Although we lived just a couple of blocks away from each other and had many mutual friends, it wasn’t until 2017 that our paths finally crossed – and when they did, it was meant to be. It all started with a simple Facebook friend request that Travis sent to Kirstie. From that moment, everything changed, and the rest, as they say, is history.
We quickly discovered how well we complemented each other. It didn’t take long for us to move in together, realizing that we brought out the best in each other. Travis developed a special connection with Willoh, and over the years, we decided to take the next step and create an even bigger family by adopting Oaklee. Our home was filled with love, laughter, and plenty of adorable furball moments.
One of the things that has brought us even closer over the years is our shared love for board games. Every weekend, we gather with friends for game nights that have turned into cherished memories. It’s these simple moments – the laughter, the fun, the companionship – that make us appreciate how far we’ve come together.
And then, there’s the proposal – a moment we’ll always treasure. Neither of us is into grand, extravagant gestures, so Travis created something truly personal for the proposal. During a trip to Mexico, in the comfort of our hotel room, he surprised Kirstie with a scrapbook. It told the story of our travels, the love we’ve shared, and ended with a picture of our two wonderful cats asking, “Mommy, will you marry Daddy?” It was the perfect proposal, intimate and meaningful, just like us.
We’re beyond excited to begin the next chapter of our lives together as husband and wife. We’ve built something beautiful together, and we can’t wait to see where our journey takes us next.
