Registry

We have chosen not to do a traditional registry and have opted for a cash fund in lieu of physical gifts. We are currently saving to build a house and any and all contributions would go towards our down payment. You can find the cash fund on the page titled, "Cash Fund," above. Thank you!

Policies

We ask that you please do not have your phones out during the ceremony - our amazing photographer will capture all the moments that you want to see! Please also have them silenced or turned off so that we can all be present together. We encourage pictures and videos at the reception though! The only other policy that we have is that you HAVE FUN! We are so excited to share this day with you, and we hope you have a blast with us!

Photo Sharing

If you are sharing photos from our wedding on social media, please include the hashtag, " #LHeureuxPartyof2 ," so that we can see and like all of your posts! We also have a photo-sharing app that uploads photos automatically and in real time during our event. Cash Fund

There are 4 airports in the area that offer flights from Maryland to Florida and vice versa. These airports are Punta Gorda Airport (PGD), Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ), Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW), and Tampa International Airport (TPA). All of these airports have car rentals on-site as well.

This is the closest airport to the venue (45 minutes). The only airline offered here is Allegiant, and it flies from PGD to BWI. Flights between these 2 airports are only offered on Thursdays and Sundays.

Punta Gorda Airport (PGD)

This airport is the second closest to the venue (1 hour). There are 3 airlines here that travel from Maryland to Florida. Allegiant and Southwest both fly from SRQ to BWI. United flies from SRQ to DCA or IAD.

Sarasota Bradenton International Airport

This is the airport the Davis family tends to use the most because it never seems to get crowded, and it's very easy to navigate. This airport is 1 hour and 15 minutes from the venue and has 4 airlines that fly from Maryland to Florida. American, JetBlue, and Southwest all fly from RSW to DCA. Southwest also flies from RSW to BWI. United flies from RSW to IAD.

Southwest Florida International Airport

This is the largest airport in the area, but it is also the furthest from the venue (1 hour and 45 minutes). Five airlines fly from Maryland to Florida here. Southwest and Spirit fly from TPA to BWI. Southwest, JetBlue, and American fly from TPA to DCA. United flies from TPA to IAD.

(The Venue)

Palm Island Resort is where the wedding ceremony and reception will be held. This resort is really unique because all of the units are individually owned, so no 2 places are exactly the same. The resort offers rentals of 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom villas. There are also 2 houses that may be available for rent that sleep 8-10 people. The resort is located on an island with private beaches and a lot of fun things to do. You do have to take a car ferry to get onto the island. The ferry is free for guests of the resort, and we will be paying for the ferry after cars are counted for those of you that are not staying at the resort (be sure to let them know you are there for our wedding). There will be a discount on rooms for guests of the wedding, but you must call to book your rooms in order to receive the discounted rate. We recommend that families and close friends book villas together and split the cost to save money! Below is a link to the resort's website. There are other hotels in the area besides the 10 listed above. You can look in Englewood, Venice, North Port, Port Charlotte, and Venice for the closest hotels. If you are willing to travel further and want to be in an area with more stuff to do, you can look in Fort Myers, Sarasota, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, or Tampa.

At the Venue

The resort offers a lot of fun activities! The obvious choice is the beach! There are also 5 pools throughout the resort with hot tubs. There are 10 tennis courts on the island, and you can schedule a lesson with the tennis pro. There is also yoga on the beach, guided kayak/paddle board tours, and guided nature walks. You can rent paddle boards, kayaks, bikes, or golf carts from Coconut's Cafe. Coconut's Cafe also serves as a small convenience store at the resort, has coffee and breakfast sandwiches in the morning, and serves ice cream! For a more filling meal, you can go right upstairs to Rum Bay Restaurant where the food rocks and the drinks roll. If you're looking to get out on the water, you can schedule boat tours and fishing trips with Palm Island Outfitters. PIO also has boat rentals. There's something to do for everyone!

Boca Grande is an island that we frequent! There is a $6 fee to cross the bridge, but the beaches are beautiful, and there are great restaurants and shops on the island as well! This island is 17 minutes from the venue.

Gasparilla Island State Park

Offshore Boca Grande is a charter fishing operation based out of the Boca Grande/Placida area providing a premier offshore charter fishing experience. They target grouper, snapper, king mackerel, amberjack, tuna, wahoo, mahi mahi, and sharks.

Things to Do

We both went to FGCU, but we never actually met there. We met on Bumble and had an incredibly awkward first date at Justin's house, but we powered through! We saw each other every day that first week and then we made it official on September 14, 2018. We realized we were in love with each other 1 month later after an amazing date at the beach (we told each other a month after that), and we've been in love ever since. On March 7, 2021, Justin proposed at that same beach! We're best friends, we support each other during the lowest lows and the highest highs, we never stay mad, and we laugh as much as we can. We are so excited for where this next step in our journey will take us!

Our Story

Peyton and Sydney played lacrosse together at Saint Francis for a little over a year and became best friends quickly.  When Sydney transferred, they remained in contact and are still incredibly close!

Armand and Justin met at FGCU and bonded over their love of Japanese culture (especially anime) and technology.  They go together like soy sauce and sushi.  Justin was Best Man in Armand's wedding, so now it's Armand's turn!

Ashley is Sydney's cousin, and she has been her A1 since Day 1.  Sydney is an only child, so her cousins (Ashley and Maddie) always felt more like sisters to her.

Brandon is Justin's step-brother.  They were close friends when they were kids and grew up playing baseball together.  When Justin's dad remarried Brandon's mom, they became brothers!

Maddie is Sydney's cousin also (Ashley's sister).  They have gotten really close over the years and are a lot of like.  When the cousins get together, there is never a dull moment!

Lucas is Justin's childhood best friend.  The 2 have known each other for years and grew up together.  They ended up both going to FGCU and were even roommates throughout their entire college experience.  To this day, they're still really good friends!

Megan is Sydney's childhood best friend.  They first started playing lacrosse together in 1st grade and were always on a team together until they graduated high school.  They also played soccer and field hockey together.  Megan and Sydney's parents are close friends as well, so Megan and Sydney spent a ton of time together as kids!  They are still really close now!

Evan and Justin met the summer before they started at FGCU through Lucas.  They hung out all throughout college and became really good friends. They now play on an adult softball team together every Friday!
