in to the hotel before heading over to the Franklin Institute for cocktail hour (there will be a transportation option from the hotel, or you can walk depending upon the weather). The Logan Hotel has some bar/restaurant options: Urban Farmer, The Commons Bar, and Assembly Rooftop. There are also plenty of local establishments near the hotel that can help you kill time: Con Murphys, Tir Na Nog, Victory Brewing Company, City Tap, and The Mulberry.
Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?
Yes, there is parking at both the church and the Franklin Institute.
At the church you can park on Cottage Street, Aldine Street, or Bleigh Street. There is a handicapped accessible entrance on Bleigh Street toward the front of the church. There is also a parking lot in between the church and the rectory (have to go up a hill into the school yard and then walk down steps to get to church).
At the Franklin Institute there is parking garage along the backside of the museum which is located at 271 N 21st St, Philadelphia, PA 19103. The entrance to the garage is south of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway off of 21st Street between Winter and Race Streets (do not use the main address to the Franklin Institute on 20th street in your GPS b/c it will take you to the front of the building). It is small/tucked away and comes up fast on the left, so be ready.
Are kids welcome?
While we love all of the children who we are blessed to have in our lives, we respectfully ask that they not be brought to the reception (with the exception of immediate family) as we have a strict headcount that we need to adhere to.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the ceremony?
Please refrain from taking pictures during the ceremony. We would love for you to be present in the moment with us and allow our photographer and videographer to work their magic. Also, it would be greatly appreciated if you could please turn off or silence all cell phones during the mass.
After the ceremony, please take as many pictures/videos as you'd like and feel free to share them with us at this link: https://photos.app.goo.gl/x43orSgrz67GGBHh8.
Is there a hashtag?
Yes, #SalWonTheGold. Please feel to take pictures everywhere but the ceremony (we're going unplugged). We'd also love for you to share them with us by scanning the QR code that will be on the back of your table number sign at the wedding.
