After my sister Brooke and her husband, Kerwin, had their twins, Dawson and Brayden, I often heard Kerwin talk about a friend of his named Brent. He always talked about how I should go out with him but I brushed it off.

Well, one day during the summer of 2022, Brooke, Kerwin, & the boys were going out on the lake, & I decided to join them, not knowing that Brent was going as well. I remember Brooke picking me up and as she was pulling out of my driveway, she looked at me and said, “Oh yeah Brent is coming too.” From the first time we saw each other, it was an instant connection.

After a few months of talking, we decided to break things off. Fast forward to summer of 2023, I began to see Brent more often at my daddy’s, hanging out with Kerwin, of course.

That following August, Brent and I decided to give it another go & started talking again. This time felt completely different! It's like it was our perfect timing! After we had been talking for a little over a month, Brent asked me to be his

girlfriend! And of course I said yes !

For Easter this past year, Brent and I went to stay with his parents for the weekend. That Saturday, we went to a cookout at a family friend’s house, little did I know, it was all a set up for a proposal. After we had all eaten, everybody started to go outside without me noticing. Brent’s Mom

then looked at me and said, “Brent wants you to go outside.”

As I was walking through the garage, I noticed white rose petals and was thinking “What is this for?!” and when I turned the corner, there he was waiting on one knee! He asked and I SAID YES!

Looking back over our relationship, I would have never thought Brent and I were going to get back together and get married, but God had other plans.

Also, if it had not been for Brent’s best friend & the best brother-in-law, Kerwin, Brent, and I would have never met.
