On May 6, 2023, we went on what Sonya thought was a Jason and Giada date. We headed to the mall where Jason spoiled Giada at Build a Bear then he took her to glow in the dark mini golf where Giada finished it off with a hole in one for a free game. Sonya was admiring the bond they had but little did she know this was all a setup to distract her from what was yet to come. We headed back home for lunch and Giada asked when we were going to get married. Sonya replied "well Jason needs to put a ring on my finger first"; Jason just kept quiet and was confused where Giada came up with that question.

We headed to the Beauport deck for lunch and Monique Zappa joined. Last on Jason's agenda was to go to Lighthouse Beach to “look for seaglass”. Sonya wasn’t having it as the sand was wet from the tide change so Giada and Jason went off to the water and Jason reached out to his bestie for help telling Giada what was about to happen. Giada instantly knew what to do and went and grabbed Sonya telling her that she needed to take a picture with Jason. Jason proposed, Sonya said “yes”. Jason had one last surprise, where he then asked Giada to be his best friend giving her a replica ring of Sonya's. Giada also said "yes" and was rushing us off the beach because she needed "to plan the party".
