The camera is an extension of my fascination with the charming nuances of this adventure, and the promise each day holds, ever romanticized by the sentiments of connection. With fifteen years of photography experience, I have enjoyed so many incredible moments behind the camera, sharing in wedding day excitement, laughing (and crying happy tears) with my couples, and can honestly say that my job is overwhelmingly rewarding, even at it's most challenging. The best part is learning how each individual shines and bringing that out in their imagery. I'll be there as a beacon of positivity, a shoulder, and an oasis of inspiration, helping you create your most magical day yet. Each story is unique, and I am honored to hear about yours. We booked a package that included an engagement session and a highlight film of the wedding day and would highly recommend you do the same – it is worth it! At the time of writing this review, we have just recently received our final wedding photos and highlight film. We are so in love with all of them! When we started planning our wedding, I was actually pretty nervous about the pictures part. I thought it was going to be awkward, but after we did our engagement session with Cassandra, I kept saying how excited I was for the wedding photography! She is so easy going and made my now-husband and I so comfortable. And she has such an eye for the shot! She had never done a session at the location we chose for our engagement photos, and she just saw the most beautiful shots on the fly! (all while being eaten to death by mosquitos!)
Flash forward to our wedding photos experience, we love our photos!! Every time we look at them, we love them even more than the time before. Cassandra captured our day sooo beautifully. And the video! Like I said, I’m so ecstatic that we chose the highlight film; it came out soo well, too. The day was such a blur, and Cassandra’s work really has allowed me to look back and remember all the little things and the big things. It was soo fun to see the happiness on everyone’s faces!! At this point we have shared the photos with our family, and they are so impressed too!
Since the day we did our engagement photos, I have been raving about her. I raved about her during the wedding day itself, and I continue to rave about her now! She is so organized, down to what times and who you want pictures with; but is so flexible when things change. The groom ended up being 2 hours late to the venue and she was able to get individual photos of him and was able to squeeze in the first look.

Well, Cassandra ABSOLUTELY knocked it out of the ballpark. She was incredibly easy to work with throughout the entire process, communicated promptly, and worked with us to customize the best package. On the wedding day, she was a pro at setting up specific shots as needed, blending into the background when appropriate, but still capturing the perfect candid moments and shots as they appeared.
After the wedding, she had all the photos ready for us within ONE week. And these photos were so much more breathtakingly beautiful than we could've imagined. We could not have been happier about choosing Cassandra, and have been recommending her to everyone we know.

I will always be ever so thankful that fate directed me to Blue Canoe and Cassandra. Was she a good photographer? Definitely. Was she thoughtful, kind, inventive, professional? Without a doubt. Yet she was more. Due to an accident I could not attend this small Justice of the Peace wedding for my daughter. A stranger, picked from the pages of the internet, stepped in and helped me provide for my daughter and her now husband, a memorable wedding day, with beautiful photos during snow and 4 degree temps, but also by helping me get in place other items to give them.
