This is the tale of how Trent Beardsley and Keely Roberts came to be acquainted, and soon thereafter, very much in love. Written from the very unbiased perspective of her loving sister.

Keely and Trent met through their family. Keely’s older sister (that’s me) married one of Trent’s cousins, (Jamie) and so they were very often invited to the same social gatherings, and bonded over mutual interests rather quickly. You’re probably wondering- Was it love at first sight? Well, like all of the most interesting love stories, it was more complicated than that. Trent was already in a relationship when he met Keely. The Scandal! Being the loyal man that he was, he avoided even looking at her, because he found her to be very pretty, and was trying to do right by his girlfriend at the time. Ever the gentleman, truly.

However, as you may have guessed, Trent and his aforementioned girlfriend (thankfully) did not pan out. Here is when things shifted. As I told you, we know Trent was enraptured by her beauty from the beginning, but Trent was not the only one who was keene.

Keely… my baby sister… who has never given a man the time of day, really, was suddenly turning into the suavest of flirts. I had never known her to have such a talent, and let me tell you- finding out that your unpracticed little sister had the confidence and skill of a master- well it was shocking to say the least.

Now these two were openly, obviously, and pathetically crushing on each other, and it was getting painful to behold! It did not take long before I began scheming up ways to make this thing happen. Ultimately though, it was really my husband’s work that got the job done. Jamie accidentally spilled the beans about Keely’s crush on Trent over an online group call, when he was mistakenly under the impression that Trent had stepped away from his computer. Trent was in fact, not away from his computer, and was now privy to this key information. We forgive Jamie’s blunder, though, because Trent soon after plucked up the courage to ask Keely out. Their first date was the start of a beautiful relationship, in which they have both grown together, and as individuals. I have scarcely seen a couple so dedicated to one another. If you have spent any time around them, you know that they are irrevocably and truly in love.
