Peggy was fantastic!!!!!! She was highly responsive, very accommodating, and the friendliest person I’ve ever met! She felt like a part of the family by the end of our wedding I’m sad I won’t see her every few months! The venue is well taken care of, offers inside and outside spaces and is great for small to medium weddings. The price is outstanding for all it has to offer. Definitely recommend!

The charm and uniqueness of the space made it stand out from other venues, and it truly fit us perfectly. On top of that, the price was fantastic for such a one-of-a-kind location.
A huge part of what made our experience so wonderful was the coordinator, Peggy. She was incredible to work with - she was so kind and genuinely invested in making sure our day was everything we hoped for. Her guidance and support made the planning process smooth and stress-free.
Throughout the wedding, we kept getting compliments from guests about how stunning the venue was. Everyone was blown away by the atmosphere and character of the Manor House, and it made our celebration feel extra special.

ncel. I was told if I sold my date I would get my money back. However, I have had numerous people try to contact them about purchasing my date and none of them have ever been contacted back. I paid $3,400 in full and now no one can answer the phone or respond to an email about refunding my money or selling my contract. This is no way to run a business or treat customers.

She made sure neither one of us had to lift a finger the day of the wedding and could just focus on getting married! I could not recommend this place more, they were very accommodating and made sure all of our needs/wants were met.

n it got closer to the date we she had left and a new woman came in charge and I wasn’t so thrilled but you go with the covers thrown at you. When the date arrived it’s like she wanted nothing to do with it. Yes I know I just did my reception dinner there but she stayed upstairs in the office and only showed her face maybe a couple of times . It’s like she wanted nothing to do with anything. It’s like she was disgusted with us being there and it’s like we were wasteing her time. When we were wrapping everything up she was quick to come and make sure everything was cleaned back up and made sure it looked like no one was there for that day. I just was not please with any of the new people.

ed for the ceremony and reception. It’s so versatile! We had about 150 people at our wedding and had our ceremony outside and our reception inside. We easily fit everyone inside for food and dancing! We made room for the dance floor by moving 3 tables out of the ballroom after dinner. Mary Jane is the optional coordinator that you can pay extra to have once you book a wedding at the Manor House. We hired her to be our wedding coordinator starting two months out from the wedding date. She handled all of the communication with our vendors, set up all of our decor, and made sure our day ran smoothly. She is amazing and has an impeccable attention to detail! Lastly, depending on what time of year you have your wedding at the manor house, it is pretty affordable. Because of the venue’s affordability, we were able to splurge on other small details that I wouldn’t be able to afford to do else-ware. I highly recommend this venue!

the whole day made all the difference in the world since we DIY'd all the decorations and needed time and space to set up. The coordinator was beyond patient with my inexperience and made everything so smooth and stress-free! The house and grounds are so beautiful in photos and the dressing areas are spacious and comfortable. The house has plenty of bathrooms and parking spots (an unromantic detail but vital to the comfort of the guests!) All the recommended vendors we used were fantastic and highly organized. I'm so grateful that my memories of my wedding day (and indeed the whole weekend) are only happy ones, thanks in large part to The Manor House!

We hired Jenefer as our day coordinator and she kept everything running smoothly and on time! We were able to meet with her several times prior to go over details and last minute items. She even accommodated the extra people who showed up! Everyone raved about the beautiful venue and lovely grounds. It was a pleasure to work with both ladies and I highly recommend this venue for a wedding or any event!

The reception was beautiful, but we were particularly happy with how accommodating the venue was. We worked closely with Mary Jane, who is super friendly, accommodating, organized, and knowledgeable. She met with us on multiple occasions to let us see the venue, plan decorations and map the evening. We were so pleased with Mary Jane that we ended up requesting her to be our reception coordinator. We were so glad we did – she talked with me extensively about what I wanted, and then she took care of everything for the reception. The reception went really smoothly because of her help. She thought of everything!
Overall, the Manor House at Kings Charter was an absolutely wonderful place for our wedding!

The venue was picture perfect after a hurricane took down a tree on our chosen ceremony site... and nobody could ever tell! eat venue, but I will keep it short. The grounds are gorgeous inside and out and require minimal decorations. There are several options for ceremony and receptions areas. We did our ceremony in front of the gazebo and then the reception in the main room of the manor.
Now the most important. Repeat after me. DAY OF COORDINATOR. I am not a big planner and I had to plan this wedding from across the country. Mary Jane was amazing. They offer the day of coordinator for an additional, but extremely reasonable fee. I had no stress on the day of my wedding. She helped with decorations, vendor setup, the wedding timeline, making sure we ate and drank everything we needed, and making sure after we left, all the leftovers and decorations got to the right place. She is an ALL STAR.
My day here was perfect. I highly recommend this site for your special day.

The venue has many beautiful trees and flowers outside and on the inside it has a gorgeous layout that you will have to see for yourself! Because of this, we did not have to purchase hardly any decorations to fit our ideal day however it is also a perfect place to decorate however you would like to! They are also very helpful with suggestions (especially for people who do not like making a billion decisions-like myself). I highly suggest, at the very least, to go and have a look at this venue!

Now that my wedding is over, I miss out texts back and forth. I plan to come back and visit The Manor House and Andrea every chance I get!

The house and the grounds are absolutely stunning and has so much history inside the house. We can't thank them enough for going above and beyond and making our day so special.

love our ceremony and reception space but our guests did too - we are still getting compliments. Mary Jane was our coordinator on the day-of and did such a phenomenal job. She even drove to my house while we were busy having our makeup done because I had left my special wedding dress hanger at home! I joke that in 2017 we should have a one year celebration party at the Manor House because we enjoyed being there so much! Anyways, the venue is wonderful and I wouldn't have wanted our special day to be anywhere else!

been more pleased. Everything was beautiful, the grounds outside and inside the house as well. My daughter loved going to Williamsburg as a young girl, and the house is modeled after the same period.
Andrea Perkins was our wedding coordinator at the manor house. She did a wonderful job, was on top of everything. She helped us decorate the night before the wedding; we couldn't have done it without her! It was very important to her that everything be just the way my daughter wanted it to be. I would highly recommend her if you are in need of a wedding coordinator.

sweet and accommodating from the first day we met all through the months of planning and especially the wedding weekend. Our day was perfect and ran so smoothly. She made sure we were able to enjoy ourselves and even made me a plate for dinner so I got to eat before everyone else. I would highly recommend the Manor House if you are looking for the perfect wedding venue and coordinator!!

meeting with Mary Jane, we knew all the details would be attended to with care. Mary Jane was the best and we became friends through the process! She helped us to find Sam Edwards Catering who provided quality, value, and flexibility. Mary Jane’s team approach worked well. She connected with Erica at Black Creek Flowers and with William’s Bakery. She also provided creative flexibility – from letting us use the house frames for personal photos, and our own decorations and flowers throughout the house and on the grounds. The Manor House became ours & felt so much like home during the set up and the day of. The house & catering staff accommodated our weather pending last minute decisions to have the wedding outside and the reception in doors. The suites upstairs were amply spacious for Kelsey and Grayson to have pre-wedding time to gather with their bridal party, to make-up, touch up, and pray before the wedding. It was wonderful! A sweet day to remember.

xtra money. One of the things I initially loved about the Manor House is that it is already so beautiful that there is very little that has to be done as far as décor (because let's be honest, I'm a little lazy). The Manor House has several beautiful outdoor settings for the ceremony (but in case of rain can easily switch it to inside). We were lucky enough to have our ceremony outdoors and fabulous weather. We chose the front lawn because it seemed the shadiest for our guests and we loved having the house in the background, but they also have an awesome gazebo and garden in the back which we used for our first dance. We had the ballroom for the indoor reception which was nice for the summer wedding. Andrea was wonderful. She took the time to meet with us to hammer out the details of the day 60 days out and then about 2 weeks before. She was a pro and thought of a lot of things we would have forgotten about. She took care of getting all of the decorations put out the day of so my husband and I didn't have to worry about anything. During the wedding, she also helped us with getting all of our guests to the right places (into the ceremony chairs, out to the gazebo, back in for the reception). Andrea watched out for my husband and I all night making sure we didn't need anything and never went without a drink. My husband and I truly had the best day and could not be more happy with the Manor House.
The Manor House also had great suggestions for other vendors (caterers, flowers, cake, officiants, etc). Another bonus was that because the Manor House has so many weddings, they have tons of centerpieces, etc. décor in their closet that previous couples donated (mirrors, vases, candle holders, etc).

so hired Andrea as our coordinator and I'm glad we did! She was on top of everything and kept the day going smoothly. We didn't have to worry about a thing! The gardens were beautiful and the decorations inside were set up exactly how we wanted them. Everything turned out even better than we had expected! I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone!
