Since Valerie knows you're all dying to know it, here comes the proposal story!

Valerie has told Jake that her nails need to be done when he proposed (hello! her nails are going to be in all the pictures). The day before the proposal, Valerie had one nail that had fallen off - on her left hand of course. With the busy schedule she planned on painting it Sunday. As the day went on Jake and one of Valerie's best friends were both adamant that she fix her nail that evening. In fact, they both called her before bed to make sure the nail was fixed. This gave her a pretty good clue as to what was coming.

Going to bed, Valerie was 85% sure it was happening the next day. So, she got up a little early and put in extra effort to make sure her hair still looked good at the end of the day.

However, starting around 3 in the afternoon Valerie started to develop a migraine. These migraines can get very bad if not taken care of right away, so she took all her emergency medications and started chugging electrolyte drinks. She was not going to ruin this proposal. Despite her best efforts, Valerie arrived at Jake's house that evening with the migrane still happening, and needed to lie down for awhile.

Eventually, the migrane reduced enough that they headed out, supposedly for dinner at a local restaurant. However, Jake announced the reservations weren't until later so he was going to take Valerie down some nature trails. It was at this point (walking on nature trails in a dress), that Valerie knew 100% what was coming.

As soon as Jake said Valerie's full name she started jumping (and jumping and jumping and jumping and jumping), and neither one of them actually remember anything after that. We're all assuming he asked her to marry him but we'll never know.
