This place has been producing world class theater in the woods for more than 40 years. It's one of the country's premier classical festival theaters and located on 110 acres of woods and prairie just south of Spring Green. Definitely try to get on top of the tickets if you are planning to catch a show cause they sellout VERY quickly. They release to the public beginning April 22nd.
Discover the legacy of world-renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright at Taliesin, his home and studio in Spring Green. Taliesin boasts buildings spanning nearly every decade of Wright’s career. Designated as part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a National Historic Landmark, Taliesin is a must-see destination for history/architecture buffs and cultural heritage enthusiasts.
Located eight miles south of Spring Green, this park is one of Wisconsin’s largest, with 5,270 scenic acres of hills, bluffs, and deep valleys, plus two lakes and a waterfall. The park offers hiking, biking, horse trails, camping, picnic areas, swimming, boating, and fishing. Our favorite hike is the Pine Cliff Trail!
Tower Hill is a complete natural recreation experience that also offers a fascinating glimpse of Wisconsin history. Hike to the top of the bluff where an old shot-tower and smelter house have been reconstructed and an exhibit explains the shot-making operation. The park also has eleven campsites, hiking trails, picnic area, and a canoe landing.
A short but beautiful hike on sandstone cliffs that tower more than 300 feet above the confluence of Honey Creek and the Wisconsin River near Sauk City.
Located about 34 miles away from Spring Green, Devil's Lake State Park is the state’s most popular state park. Encompassing over 10,000 acres, Devil’s Lake is part of over 27,000 acres of public recreational land in Sauk County. Devil's Lake State Park offers magnificent views from 500-foot quartzite bluffs overlooking a 360-acre lake. Visitors enjoy nearly 30 miles of hiking trails, lakeshore picnic areas, swimming beaches, paddling opportunities, and year-round naturalist programs.
