Our Wedding

Betting on Forever

Seven has always been a lucky number. And for us, it became the date we started, the day we'll say I do, and everything in between. We met in Madison, Wisconsin in 2022. From day one, it was clear this was something more than just friends, the kind of connection you don't overthink, you just follow. A few dates later, on July 7th, 2022, we made it official. Turns out, that date would end up meaning more than either of us could have imagined. What followed were years of adventures near and far, from the streets of New Orleans to the countryside of Italy, and all the everyday moments in between that quietly turn into a life built together. But it was a trip to Cancun, Mexico for a close friend's engagement party that left a lasting mark. Something about that trip, the warmth, the ocean, the energy of it all, made it one of our favorites. It planted a seed. Then, in September 2025, we finally checked off the top of both our travel bucket lists: Hawaii. Vinny had a surprise in store, and apparently that surprise involved a steep hike to the top of the Crouching Tiger. Somewhere at the top, between catching our breath and taking in the view, Vinny got down on one knee and asked Jason to make it official forever. Spoiler: he said yes. The celebration continued with engagement photos at Turtle Bay, where the beauty of the islands made something click. We knew we wanted to get married on a beach, and we knew just where to find one. On July 7th, 2027, 7/7/27, exactly five years to the day from when it all began, we'll be saying our vows in the Riviera Maya, Mexico. Triple sevens. Lucky by every measure. A full circle moment back to a country that already holds some of our favorite memories, celebrated on the most special date to us, with the friends and family who have meant so much to us along the way.

As hotel guests, transportation to Xcaret, Xplor, Xplor Fuego, and Xenses runs every 30 minutes from the resort — no separate transfer needed. Always bring your physical passport to all parks; digital copies are not accepted at entrance.

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. You are traveling a great distance to join our celebration so gifts are not an expectation. If you are inclined to give a gift, we will be accepting cash donations to our Honeymoon Fund in lieu of physical items.
