Marley was an outstanding wedding planner partner. We planned a large wedding (250+) on New Year's Eve, which made for a longer night (the reception didn't end until after midnight...), and we had big plans with a tight budget. Marley and Alliey helped us work through food vendors/choices that were less pricey but still super classy. They also helped us incorporate an open bar and hit our budget number. Even though we served chicken/pork/vegetarian only (no beef), we received many accolades for the food. 50+ guests offered unsolicited compliments on how good the food tasted - saying it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding.
From helping us choose first-class vendors to pivoting when we needed to make last-minute changes, Marely consistently gave 100% passion to the job. We always landed positively – sometimes even better than what was initially planned. I can't count how many times Marely (and Shelia – her assistant/day of planner) said, "This is my job, not yours; I will take care of it." Being a hands-on person and having planned two other weddings for our other children before this one, those weren't words I was accustomed to hearing. In retrospect, they were the sweetest words of support ever. Their team set up the DIY items we brought to the wedding and took them down at the end of the night. I think Marley and Sheila each worked 12+ hours the day of the wedding (and were only supposed to be there eight – overlapping each other). When I asked Marley why she was still there closer to 10 pm, she said, "It's nothing for you to worry about. There are just some details I want to ensure are attended to." They offered to bring me drinks, tissues, ensured I had my MOB seat up front, found me to ask questions throughout the night that needed a quick decision (explaining the situation and why we may need to pivot in a thorough, supportive way), told me over and over again how beautiful and magical the night was and on and on and on. Seriously. They ROCK.
I honestly think I'd need another 500 words to adequately express how indebted we are to their team. Bottom line, I was skeptical about hiring a "day of" wedding planner, whose job was to consult, coordinate vendor partnerships throughout, set up/take down, and ensure everything ran smoothly on the wedding day. We were already short on budget, and I was worried that I was jeopardizing other wedding items (like the décor we were coordinating ourselves) by allocating that money toward a day-of-planner. But our family lived 2.5 hours away from the venue, so I knew we needed liaison help. It turns out that of everything we purchased for the wedding, services from Alliey & Company were the very best. Hands down – we could not have gotten through it without Marely, Sheila, Allison and their professional team. I'd recommend them to anyone and everyone I meet. Thank you x a million for one of the best days of our lives.
