In 2016, Nicholas and Samantha both graduated from Massapequa High School. Neither one of them knowing each other their entire high school career. Nicholas joined the Massapequa fire department in which Samantha would come around because she was dating someone else. From there, a friendship has sparked. With the fire department dinners and hanging out at the firehouse as a group, Nicholas and Samantha grew closer.

In 2019, a snapchat was sent to Nicholas to ask a simple question and from there, Samantha and Nicholas talked every day since. Our conversations started on only Snapchat and short and sweet conversations. It eventually went on to texting and hanging out. In August, we went on our first date to see The Lion King in theaters. Our first dinner date was to La Piazza in Melville. We grew closer and our bond grew stronger. We started to meet each families and spent all the time we could together.

In 2020, COVID-19 shut down the world. Samantha was forced to finish Nursing school online and Nicholas was forced out of the NYPD academy onto the street. We had our challenges of being separated due to work. Through it all, we took many vacations together like Cancun, Punta Cana and Disney. We gambled a lot in Atlantic City. And took many day trips to various places.

In September 2022, Samantha met Nicholas and his family in Aruba for vacation. Totally unexpected by Samantha, Nicholas got down on one knee and asked Samatha to marry him. Of course, Samantha said "Yes". We came home from Aruba and had celebrated with friends and family since.

Since that day, we have been planning our day to say "I Do" on October 6, 2024.
