It was towards the end of the year in 2020 when Natasha ran across the name “Jess Reaser” on Bumble. She initiated the first interaction and waited for a response. Jess was giving up on the dating apps and delayed logging in, later admitting he had to pay to get back the swipe. They began communicating, chatting back and forth, where Jess confidently boasted being a “Professional Bullrider. You may have heard of me. I’m big in New Mexico.” Natasha, never had heard about him, nor was she interested in Bullriding. She unintentionally humbled Jess with a response, “Oh that’s cool. What else do you like doing?” This friendship blossomed with FaceTime and phone calls, until their first date in December 2020, putting up a Christmas tree and decorating it. It would be later that night when Jess would ask Natasha to go out with him and be his girlfriend. Their second and first “real” date was going to the Botanical Gardens River of Lights.

They have helped one another get through difficult situations throughout the last 4 years, with a firm foundation on their beliefs and values. Going to the River of Lights became a special tradition they would do to celebrate Christmas and their anniversary. It wasn’t until December 17, 2023, that Jess convinced his parents to join them and asked Natasha to marry him under the same lights they took their first photo and where Natasha shared she’d dreamt of getting married in that area since she was little.

They still go to the River of Lights in December. Still tease one another about how Jess introduced himself. Still love one another like they did on their first date and had their first kiss. They are excited to celebrate their love with close friends and family on October 3, 2025.
