While it may have been through a dating app, their commonalities are what brought them together. A simple flick of the thumb to the right, that was all it took. However, leading up to meeting could be looked at as a miracle. It was only after meeting in North Carolina during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 after talking for some time, that they both realized they lived in Holbrook NY, a mere few miles away from each other, however never met in person until life brought them together nearly 600 miles away. Some call it fate, others call it destiny, but love will say "Sometimes the one thing you are looking for is the one thing you can't see."

Samantha and Kevin have a unique love story that happened in a unorthodox way. It's not your typical friends have someone to set you up with type of story. Samantha swiped right on an app called Ok Cupid, then Kevin swiped right which made us a match.

I have said numerous times this guy is the one. There was something about Kevin that was different. The kindness, the generosity, the fact that he could put up with me! (lol) I lived in North Carolina at the time, but Kevin lived in New York. I found this odd that the app had matched us together. However, Kevin was in the process of moving to North Carolina and once he did, we finally met in person. I remembered showing up at his house and thinking "Am i crazy for doing this?!" I watched WAY too many crime shows in my time, however, after he gave me a house tour, he took me into the living room where sitting on the couch was 2 teddy bears, Oreos, Reese's, and sour patch kids. I was shocked (mostly, because he listened) that he paid such attention to detail. From that point on I knew it was meant to be.

A lot of Kevin's friends have said that I've made him a better person in the time we've known each other, and that he turned his life around. I would like to think that maybe I forced him into growing up, however, his friends and family still think otherwise! LOL.
