Had a wonderful experience with Big Sky Barn and Walters! Not having to worry about anything was such a weight off our back and our coordinators were great! the day went seamless and it was beautiful. i still get compliments on how beautiful it was and how good the food was!

I fell in love with Big Sky years ago when a friend got married. I was excited to book the venue and it fit every wish I could imagine. However, the price was outrageous and the wedding coordinators were not ever easy to get ahold of or friendly. They worked with us but it was very fake.

We had a wonderful experience getting married at Big Sky Barn and would like to particularly acknowledge Hunter & Marissa. The venue is beautiful and our day went super smoothly - frankly better than we imagined. If there were any issues, we certainly weren’t aware! I was initially a little nervous about having to use in-house catering etc, but honestly SO glad we used a good number of in house vendors. Every team was professional, delivered exactly as promised, and provided a great experience while lowering the stress levels of planning a wedding. We have zero regrets at this point (pretty much just awaiting our photos, which I have no worries about based on our engagement photos) and we would choose this over and over. Like I mentioned above, Hunter and Marissa were amazing, wonderful to work with, and we can’t say enough good things.

My Fiancé and I came to the Big Sky Barn to take a tour, and all I have to say is WOW!!!! This place is beautiful inside and OUT! This place just became the top of our list!! Brittney Sunday, Ya'll need to give her a raise or amazing month vacation or something because she was the Nicest, most professional woman I have ever dealt with at a wedding venue! Gave us so much information, had an answer for every question we asked. Just went above and beyond for us!! Big Sky Barn, you have truly out done yourself!!!

Very pleased overall with our decision to go with Walter wedding estates and have our ceremony and reception at big sky barn. Our coordinator, Hunter, did a fantastic job working with us along the way to understand what we were looking for, taking detailed notes so that the day could run smoothly. Very helpful and professional! We got one of the packages that included catering and such, which made it really easy to knock out the bigger items. Only reason for the 4 instead of 5-star review is that the food could have been better. We weren’t able to try the food via one of the showcases, so we just went with a basic chicken, but unfortunately that and the honey butter chicken biscuit late night snack were super dry. The cake made up for it because it absolutely amazing, Jenny Layne bakery did such a good job!

Karli and Andrea, our Wedding Planners, helped us arrange it ALL! We really wanted a "turn-key" wedding experience - not really interested in endless trips to Michael's, silk flowers and a hot glue 3rd-degree burn! They listened! They helped to assemble the PERFECT team of wedding vendors for us! From whimsical flowers to the ultimate playlist, buffet or plated dinners, cakes, treats, photography, invitations, limos and any special requests we could dream up, she arranged it all! We wanted baristas at the reception for espresso drinks for our guests -- done! The venue itself is a DREAM!!! It's a perfect blend of rustic elegance: beautiful wood finishes, large stone fireplace and glittery chandeliers! We were smitten with it as soon as we walked in! The chapel is adjacent to the barn, with polished wood seating and a cathedral-style picture window that makes you feel like you are taking your vows in the woods, except without the Texas heat, humidity and mercurial weather... The suites are thoughtfully appointed. The groomsmen can lounge in leather and dark wood, sipping a cocktail ahead of the ceremony. The bridesmaids have an airy, elegant space with lots of vanity mirrors and posh seating. They can chat and sip Champagne before it's time to go in. Everything is thoughtfully planned to provide for the perfect wedding experience and photo opportunities. Thank you so much, Karli and Andrea! Our wedding day was EPIC!!! ❤️

She has made our venue booking process so stress-free by answering my many questions, giving me different quotes, and just being overall down to earth. The venue is beautiful and the day of our wedding went on without any issues. The company that now owns the venue is not well put together and does not give brides peace of mind while planning their wedding. We had 3 different planners within our 1 year engagement. The final planner we ended up was not the individual who was present on our wedding day. We had a different day of coordinator who was only present on the final meeting. If you are promised something or told anything, make sure to get it in writing or added to your contract so you do not have unexpected expenses. The food and drinks were wonderful except our guests were not allowed to get more than 1 serving, and if someone tried to go for seconds the buffet was already put away. The given start time of 12:00pm is not ideal for brides as hair and make usually requires brides and their bridesmaids to be there early the morning of the wedding. Because of this, it requires you to spend more money adding hours to the beginning of your wedding. Used utilized the DJ that came with the venue and he played most of the music we asked for.

At first I did not want a huge wedding but I was convinced to at least look at some venues to be absolutely sure. Once I arrived to Big Sky Barn I completely had a change in perspective. The venue alone can speak for itself. & the light fixtures & greenery sounding the venue are definitely what sold me. There were a lot of venues who did not actually take the time to listen to my questions or make sure I understood things clearly. Big Sky Barn and everyone that I have talked to has been nothing but welcoming and helpful. They were also honest and forward about pricing and packages from the start. I originally inquired about a sister venue, but the date we wanted was already booked so they gave me the alternative location that would accommodate to that date and I think it was the best thing that could have happened. They have taken the stress of planning a wedding completely off my shoulders and they are in constant communication reminding me of what the next steps are. Not to mention, I booked with them 5 months prior to our date, so personally I think that speaks highly in itself that they are organized enough to make that happen. Tara was a joy from the beginning & Anna has helped me so much over the past couple of months. I can contact her at any hour of the day and she's always right on it!! My wedding is set for early April of 2024 and I have no doubt that we are in good hands.

There are so many great qualities about this venue! First off, the venue itself is absolutely gorgeous. From the back porch, the double sided fireplace, all the lighted trees, the cute courtyard and of course the beautiful chapel and reception hall. There are so many places for guests to go out and explore during the reception. Second, the wedding coordinators and staff are so nice and care so much about making your wedding day exactly how you imagined and stress free. Olivia S. was our coordinator and she went above and beyond for us during the whole wedding planning process and our actual wedding day. It would not have gone as smooth without her! I was not stressed the day of our wedding at all because Olivia was handling everything. I cannot say how thankful and grateful we are for everyone at Big Sky Barn. If you are looking for a wedding venue this is the place to go!

Her bubbly personality, professionalism, and down to earth approach helped ease our minds about the whole wedding planning experience. Highly recommend her services! Andrea and Karli were our wedding planners/hosts. Our wedding planner was changed a few months before our big day, but they did a phenomenal job of picking up where we left off with the previous planner. They were responsive, professional and accommodating. Andrea did a great job of answering our questions and making sure that we were pleased with the final plans. Karli did a great job in running the show on our big day and keeping everything on schedule. She was willing to help set up some last minute things making sure they were to our liking. Our wedding at Big Sky Barn was more than we could have ever dreamed of! First of all the venue is absolutely stunning, everywhere you walk there is a beautiful view! It’s romantic, elegant, warm, and what classic winter wedding dreams are made of! On top of how beautiful the grounds are, the entire planning process and all-inclusive packages made everything so easy & fun - as wedding planning should be! Madison N. was our planning representative & main point of contact leading up to the big day. She answered all of our crazy questions & helped solidify our plans so we didn’t have to worry about a thing on wedding day! Jillian O. was our day of coordinator - we owe it all to her for all the compliments we got on how seamless the night went! We were so grateful to have her by our side through the day as everything was absolutely perfect! Our apps & dinner were delicious, the bartenders & drinks were outstanding, and our DJ (CoHost - Patrick) had everyone on the dance floor all night long, seriously the best DJ ever! Big Sky Barn was the perfect venue! I spent months looking for a classy/upscale barn for our wedding, and this was exactly what I was looking for, so we decided to make it a semi-destination wedding (5 hours.) Even better, the venue is located in the middle of a forest which made for beautiful photos (including the gazebo, bridge, and outdoor staircase.) The whole team was great - from our coordinator Beverly, to our DJ Alfredo, and also our bartender (I'm so sorry I forgot your name, but that means the drinks were amazing!) The food and drinks were delicious and the staff were all so welcoming and kept us on our timeline so we didn't miss anything important. We were even able to keep our pups with us all day, which made the day that much better.

We are getting married on October 20th of this year (a few weeks away from this post) & all I can say is that Walter’s has made this process as less stressful as possible coming from the Bride herself! Definitely worth the investment in partnering with this team. I don’t know what or where to start without them. We got married on 8.31.23 and I must say I couldn’t have done this without Anna. She not only made everything run smoothly the day of, the planning, ideas and complete execution was just on point. We had a snag with the DJ (outside vendor) running late and issues with the contract and designated area, but Anna reassured me and had back up after back up plans ready to go. Ceremony went flawlessly and had an amazing time with the reception and timeline. The venue is absolutely beautiful if you want the rustic chic look. It was very clean and well put together.

Where do l start?! Olivia, our venue coordinator, handled everything! She waited on hubby and l hand and feet, provided her cell phone and was available even after hours! From our first meeting, l knew l had the right venue and coordinator. The grounds are simply gorgeous and you love the bridal suite, chapel, back porch swing, ballroom, and all! This place is Houston’s nestled best venue for weddings. I wish l could spend the night there.

This venue is beyond beautiful! My fiance and I booked Big Sky as our first and only choice. We honestly didn't waste time looking and researching different venues and so happy we didnt. Future Brides and Grooms if you are planning a rustic wedding please book Big Sky Barn! The venue has so much character that you can do very little wedding decorations and still have a beautiful wedding. If you plan to book at Big Sky Barn I urge you to request Olivia as your coordinator. You will not be disappointed! I am a pretty organized person, but wedding planning is not for the weak. We were paired with Olivia as our day-of-coordinator and we instantly connected with her. Olivia is an amazing coordinator. Every time I reached out to her with a question she was quick to respond. She always kept us up to date with new enhancements that were up and coming with the venue. Her personality, professionalism, positivity and knowledge made every step of wedding planning that much more fun and enjoyable. She also made helpful recommendations that saved us money while planning. Thank you Olivia for being everything we needed in a coordinator and always placing your clients interest above all!

This venue is beyond beautiful. The moment we stepped in the chapel I knew it was where I wanted to get married. Our experience from beginning to end was just seemless and perfect. Laura was my planning coordinator and she did a superb job helping with planning. She was always there to answer my questions no matter how silly they were. She handed me over to Hunter to be my day of coordinator and he was a Rockstar. He is the day of coordinator of every bride's dreams. He immediately helped me put up my personal decorations and when I was unsure of where it should go he told me he would get it all set up and relax and go have a drink. He kept the wedding on schedule and everything went without a hitch and I had little to worry about. My wedding would not have turned out as amazing as it did had it not been for Laura C. and Hunter. Thank you, Big Sky Barn! I recommend this venue 20/10. My guests are STILL talking about how beautiful it was.

Where to start! Cheryl White! If you’re looking for a wedding coordinator and a person who has the widest spectrum of knowledge when it comes to your BIG day, she is IT! From the planning stages to the stroll down the aisle, she was available and proactive on making every moment perfect! Our particular event wasn’t without snags though, however she handled everything thrown at her with the utmost professionalism. Our DJ which we had hired through a third party didn’t arrive on time and was nowhere to be seen via communication means. Her actions to rectify this mishap were nothing short of spectacular, she had TWO DJs arrive just in time to fill the gap and keep the ball moving forward! Just speaking about her performance on our wedding day isn’t enough. She is without a doubt an amazing person, her personality and kindness was evident in everything she did. We had the best experience at big sky barn. Laura made sure everything was ready for our big day. Our coordinator was outstanding during the wedding making sure everything stayed on schedule. She kept everything in order and kept us part of all decisions that had to be made that day. I loved it so much I wish I could get married everyday. My hairdresser cancelled as soon as I walked into big sky barn and she was ready to get someone as a back up luckily my best friend is a hair dresser and everything worked out fabulously but she helped keep me calm and everything ran smooth. I can’t say enough about the venue and the staff.

Beautiful Venue. We enjoyed the all inclusive vendor packages offered by Walters wedding Estates. It makes planning less stressful. Annie and Valerie are amazing. Both women have been working with my fiancé and I in a timely manor and are super helpful. We really enjoyed the showcases held by Walters Wedding Estates. We got married at Big Sky Barn in January 2023. I knew this was my venue from the first time I found the website, and then the in person visit made my decision easy. I saw only one venue before this, and when my mom and I came here, we cancelled all other venue showings. Planning was easy, and the day itself went just about perfectly! Beverly was our day of coordinator, and she was both professional and personable and we literally could not have done this without her! She was so wonderful. The catering and bar service part of the package were excellent too (every staff/waiter was friendly and polite), as was our DJ. The facilities themselves are gorgeous - you don’t need much decoration when the place is this pretty! Our wedding ran so smooth and I would absolutely recommend Big Sky Barn to anyone looking for rustic elegance!
