Our journey began on Hinge, where two days of texting led to a first date on August 17, 2023. It turned out to be a special day, as it was also Sierra’s parents’ anniversary—talk about a good sign! From the moment we met, we discovered a shared love for adventure, whether we’re outdoors, hunting, playing a fiercely competitive game of pickleball, or catching a show at the opera.

One of our favorite memories is a particularly unforgettable date. Sierra once casually mentioned a dream to burn a piano at sunset, and Scott, being the go-getter that he is, made it happen. He found a free upright piano on Facebook Marketplace, and the next thing we knew, we were taking dramatic sunset photos while burning a piano. It was ridiculous; it was fun.

Our connection was undeniable. Just two and a half months in, we became official. As our relationship grew, so did our bond—filled with laughter, deep conversations, and a lot of adventures. Scott stood by Sierra during her senior voice recital and college graduation, supporting her as she took big steps in her life. Sierra helped Scott with remodeling his house, including wiring outlets, staining cabinets, painting, and backsplash!

On October 20, 2024, after a year of shared growth and deepening love, Scott asked Sierra to spend forever with him on a sunny, crisp fall day. We spent the rest of the day soaking in the moment, watching funny YouTube videos, and excitedly sharing the news with our families and friends.
