Where is the venue?
Our wedding is being hosted at The White Raven, in Alberton, MT. Alberton is about 30 miles to the West of Missoula along I-90. Directions are attached here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/MUqmDr51cU3gxUad6
The address is 6 Plateau Rd, Alberton, MT 59820.
What attire should we wear?
We would ask that guests kindly avoid the colors white, cabernet, and dark brown suits, as those are the bridal/groom party colors. As far as how dressy to get, we recommend sticking to cocktail attire, this link is to a helpful website as to what that means! https://www.brides.com/cocktail-attire-wedding-4844364
Additional attire questions?
Montana weather can be tricky, especially in late September. Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outside, so check the weather as you are packing, and consider adding an extra layer if the weather is looking chilly! Also, the venue has wonderful walking paths, but the ground may be uneven in places, so another thing to keep in mind with footwear.
What is the parking situation?
Here is the parking FAQ directly from the venue:
We have two lots (the upper and the lower). The upper lot is reserved for vendors, overnight guests, Handicap guests (please make sure your vehicle has a placard displayed), and close family helping with set-up/tare-down. The lower lot is open to everyone else. Parking attendants will help direct you during the guest arrival window.
Shuttling (via our onsite Tram) is available from the lower lot to the venue starting 30 minutes before ceremony start.
Please do not bring your RV (or any other oversized vehicle) onto White Raven property. We have very limited turnaround space and bringing such a vehicle will cause conjestion, delay, and parking issues for all other guests.
For upper lot access; please note that the parking gate will be closed ~1hr before guest arrival. After this point you will need an access code to gain entry.
Is there a wedding registry?
Yes there is! We have a registry directly on this site, with an additional link to gifts from other websites.
When should we book lodging?
We do have a selection of rooms reserved at the Grant Creek Best Western, about a 20 minute drive from the venue. Call and let them know you are in the Paulson/Huhn block and you will be able to reserve a room through them! Also, there is a Griz game in town on the day of the wedding, and Missoulians love their football games (go Griz, 'Cats suck) so book early to make sure you have a place to stay!
When should we arrive?
The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30, guests are welcome to arrive any time after 2:00.
We have dietary restrictions. How do we communicate these?
We are having Burns St Bistro cater our wedding, and the food will be some delicious BBQ. If there are any dietary restrictions, or if you need a vegetarian option, please reach out to us via email (paulsonhuhn@gmail.com) before August 15th so that we can work with the caterer!
A note about taking photos
While you are more than welcome to take all the photos you wish during the reception, we kindly ask that people refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, as we will have our photographer. We will be sharing photos as soon as we are able to, and thank you for ensuring the photos are as wonderful as can be.
Can I bring a plus one/children?
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one or additional guests, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for your understanding!
What if I don't RSVP by the deadline?
If we do not receive an RSVP back from you by our July 27th deadline, you will be marked "not attending". We will need to be providing accurate head counts for our vendors and the venue in a timely manner, so we will have to stick to that cutoff date.
What if I have questions about the venue?
You are welcome to check out the venue's website here: https://www.whiteravenmontana.com/
If there are further questions about the venue, you are more than welcome to reach out to us and we will answer those as we can!
