xactly what I wanted and nailed it! The biggest thing I wanted for florals on my wedding day was a gorgeous arch and WOW did they deliver. My guests still talk about it and I still daydream about it it was that stunning. Of course, with an arch like that everything else was stunning too from the bouquets to the table decor, it was just perfect and one of my favorite things about our day. my bouquet until bedtime as I was so obsessed with it. We also had a fairly specific special request that I truly didn't even expect to be possible - the incorporation of a carnivorous plant into the design. Jamie somehow tracked down venus flytraps in October and put them in my bouquet and my husband's boutonniere. She also took another personal aspect (my husband works with tropical plants) and created a tastefully semi-tropical feel that totally worked in October in Michigan. I also loved that our flowers didn't look like anyone else's I've seen, even in previous work by Pontius - it was truly tailored for what we were looking for. Overall fabulous work, professional, reliable, and above all the attention personal details meant so much - can't recommend enough!

I had put together a mood board of florals I had seen online to give Jamie an idea of what I liked... including a photo of a bouquet she had designed that I said was my ultimate favorite. When I saw the flowers on our wedding day I could not have been more amazed. The bouquets were GORGEOUS. The bridesmaids gasped when they got delivered to our cottage that morning! She brought my dream bouquet inspiration to life throughout the entire venue, including a floral installation she designed behind the bride/groom seats that took our breath away. Jamie was very responsive and so patient with me as I floated various ideas past her over the course of a few months. She made a number of adjustments to our quote as I debated exactly what I wanted for the ceremony, terrace and reception florals. She also had great ideas for how we could repurpose the ceremony flowers on the terrace and dance floor. A huge THANK YOU to Jamie and her team for bringing such brightness to our (very rainy) wedding day through your beautiful flowers. We could not have asked for anything more!!

Jamie listened to my specific requests and ideas, but the more we worked together the more I realized that she knew exactly what I was going for and I was able to trust her artistic eye without worrying about every little detail. She is everything you want in a wedding florist and we could not recommend her enough!

She provided individual prices for everything (i.e. centerpieces, archway flowers, etc.) which was extremely helpful in determining the final product. Jamie wasn't phased by the fact that our wedding was at a location that had never had one before and that my brother built the archway. When I asked for 30 cacti one week before our rehearsal dinner, Jamie said 'no problem, we're on it'! Her team was flawless in their day-of execution and the flowers were flawless. She truly made the dreams I didn't even know I had come true! Honestly we were so sad to see it all come down at the end of the event. Do not look anywhere else for your flower vendor, Pontius is the best of the best!

Flowers are a large expense and you really don’t know until you arrive how everything will look, but I am so happy to say we were elated-the flowers fit the brides vision and reception venue perfectly. She was communicative, always responding to my hundreds of emails and even came out to meet us at the venue one day on very short notice to help me get an idea of the installation she had in mind. She had plenty of recommendations, which was great because although I knew I wanted flowers to be a huge part of our event, I really didn't know much about them. She went back and forth with me to help me figure out how to get the biggest bang for my buck but ultimately left the decisions of where to spend the money up to me. She was kind, prompt, down-to-earth, patient, has impeccable taste and is more reasonably priced than some other florists in the area. I highly recommend Jamie and the team at A.R. xceeded my expectations. Jamie was seamless to work with. She asked for photos of arrangements that I liked and then sent me a list of corresponding flowers that were in season. I then went through and googled each flower and told her whether I wanted them incorporated or not. She made notes on everything that I requested and was very respectful of my budget. We stuck to my budget exactly and she worked to adjust the size/quality of arrangements to make sure I got all the flowers that I wanted for the ceremony, reception, etc. I cannot express enough how perfect and fresh all of the arrangements were. My favorite part of the whole experience was how attentive she was to my request of having my plum and burgundy flowers so rich in color that they were "almost" black. She was so tasteful in her treatment of this request and knocked it out of the park. There's no other word to describe her work than STUNNING. I would recommend working with A.R. Pontius over and over again. My husband and I send our deepest gratitude for helping make our day so perfect. All the love!

We really appreciated her honesty and are so glad we listened to her because she obviously knows what she is doing, everything turned out perfectly. She is also so chill and reassuring which was nice for both my wife and I, to have a calming voice in all the crazy wedding planning! We had pretty simple flowers for our wedding and Jaime made everything look so classically beautiful, from the greens on the tables to the bridesmaids bouquets, it was just what we wanted. edding planning process. I probably emailed her more than any other vendor, and she always emailed me back so promptly. I didn’t have a crazy budget for florals and I was so worried that my reception hall would look bare. When I showed up to my reception, I was blown away by how amazing everything looked! From the centerpieces, to the cake, to the simple greenery around the entrance tables, everything looked incredible. Definitely 5 stars and I recommend A.R. Pontius to anyone planning their Northern Michigan wedding!

with Jamie- my only criteria was bright flowers. She came up with tons of ideas that incorporated the bright flowers and also included a natural element, like lots of greenery, that complemented the garden venue. I also wanted a floral installation, and Jamie scouted out our venue ahead of time and came up with the perfect design within our budget. The installation, centerpieces, arch flowers, and bouquets were so beautiful. Many of our guests commented on how much they liked the flowers, and everyone who sees pictures always notes the flowers. I'm so pleased with how everything turned out, I can't recommend A.R. Pontius Flower Shop enough!

uet was breathtaking! I couldn't believe it. The bridesmaid's flowers were just baby's breath but she made them the most gorgeous I've seen. She made the sweetest wreath for the flower girl. And the altar flowers were amazing. I can't recommend her highly enough. So if you don't have a lot to spend on flowers or if your budget is unlimited USE Jamie. You will be over the moon with the results.

s but I was a bit intimidated as I know little about flowers and had already allocated most of my wedding budget to other areas. Jamie was absolutely wonderful to work with. She is an expert on flowers - she knew every answer to any question I asked and could advise me on how flower species look, their colors, and how they hold up throughout the night. She was able to guide a beginner like me and help me through the process of selecting my dream wedding flowers. Did I mention that I met with Jamie about 1 month before my April wedding date and she was still able to make it happen? She helped me choose flowers based on that short timeline, my budget, and my preferences. Jamie knew what to ask to learn what I like and also to help me assess my options. We looked at pictures and based on my feedback she was able to make more suggestions from there and help me find my dream flowers! Jamie also helped me make the most out of decorating the space within my desired budget. For example, I used the same two large arrangements in my ceremony space and had them moved to flank the DJ table on the dance floor to decorate my reception space. Jamie gives great advice and was able to gather my preferences from our one meeting and email/phone correspondence after. She was very quick to respond, extremely friendly and accommodating, and super helpful. I went through A.R. Pontius to transport my flowers as well and they arrived beautifully and intact. When I got to my venue (Castle Farms in Charlevoix) on my wedding day I was blown away by the bouquets and floral arrangements. I brought them home with me too and enjoyed them for a couple weeks after! I can't say enough about how amazing my experience with Jamie and A.R. Pontius was for my wedding! I only wish I lived closer so I could get flowers from there more often!
