Erin created the most stunning cake for our wedding- it truly was an artform, and we still can't believe how wonderful it turned out. In addition, it was absolutely delicious- both flavors chosen were perfectly balanced (coconut with passionfruit curd and hazelnut with chocolate ganache and salted caramel buttercream), and the texture was moist and dense. She also provided the most delectable salted chocolate chip cookies which I still think about daily... Thank you Erin!

Don't hesitate, just book! Erin does amazing work. My wedding planner recommended her to us, so I checked out her website and Wedding Wire page and loved her work. But beauty is only skin deep. I've had experiences of eating a pretty cake and it bring terrible. Erin's cakes are the opposite of that! Not only are her cakes visually stunning but they taste amazing! Our cake was fresh, moist, and full of flavor. She came up with a fabulous design for our cake I would have never thought of, and it was more beautiful than I imagined. Highly recommend! Don't be afraid of the cost, you definitely get what you pay for so you won't regret it. My only regret is not ordering an anniversary cake on our one year.

Paige at Bella e Dolce in Cheboygan, was the absolute best to work with. I showed her photos as inspiration and she was able to create what I envisioned and made it better than expected. The cakes were crafted were not only delicious to taste but delightful to behold.

Erin at Bella e Dolce Cakes was absolutely amazing. She was very accommodating and we were blown away by how everything turned out. The cake matched my vision completely, down to the single red rose on top. Everyone loved the cake and desserts - so much so that there was none left and my wedding planner had to snag me some macarons! She even made an amazing cake for my father-in-law's birthday, which we surprised him with after dinner. He said it was perfect. Highly recommend!

Our wedding cake was amazing! The flavors and cake were so good. We can't wait to eat our saved tier on our 1st anniversary. Erin was wonderful to work with. Erin is incredible at what she does! Not only are the cakes beautiful but they are DELICIOUS! From the night we met at the tasting we knew she would be great to work with - she was even kind enough to let me take cake to try home to my (now) husband who was not able to make it. WOW! Our cake left us speechless. It was the most beautiful cake I've ever seen. My husband and I were in awe. And, it was super delicious and moist. We got SO many compliments from our guests. Our cake was phenomenal - and I don't even usually like cake! I was dreaming about it afterwards, and the masterpiece that she made was absolutely gorgeous and fit our wedding perfectly. Paige is superhuman. I knew she knew her $&!% the moment I met her, but I didn't know how on top of it she was until she posted on Instagram at the end of the year how many cakes she made and how many magical days she made happen and how little sleep that resulted in for her this year! I was extremely grateful to have booked with her and we hope to hire her back for our 1 year anniversary!

First of all, the wedding cake tasting was one of the most fun dates my husband and I have ever been on. Second, the cake was mindblowingly fantastic, both in appearance and taste. People came up to me all throughout the night to tell me what a fantastic cake we had, even people who weren't "cake people!" We were absolutely thrilled with their hard work and professionalism. Thrilled with how my cake came out! I told Paige what I wanted and sent pictures to piece together my idea. She took my desires and completely executed it! The decor of my cake was the most spot on out of my entire wedding, it also tasted delicious and everyone enjoyed it thoroughly. I highly recommend this bakery!

We were a little nervous on this one. We didn’t get a taste test so we just went with it. All 4 tiers tasted amazing and the cake turned out exactly how I wanted it to. We couldn’t be happier. This was amazing.

I cannot say enough - Paige is an artist! her work is SO clean and SO precise, not to mention her cakes are DELICIOUS. If you want attention to detail and professional execution look no farther. We were so impressed with every aspect of our cake. Did I say how good it was? Carrot cake with vanilla cream cheese frosting...I wish I had more right now!!

Bella E Dolce has a tried and true process to be your wedding cake baker. Their designs are gorgeous and they have trendy or traditional flavors. They will work with you to customize your cake and make it special. They have their tastings down. Most amazingly, they gave us a full refund when we had to unfortunately cancel our wedding due to COVID. They handled the situation with such grace that I would encourage anybody who is looking for an up north baker to use them because they are a stand up business.

They worked with me to blend three different themes of a cake-patient with me as we tweaked the overall designs. My children could not attend the tasting-industrial kitchen-but she sent me out with a sample plate to help finalize the cake and frosting. Never had to worry about the cake arriving the day of reception. They checked in with me and I never had to follow up.

We loved our entire experience with Bella e Dolce. In particular, it was super convenient for us living in SE Michigan to do our tasting at their SE Michigan location, which they then passed off to their Northern Michigan location to deliver to our wedding. What a delicious and BEAUTIFUL cake and spread of desserts. They executed perfectly on everything we requested and everything tasting amazing! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have a seamless and professional experience!

We had such a great experience with Bella e Dolce, from start to finish. We first met Paige at a wedding show on Mackinac Island, and fell in love with her cakes. Then we attended a tasting at her home, and had so much fun designing our wedding cake- from the cake, to the filling, to the decorations, and even the cake stand! When our wedding day finally came, the cake arrived exactly as expected. It was beautiful, absolutely delicious, and we got a TON of compliments on it. We highly recommend Bella e Dolce for all northern Michigan weddings! Paige and Kim were so wonderful to work with throughout the whole planning process. I showed them several photos of what I had in mind and they came up with two beautiful designs - a classic tiered wedding cake with florals and a nautical groom's cake lots of detail. Not only were the cakes gorgeous, our guests kept commenting on how it was the best wedding cake they've ever had! If you're planning a Mackinac Island wedding, you have to go with Bella e Dolce!

Their desserts and cakes are the best. The attention to detail was amazing. they used edible gold and edible glitter on our small desserts like macaroons which added such a nice touch. We had several compliments that it was the best cake people ever tried. We did a Birchtree cake with peeling bark that was painted with gold and looked awesome. Kim sperl is a sweetheart and so easy to work with. My only critique is that they forgot to decorate our cake with the greenery we requested, so our cake looked a bit underwhelming. (Apparently it was their job and not the florists job). I have no complaints about the desserts themselves however.

First, I want to thank Kim and Paige for making my wedding cake dreams come true! The cake they created really was a work of art. Not only did it look amazing, everyone commented how it was the best cake they have ever had! I found Bella e Dolce when I attended a wedding show on Mackinac Island. The cakes they had on display were like nothing I had ever seen (we're talking the stuff you see in wedding magazines) and when we tasted the samples, I was sold! Since I lived in Lansing and was planning a Mackinac Island wedding, most of the communication was through e-mail. However, we did get a chance to attend a tasting and it was a wonderful experience. We were able to sit down and really discuss designs, flavors, etc. When your husband can't stop talking about the salted caramel buttercream frosting, you know you’ve made the right choice! He even wants to get another small cake for our anniversary! If you have a chance to work with Bella e Dolce, take it!!!

My cake was simple, but gorgeous in it's simplicity. I hear it was delicious too; our night was too busy and our servers cleared our plates before we got to eat it! We got to try countless combinations at the tasting though (we did it in the Southern location) and it was amazing.

Bella E Dolce did the most amazing job on our wedding cake!! We were planning a destination wedding on Mackinac Island from Chicago. The Bella E Dolce staff were SO easy to work with since we were remote. We were able to have a tasting at their Walled Lake location when I was in town for my shower. Definitely do a cake tasting when you choose them as your cake vendor - it's so much fun!! We chose the Lemon Rosemary cake with Buttercream Raspberry frosting and lemon curd - it was beyond amazing and so unique!! All of our guests loved it - a real crowd pleaser!! Bella E Dolce is so easy to use for a Mackinac Island wedding. They are pros with the logistics including the delivery. Our cake came out better than we ever could have imagined and we received so many compliments from family and friends on the appearance and taste! We look forward for finding ways to use them again - maybe for birthday or anniversary cakes?! Not sure the event yet but we definitely know we want to have that cake again! Communication wasn’t the best, but wasn’t the worst either. They do offer elopement wedding cakes, but it’s difficult to just order a plain cake for that price. The cake was beautiful, although not exactly like I envisioned or provided a picture. For the price of the cake, I feel as though it shouldn’t have been at all dry, but it was...

We were married at the Black Lake Conference Center in Onaway and used Bella E Dolce for our wedding cake. We had originally wanted to do petites however the price of petites was not going to offset the cake cutting fee from our venue so we went with just a standard cake. We live closer to their Walled Lake location and were able to set up an appointment with Kim when she was downstate which was awesome to not have to travel up north to try our cakes. We ended up with an all vanilla cake - some with salted caramel filling and some with strawberry- all were amazing! We have our top tier to save as well. Their pricing is high for a cake but it is delicious! We wanted a look of a log for the cake and they were able to match our vision and they had a wood cake stand for us to use too.

We used Bella e Dolce for our wedding in August 2017 in Suttons Bay. I legitimately cannot recommend this vendor enough!!!! The cake was INSANELY amazing and all of the other beautiful desserts were spectacular as well. Kim and her team are incredibly professional, creative, and make absolutely fabulous cakes! I wish I could eat this cake every day. For real!

Cake was beautiful and tasted way better than it even looked which shocked me since the cakes I've tried at other weddings are usually dry. They brought our vision to life and even attached the flowers that the florist left for the cake. Cake tasting also was a Lot of fun Erin is very friendly and easy to work with. Thanks again guys!😆

I can't say that Bella e Dolce was anything special when it comes to customer service, but their cake delivered. Our cake was lovely, exactly what I described/pictured, and it tasted good. So that is the important and easy part. A couple of notes: We never got to taste the wedding cake prior to having it at our wedding due to a pretty lame misunderstanding. I asked for a tasting when I was going to be in the area, and they told me that they were going to be out of town, so it wasn't going to be an option. Coming from Texas, I was disappointed, but I understood. Then, when I visited the area for our tasting at the Inn at Stonecliffe, I did notice a woman who was sampling cakes at the front of the tent. We did arrive after the event began (I think there was some sort of exposition that we missed, and we arrived instead just for the tasting meal itself). The woman came up to our table and handed out a couple of slices of cake to some of the brides, but never came around to our side of the table. We didn't know what organization she was with, and we didn't know that she would be leaving almost immediately after that. I was disappointed to find out that it was in fact Bella e Dolce and that they had left before I was through tasting the entree options, so I wasn't able to taste the cake. As someone who works in a customer service environment, it seemed easy enough that Bella e Dolce would cross-reference their list of deposits (we had already paid) with Stonecliffe's list of attendees (we were even at assigned tables) to make sure they met every bride who had booked with them. One additional thing that I found strange was that their signature is a lady bug somewhere on the cake. I hate to be nit-picky, but that isn't disclosed anywhere that I can remember seeing it, and I would have much rather had it not there (it has photographed as a weird speck so far). Like I said, their cakes taste good and are pretty. That's what matters. I wouldn't recommend that someone not book with them. But my experience with them was very generic.

We had our wedding on Mackinac Island, and I am so happy we went with Bella e Dolce for our cake and cupcakes! They were very helpful throughout the planning process, as I chose flavors and quantities. The display of the cupcakes with a small cutting cake on top was beautiful. And, most importantly, everyone loved the cupcakes! We got to have five different flavors and our guests are still talking about how delicious they were! They were a huge hit, and also were beautifully decorated. Best of all, we got to take the leftovers with us to enjoy in our room after the wedding! Excellent service, and excellent cake and cupcakes!

You won't be disappointed with Bella e Dolce. They did our wedding and were nothing but professional with amazingly delicious cake! No joke! It was so good! On top of that, we are celebrating an anniversary and I asked if they could help me surprise my wife by meeting some of my impossible demands. I thought they'd have to say no, but I was wrong. Not only did both our wedding cake and groom's cake (which Paige helped me keep a complete surprise!) look AMAZING, but they tasted even better! Most amazing cake ever!!! Our cake was stunning, gorgeous and the taste? PERFECT! The little details I had made to surprise my groom were absolutely perfect! The price!?! You can't beat the price and the quality you get from her! She even had a small cake made in case anyone had a nut allergy! I love how much thought Erin puts into your wedding! I can't recommend her enough! Oh... and her tasting is the best one around! You actually get an idea of what your cake will taste like fresh!

Wow! Not only breathtakingly beautiful but absolutely yummy. Kim did a fantastic job bringing my daughter's vision to life. She created edible ribbons and pearls cascading down three tiers and the colors matched the decor perfectly. We planned the wedding from out-of-state and Kim made the process stress free. The flavors she offers are so unique and that is why my daughter chose Bella E Dolce. The cake was lemon-rosemary and and the filling was lemon curd and raspberry creme. I would highly recommend this bakery!

We loved our wedding cake! It was beautiful and tasted delicious. The price was actually right on par with everything else we looked at, but it tasted much better than many other cakes we tried. This cake was worth every penny. Our family members were fighting over the leftovers. We froze the top and are really looking forward to having it on our 1st anniversary. The tasting day was amazing. We couldn't believe how many delicious flavors and fillings we could choose from. They spent a lot of time assisting us with choosing flavors and working on a design. Kim and Paige always responded to my emails in a timely manner. My parents were worried about the cake traveling by ferry to Mackinac Island, but there were no issues. The cake looked perfect. I highly recommend Bella e Dolce.

Kim and Paige were wonderful to work with, and our cake turned out beautifully, exactly as we imagined. And both flavors we ordered were delicious! We weren't able to do a taste test but we were not disappointed. We spent more than we originally planned to on the cake but definitely got our money's worth. Our venue was on Mackinac Island a few miles from the ferry docks so it was great to have experts who knew how to get a whole cake over there!

Kim was wonderful! She was so easy to work with it was almost too easy. 😊 The cake itself was, well the title says it all...wow. The chai buttercream frosting was a huge hit even though people looked at me like I was crazy. We will go out of our way to get a cake for our anniversary from Kim.

This was some of the best cake I have ever had. Their truffles are amazing as well. The cakes looked so beautiful. They do incredible work and work with you to make everything custom. Our wedding cake was absolutely beautiful! We had a three-tier wedding cake with a cascade of various flowers down the side. The decorations and placement of the flowers was amazing, and the taste of the cake itself was to die for.

I can not find enough words to describe how much I loved the wedding cake. It just took my breath away with its ever so perfect elegance and fit into our theme so perfect. It was just stunning! I can’t decide what was better how it looked or how it tasted! It was just decadant! I almost didn’t want to save the top layer because I wanted to eat it! Just absolutely divine! I have always had event cakes made from very reputable pastry chef’s in my local area but I can say with 100% certainty that I have never tasted something so amazing EVER. The unique flavor combinations were amazing and very well received everyone just loved the cake and is still talking about it!

Our entire experience with Bella e Dolce was fabulous. Owner Kim Sperl was a pleasure to work with and was always prompt and friendly in her communications with us. My husband, parents and bridesmaid still are raving about the awesome experience we had during our tasting. We had the unique opportunity to try all cake flavors, icings, and fillings and were able to mix and match to find what we liked most. We ended up choosing a smaller, two-tiered cake and a variety of cake truffles (including some gluten free truffles for guests that are gluten intolerant) which were a huge hit with our guests. Our cake fit my vision perfectly and we couldn't have been happier with how it turned out. And, to top off our great experience, the cake was absolutely delicious. I couldn't have hoped for anything better.

Kim made me a beautiful cake for my Mackinac Island wedding! It looked just like the photo, arrived on time and in perfect condition. I would NEVER have guessed it traveled over on the ferry! The flavors were delicious as well. Everyone commented on how beautiful it looked!

We requested a non-traditional wedding cake...we wanted 5 and all 5 different flavors (vanilla/coconut, red velvet/cream cheese, chocolate/chocolate, carrot/ginger, confetti/vanilla)! Bella e Dolce was super about honoring our requests. My (now) husband is a sweet fanatic and the cakes I wanted nothing more than for him to be pleased with the cakes at our wedding. The crazy part is, we couldn't do any tastings because we live so far away! Everything was done via email and phone...talk about trust! We met with the crew in the shop two days before our wedding and could not have been happier with what they had planned. They saw our vision! It takes true professionals with a lot of experience to execute our idea with just a few conversations! Our guests were wow'ed and we were over the top thrilled with the outcome! Beautiful AND delicious! You can't ask for anything more!

We were not originally planning on using Bella e Dolce for our wedding cake vendor due to the cost. However, when my now husband and I brought our maid of honor and best man up north to try to cakes, it was obvious that we were not going to be able to find a cake that was as fantastic as the cakes at Bella e Dolce. As a person who loves cake for dessert, I would have been cutting myself short if I had not gotten one of their cakes. With that being said, everything about Bella e Dolce was amazing. We had been planning our wedding early and chosen our cake flavors a good year before the big day. Kim offered us a few months before the wedding to come back up for a second tasting so we could solidify the design and try the flavors one more time before deciding. Thank goodness she did, as we tweaked some of the flavors around. On the big day, the cake was gorgeous. It was everything that I would have wanted in a wedding cake and tasted fantastic. We got so many positive comments on the cake (many saying that it was one of the best tasting and gorgeous looking cakes that they have ever had). Since the wedding, we still continue to talk about how great the cake was. We have even considered starting to get one of Bella e Dolce cakes for every anniversary as a tradition to remember how great our wedding cake was. I would recommend them for any bride and groom in the area. If the cost seems to be high, it is completely worth it. It really does make a difference where you get your wedding cake from! Erin and Kim were able to make our dreams come true! From day one, we knew we wanted an elegant topsy turvy cake. After talking to Kim and Erin on the phone I wasn't really sure I explained myself correctly but after getting the sketches I knew they were in my head because everything was more than I had expected! We went with the carrot cake with orange ginger cream cheese icing and the chocolate with raspberry buttercream. Kim offered alternative ideas so that the cake wasn't super expensive and it still looked gorgeous! Next challenge I gave them was that I wanted to surprise my husband with a Game of Thrones grooms cake. He was particular to Castle Black. Kim and Erin were super excited to get working on the sketch for that! They did really well with keeping it a secret and went above and beyond. Erin watched every season over the summer so that she was well versed on what Castle Black and the Wall should look like. (Sorry for those of you who don't watch Game of Thrones and have no idea what I'm talking about.) He was very surprised and loved it! He also loved the Pumpkin cake with cream cheese icing.

Kim at Belle e Dolce can make miracles happen with confection! We did a less traditional cake and groom's cake by using the Bella e Dolce cake truffle balls formed into a 3 tier cake and a 2 tier groom's cake. Not only were the cake truffles dipped in white and dark chocolate and tasted like heaven, but the design of the cakes were so artistically beautiful. There was not one piece of truffle ball cake left at the end of the reception...

We heard about Bella e Dolce through our planner for our outdoor wedding in the Traverse City area! We didn't really have an idea of what we wanted, but Kim was amazing and helped us create a beautiful cake with amazing flavors! So happy we made the drive up to do the full tasting - Highly recommended! We chose two flavors, with butter cream combos; they were so good I snuck away during the reception with a piece of each! So Yummy!! Kim was very professional and even made a last minute extra cake so that we would have enough to feed all our guests! If you are have a wedding or event in Northern Michigan - use Bella e Dolce for your cake!
