up to the wedding, Gerise answered every single email and question I had promptly. You'll find during the wedding planning process that that kind of prompt communication is incredibly rare. They're incredibly experienced, so if you have any sort of off-the-wall idea, they've done a wedding like that before and can send you a layout and ideas around that. Weddings are expensive, and while we still spent more than we hoped originally, it's so great they don't try to price gouge you every step of the way like some places. Day of, we were treated very luxuriously, there were plates made up for the groom and I from the buffet line and cocktail hour by their staff, and our families felt well taken care of as well. We were able to be pretty minimal on the decor, too, as the venue is so beautiful, and there are beautiful photo opportunities everywhere. A lot of chairs and linens are included which will also save you money. The weather was touch and go day of our wedding, and apparently they kept moving the ceremony back and forth outdoors to indoors back to outdoors unbeknownst to me as the rain kept stopping and starting, which was incredibly nice of them, and we were ultimately able to get married outdoors! The paved terrace is wonderful for outdoor ceremonies since it dries quickly. They also allowed us to come a little early for photos without charge, because the rain was going to ruin our plans for photos at the park. We LOVED the fried chicken, and the shrimp and grits martini station in particular, and the charcuterie and hummus spreads were gorgeous during cocktail hour. Our bartenders followed us instructions perfectly for our signature cocktails and garnished them beautifully. If your friends are degenerates like mine, be sure to ask the bartenders not to allow shots--unlike a lot of other event venues, they'll allow it and it probably put a few of our guests over the edge by the end of the night! The stories were hilarious though so many thanks to the Carlyle House for helping us throw the beautiful ceremony and the raging reception I dreamed of!

! Stepping onto the beautiful grounds, canopied by 100 year old Magnolia trees, you know immediately you are in for something special! The yellow and white cottage with wrap around porch opens into a sparkling, chandelier filled Ballroom. Glistening hardwood floors through out. Mouth watering aromas wafted out of the culinary state of the art kitchen. Award winning chef William Janousek was preparing the day's event menu on the morning we visited. This is one of the finest event destinations we found in the Atlanta area. And believe me- we looked! They feature multiple options for indoor, outdoor, intimate or large gatherings. Gerise Janousek met with us multiple times to help guide us as we planned the Wedding. She is knowledgeable and has years of experience in event planning. This has resulted in a great and long standing reputation for excellence. Some pluses that checked the box for us : The 173 Carlyle House provides all tables, chiavari dining chairs, linens, dishes, flatware, bar & glassware, dining glassware and staff. The menu is custom so Emilie and Jeremy were able to select the items they wanted and then we selected wine and beer for the Menu . We loved that we were allowed to bring our own Liquors and hard spirits in for the bar! Emilie and Jeremy were married in the ballroom, then moved to the cottage and lawn for cocktails, the ballroom was set for dinner and dancing next. Dinner was wonderful, the staff perfectly attentive. The bride and groom looked so happy and beautiful as they danced the first dance under the crystal chandeliers. The dance floor filled up and everyone had an incredible fun night! Thank you Gerise and the team at 173 Carlyle House for making this Wedding everything Emilie and Jeremy dreamed of!

While our event was not technically a wedding, this would be the perfect place to hold one based on our experience with our event. upfront and honest on pricing. - She took our needs for a totally gluten and dairy free menu VERY seriously. - She answered emails and phone calls promptly and allowed multiple visits to the venue to visualize and try out items in the space. - Other vendors raved about her and the culture of the venue as well. We had around 170 guest. We filled up the ballroom but with the space of the house and the beautiful yard and patio people had plenty of places to mingle and visit. 173 Carlyle is a great value and much of that value is because of Gerise! It was great to know we could depend on her.

Gerise and her staff are great to work with and take care of the details so that you can enjoy your guests. My son is celiac and has other dietary restrictions and Gerise and staff went the extra mile to provide a safe and delicious food experience for him and all of the guests!! As the parents of the groom, we hosted a welcome party for all out of town guests following the rehearsal dinner. Everyone had such a good time!! I would not have changed a thing about the evening. It was lovely in every way!

Everything was better than we ever could've imagined. The location was perfect for taking pictures in Downtown Norcross and Lillian Webb Park. h. We had our ceremony outside and I've been getting so many comments on how beautiful it was with the Fall leaves in the background. Gerise was there throughout the months leading up to answer any questions we had and provide us with the best advice. She was extremely helpful in making sure everything was set up just how we wanted it for the day of. The food was absolutely amazing; our guests raved about it (especially the southern grits bar). It was so convenient that everything was made right in house, so we never needed to worry about finding a caterer. Same with the cake, which my husband and I are still talking about. I could not recommend the 173 Carlyle House enough to anyone looking for a beautiful venue filled with classic charm!

met someone and was married for the second time September 2019. The entire wedding was unique because 6 children participated in the ceremony. The ceremony and reception all were held at the Carlyle House of Norcross. The plans were made, menus selected and ceremony when off without a “hitch”. The facility which is just south of the historic village of Norcross, the setting is like a plantation on a hill overlooking this beautiful park. The Event hall is large, spacious and well-appointed and the air conditioning “really works”. The ceremony took place with the Bride, Groom, children and attendants dancing down the aisle. The Ceremony concluded and photo taking took place while guest nibbled on amazing hors d’oeuvre and cocktails. You have to have an event here just to try the bacon wrapped stuffed dates with blue cheese. The food was amazing and our guest loved the onsite preparation and quality. I later found out this is a family run organization and it shows. The entire event is managed by Gerise Janousek, the Event Coordinator who keep us on track during the rehearsal and wedding ceremony. Then a great cake cutting and dancing. What a perfect night for the start of my daughter’s Brady Bunch family. The event went off without any issues, people had fun and total focus was on the wedding not details of the wedding. The Carlyle House is excellently managed and is a great value in a wonderful setting convenient to Atlanta. JCv Atlanta
