When and how should I RSVP?
To ease our planning, we ask that your RSVP as soon as you know if you are able to attend or not using the "RSVP" tab at the top of our website. Please respond no later than September 12th, 2023.
What is the dress code?
We kindly ask guests to wear formal attire to the ceremony and reception. Suits, cocktail dresses (any length is acceptable), floor-length evening gowns, or pantsuits/jumpsuits are welcome. We politely request no tuxedos or jeans. We are excited to celebrate with you all and hope you take this opportunity to dress up for a fun night out!
When and where is the ceremony?
The ceremony will be held at one thirty in the afternoon (1:30 pm) at St. Francis Xavier (1001 E 52nd St, Kansas City, MO 64110). Please arrive 10-15 minutes early.
How long is the ceremony?
The ceremony will be approximately 30-40 minutes in length.
Where and when is the reception?
At five in the evening (5 pm), you are welcome to arrive at the reception venue (The Brim - 14150 NW Walker Rd, Kansas City, MO 64163) for a cocktail hour preceding dinner. Bar service will promptly begin at 5 pm.
Are pictures are videos permitted during the ceremony?
We have an amazing crew of photographers and a videographer to capture this special sacrament. As we have photographers on hand and due to the formality of the service, we politely request that all electronics are turned off and put away during the ceremony, including cell phones and cameras.
What can I do between the ceremony and cocktail hour?
There will be an approximately 3 hour break between the ceremony and cocktail hour/reception. The ceremony will be held in the heart of Kansas City. Following the ceremony, please take the time to rest up for a fun night out, freshen up, grab a drink, or explore one of the suggestions for places to visit and explore (including some of our old favorites) that can be found under the "Things to Do" tab above. Please keep in mind that driving to the reception venue from the church will take about 35 minutes.
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
Both will be held indoors with easy and optional opportunities to enjoy the outdoors at the reception space if weather permits.
Will transportation be offered?
We politely ask all guests to organize their own transportation for the daytime ceremony. If you plan to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn listed under "Travel", there will be three round trip shuttles departing from the hotel to the reception at a time TBD. The same shuttles will transport guests back to the hotel at the end of the night.
Can I bring my children?
All children formally invited to the ceremony and reception will be listed by name on the invitation that you receive. Due to space restrictions, we politely ask that, if your children did not receive a formal invitation, they not attend and that you use this night as a special date night.
What is the plan for food and beverages?
We will provide an open bar (beer, wine, signature cocktails) and buffet for all guests. Thank you for coming to share our special day with us!
