We did the trash the dress the day after out wedding and it was so much fun and the pictures were ridiculously gorgeous. They got so many amazing photos on the evening of our wedding and we didn't even notice they were there. Zack was a fantastic resource for me as we got married in Tulum for wedding coordinators, catamaran companies, makeup artists and when I ran ideas by him, he gave me great feedback from a photographic standpoint. Unfortunately, our wedding was right after Hurricane Harvey and the photographer wasn't able to make it due to flooding, but Zach drove all they way from Austin with a gas shortage going on and made our day as stress free as possible! They really went above and beyond and the photos turned out amazing!! We even ended up doing a Honeymoon shoot with them in Tulum and can not wait to see the beautiful photos!

stan in February of 2016. I spent quite some time looking for a photographer and my searches would always end with me being back on Amber Kelley Photography. Not only was I impressed with the reviews other clients had written, I was absolutely in love with the pictures that were on the screen in front of me. I filled out an inquiry with my fingers crossed because we needed to get our engagements done before he left – as he would not return until November. I was so excited to receive a quick reply that stated they would be able to squeeze in engagements before he left – and would love to work with us for our wedding and also videography. We met with Amber & Zack back in January of 2016 and they were so wonderful – very personable and passionate about what they do. We booked that same day for photography & videography! (Word of advice: if you can, book these 2 together, they all know each other and have worked together before – helps wedding day to run smoothly! We are still anxiously waiting for our wedding video – but we know it will be great. J. Headrick and his team are wonderful and also enjoy working together to capture the sweetest moments.) My husband is not one to be super fond of pictures – he was slightly concerned our engagement session would be “awkward” but I assured him it would be great! Sure enough, it was more than that – we were laughing the whole time all thanks to Amber & Zack. They are both so talented – and we were head over heels in love with our engagements. Fast-forward a year and a half later, we had the pleasure of working with Katy Rankin, Summer, and Cody on our wedding day, June 9, 2017. Katy is the Austin lead photographer and is an absolute joy to be around. In the week leading up to the wedding she was eager to chat on the phone, text with any questions I had, and was super responsive to emails. It is truly like having a friend around when you have someone like her – she is always smiling, was open to any picture ideas/requests, and is of course super knowledgeable in her skill. I was super anxious to see all of our pictures – after seeing them for the first time today, they truly take my breath away. Katy and her team work together so well to capture life’s precious moments. Katy is so amazingly talented, she was able to keep me calm when I was worried about guests being in the background of pictures, worked with our entire family to get group shots (which can be difficult with so many people), and kept a smile on her face throughout the entire evening. Highly recommend Amber Kelley Photography – I could not imagine our day being captured more beautifully and am so grateful to have these photographs forever.

Zack came to shoot our wedding and he really knew his stuff and it's clear in the amazing quality of our photos. They actually had accidentally got double booked and I thought I would have to find a new photographer (which was difficult! nothing compared to their quality!), and they were kind enough to figure out a way to make it work for us and I am sooo glad they did! She is the best at communicating and answering any questions/concerns. She also made our engagement session really fun and not as awkward as what we were expecting! ur 25th anniversary trip. I was drawn to their beautiful playful images of couples in love. Their pictures were expressive and told the story of those they photographed. From the start they made us feel comfortable and at ease. Our session never felt staged or cookie cutter. They asked what our vision was and guided us to make it happen. d Katy really went above and beyond what I was expecting. We had a Nov 2016 wedding and my mom and I were just re-living the day through the most perfect pictures ever taken of us. I am not just saying this as the bride, multiple friends and family members have said the same thing. There was literally not one single bad picture taken of anyone in the whole gallery. Katy was super professional and organized yet so friendly and knowledgable. Very easy to get ahold of and she provided good communication throughout the whole process. She made shooting comfortable and helped us relax and she knows what works and what doesn't (which is why I think every picture came out amazing). Cost wise, it was on the splurge side for us, but worth every penny.

was INCREDIBLE!!!! I am not a fan of having my picture taken, so I was super nervous about our pictures but Katy was so wonderful to us. She was patient, kind and hilarious! We loved her sense of humor because she made us feel so comfortable! We loved our session with her but still worried our pictures might not be flattering...you know, the usual worries; how many chins will I have? How big is my tummy going to look? Amber and Zack were helpful and great in ever detail from where the pictures were taken to the time of day and the poses. As for the wedding day, we got exactly what we expected and more. We had a morning wedding with an evening reception and they were more than willing to come in the morning and again for the reception. Before the wedding I filled out a questionnaire that communicated the most important pictures to me and they got all of those pictures. Amber Kelley Photography caught my attention because they captured what I was looking for, which was the use of natural lighting and capturing the moments in a genuine way. My husband and I wanted to do our engagement photos at Pedernales Falls State Park but it would require hiking and climbing up and down rocks. When we told Amber and Zack that was where we would like to our engagement photos, they were as enthusiastic and up for the adventure as we were. During our engagement shoot, we had such a great time with Amber and Zack. It was like we were hiking with friends just enjoying the day and capturing the moments. The engagement photos came out wonderful. They were so beautiful and Amber and Zack actually got them to us early, which was great because I was able to use them for our save-the-dates. As it got closer to our wedding, Amber and Zack checked in with us to confirm times and details, and I was always able to get ahold of them with questions. On the big day, it was awesome having Amber in the bridal suite and Zack in the groom suite to capture us both getting ready and spending time with friends and family before the wedding. Amber was so patient with me. I was dealing with a roller coaster of emotions before the wedding. I had a videographer as well at my wedding and Amber and Zack worked so well with him during the ceremony and reception. During the ceremony, I loved how Amber and Zack were able to catch different angles of the ceremony. After the ceremony, we had family and wedding party photos. Amber and Zack did great coordinating this. We were able to finish right on time as the cocktail hour was ending leading into dinner. During the reception, Amber and Zack were on top of capturing everyone dancing, which was important to us because we love dancing, and were able to even sneak in photos of my husband and I by the fire. At the end of the night, we had sparklers during our send off and some special request photos that we wanted with sparklers. Amber and Zack did great capturing them all! I truly can't say enough great things about Amber and Zack. They are so creative, talented, patient and accommodating. They really made my husband and I feel comfortable all the while capturing our special day for us.

They got our preview photos (over 100) back to us within a couple of weeks and the final photos within 3 weeks. I am a native Texan and my fiancé Mike is from Connecticut where we currently live, and Amber Kelley Photography made it incredibly easy for us to plan a photo session with them, even from far away and only a month out from when we planned to be down in Texas. Neither of us had ever done a photo shoot like this before, so we were kind of nervous, but from the moment we met Amber, Zach and Katy we clicked with them. The whole session was really memorable and so much fun! They were willing to meet us outside of Austin where they live, down in Gruene, to make it the most perfect and picturesque photo shoot for our style and vision. We got so lucky to meet three of the four members of the team- Katy, Amber and Zach, and each offered an awesome perspective that was right in line with what we wanted and made us feel like we had paparazzi! They were very in-tune with our story and how we wanted to ‘tell the story,’ and listened to the little things we wanted (I wanted to wear my boots and have that be a feature in some of the pictures, we wanted the water tower in the background, etc.). Amber and Zach were so easy to get a hold of through email, text, etc. and the final edited images only took about 2-3 weeks to get back- ready to go/ready to use for save the dates and to show to family and friends. They never once made us feel pressured to spend a bunch of money on extras or add-ons, and they genuinely asked how everything was for us and if we needed anything else after we received everything. They also set up a phone date with us to go over any questions we might have about booking them for the wedding once we said we wanted that! We are definitely booking them for our wedding now that we have a venue set for next year!
