I did not look for Stedman and yet, he is everything I have ever dreamed of and prayed for in a partner. He just popped into in my life in the best way possible. One of my best friends (I am sure you will figure out at the wedding which friend, hehe) saw him and mentioned that she thinks he will fit perfectly with me, to which he replied, "Sure, why not!"

A few weeks later, she took my phone and followed him on Instagram (this is the true story - do not believe anything Stedman tries to sell you!). He texted me "Hey" and I replied "Heyy" (you have to show excitement but not be too eager, you know). We started talking and now it's seven years later and we have not stopped talking since.

Stedman -

Like a true modern day love story ours started on a cellphone. Yes, I know, Millennials! I remember starting a conversation with Lenay 7 years ago on Instagram. That conversation quickly moved over to WhatsApp. WhatsApp messages soon became hour-long phone calls and three months later, in-person conversations.

During this time I fell completely in love with Lenay's beauty, her mind and her heart. I feel fortunate to have met my best friend and true love in one person. I'm happy to report back that we still talk everyday on Instagram, WhatsApp, over the phone and now, forever in person.

1) What do I like most about my partner?

Lenay - The fact that I laugh with Stedman every day. We have a saying

"Alles is 'n vark joke in die huis!" because everything tends to be laughed and joked about!

Stedman – I love Lenay's sense of humour.

2) What is the strangest thing about my partner?

Lenay - Stedman is scared of Shrek! Why? How?

Stedman - Lenay doesn't like the taste of coffee. I don't think she understands life!

3) What does my partner like spending money on?

Lenay - Stedman loves collecting whiskey and experimenting with

coffee. Expensive hobbies neh!

Stedman - Lenay loves spending money on clothes and books.

4) Describe your partner in 4 words:

Lenay - He is determined, intelligent, loving and hilarious!

Stedman - Lenay is caring, strong, loving and humble.

5) What do I most look forward to in marriage?

Lenay - Saying "that's MY HUSBAND" all the time!!! I

truly look forward to continue laughing, loving, growing and building with my soulmate every day and never having to leave his side.

Stedman - I am looking forward to having my best friend around me every day and building a family together.
