Our first date: Luke's mom picked him up from our first date and saw him hug me outside of the bowling alley. When he got into the car she asked "what happened to the brunette girl?" (talking about Geena who he had been "dating" the week before) Luke responded, "I got a new one now"... Okay slick.

Our Song: Luke played "Give it All we Got Tonight" in the car one day, and I loved it so much that I labeled it "our song." It wasn't until years later that I actually listened to the lyrics for the first time and realized our song was about doing the dirty in the car.

Card Games: Luke and I learned how to play kemps at a family Christmas party one year. We got home and decided to teach Luke's family how to play. We were so good at it, that everyone got mad and accused us of cheating. Kemps is now banned from the Bruich household.

High School Basketball: My high school basketball number was 14 because I wanted to be like Troy Bolton. Our senior year, I begged Luke to change his number to 14 also so that we could both be Troy. Luke had worn 32 for YEARS and told me that he would not change his jersey number for his senior year. Before the first game of the season he surprised me with his new number: 14.

Who’s the Better Cook? Luke is a far better cook than me, and he NEVER lets me live it down.

Something We Always Do Together: Everything... we're annoying like that ;)

Our Child: Luke and I have a golden retriever puppy named Romeo. Luke didn't know that we were getting a puppy, but one day at the lake I was told that there were some golden retriever puppies a few hours away. I made Luke drive me three hours away to pick up a puppy, then immediately go back home. I named him Romeo and he was MY dog: until Romeo latched onto Luke and now they are inseparable.
