Jean went above and beyond bravely weaving through the streets of downtown Chicago to help us get the most romantic photos on our wedding day. She really cares about her work! Nikolai and I made our families so stinking happy with this wedding. Thanks a billion!

Blue Llama Events made our dream wedding a reality! Having Jean and her team's help throughout the wedding planning process and on the day of our wedding was so amazing! Wedding planning can be stressful but Jean made things fun and gave such great recommendations for vendors! We were worried about being out of state for wedding planning, but Jean took care of everything for us and accommodated us by scheduling for zoom meetings and coordinating with all of our vendors. Our wedding turned out beyond what we had hoped thanks to Jean and Blue Llama! Would definitely recommend!

After the incredibly tough decision to postpone our wedding, we knew we needed help to plan our wedding and Jean was there every step of the way to ensure our wedding ran smoothly and according to plan. Immediately after we started working with Jean it felt like a weight was lifted off our shoulders as she put together a great itinerary and worked with all our vendors. On our wedding day, Jean and her team went above and beyond to make our day special- we couldn’t have done it without them! Rain came into play and her team picked up umbrellas for the bridal party and guests as well as making adjustments to ensure the rain didn’t rain on our parade. We had a wedding for which there was absolutely no guidebook... racist rehearsal dinner venue that we cancelled, a global pandemic, and our venue being listed on the market as two separate houses with nary a heads up about it. We hired Jean for "month-of" coordination and she absolutely went above and beyond. I would've been impressed anyway, but to deal with some of the crazy things we dealt with and not just lose her mind absolutely blew me away. I want to have a wedding again just so we can use Blue Llama. Her employee, Katie, who showed up to set up on the day of (at the nice dinner we had in lieu of an actual wedding) was amazing as well. I had no qualms about just giving her some things and telling her to go nuts because I knew we were in good hands. Worth every penny and more, hiiiiiiighly recommend.

My day would have never been close to the dream it was without Jean! She helped every idea and crazy thought I had to come to life. Including a snow machine in July. I can never come close to thanking Jean and her team enough for helping make my wedding as perfect as I ever could have hoped.

Jean is absolutely amazing. She helped coordinate the most beautiful Indian fusion wedding. We were able to enjoy our day because she made sure everything was perfect. Our day was EPIC and ELEGANT. She connected us to vendors that were all so good. She is extremely knowledgeable about Indian customs and incorporating this with my husband’s American traditions. Highly recommend!!

If you're looking for a day of coordinator for your wedding, Jean is THE best. We did a little shopping around for a coordinator earlier this year, one even told us that they wouldn't pick up the phone past 5pm. Then I spoke with Jean and I knew I was investing in someone who would be there for our planning process all year, even though we only requested "day of" help. She was great with dialing into any vendor calls we needed her on or even inviting us for a face to face meeting at her office downtown. She is very responsive and has a broad connection with Indy event vendors. This came in handy when several other vendors canceled on us this year - we didn't have to freak out and do another round of research when we no longer had a bus to take us to/from the hotel and church, Jean helped us find other options and let us pick what worked for us. Jean is also so helpful in keeping touch with vendors as the day gets close - we didn't have to do any of the 'heavy lifting' with contacting everyone and making sure the times they would be there, etc. Jean's also big on introducing herself to the family and bridal party at the rehearsal and making sure they have her contact info in case there are problems. Honestly, I have no idea if there ever was a problem - everything went off without a hitch and I'll certainly credit a lot of that to Jean. Lastly, I am so not one for a "wedding vision" - I kind of knew what my husband and I were looking for in terms of decor but honestly I ended up buying a bunch of different candles and my mom made a lot of signs. Jean and her team did an AMAZING job with setting it all up. I didn't know what I wanted it to look like, but the reception hall was beautiful when all was said and done. Indy brides and grooms, if you're looking for a great day of coordinator, you found her. Couldn't be happier with our choice to hire Jean and her team.

We definitely made the right decision by working with Jean and Blue Llama Events for our wedding! Jean is creative, responsive, level headed, and strategic. Her coordinator, Katie, helped us on the day-of, and she kept our unusual event from becoming stressful. We had originally planned a December 2020 wedding, and like so many couples, the pandemic created too much uncertainty to move forward. In June, my fiance and I decided to elope in our backyard - with 20 days notice. Jean and her team stepped up without hesitating. She kept us on track, helped us think through these strange scenarios, and made the whole day so special and stress-free. We look forward to working with her on our post-pandemic party plan!

If you are questioning if you should hire a planner and/or are looking for a wedding planner, look no further than Jean and the Blue Llama team. From our first phone conversation, we knew Jean was the right fit for our unique wedding day and hired her as a month of coordinator. Best decision ever. From helping us with our initial planning conversations and giving countless vendor recommendations, Jean had our backs from the very beginning. Being from out of town, we depended on her for a lot leading up to the day - last minute floral arrangements, signage pickups, printing and more.  But what really separates her from the pack was how she helped make our dream wedding a reality when everything felt like it was falling apart. She was always quick to communicate, problem-solve, brainstorm and see everything through to every little final detail all the way to the very end. She was on our team - just as excited and committed to making the day perfect as we were. Her work didn't go unnoticed as both my dad and my sister called out Jean by name to thank her in their wedding toasts because she truly made it all possible. My only regret is not hiring her beyond the month, and also not living in the same town so we could grab coffee or pisco sours. Hire Jean. She's the real deal.

Jean is awesome! I hired Blue Llama to set up / tear down decorations on my wedding day (think: centerpieces, memorial table, etc.) and also used some of their decorations including table numbers, a cake stand, and floating candles for my centerpieces. Jean put all of my centerpieces together beautifully, and even cut flowers and eucalyptus for the bud vases! It saved me so much money as I didn't need to hire a florist, but more than that it saved me from so much stress! I didn't have to worry about a thing. Thanks, Jean!!

I absolutely loved working with Jean for our wedding day! I was initially hesitant to hire a wedding coordinator due to our budget, but she was BEYOND worth it and I can’t imagine pulling the day off without her. She was quick with communication and coordination between me and the wedding venue – which had been a HUGE struggle before working with Jean. She always kept my wishes as a top priority and truly had my back throughout the months that we worked together. Even on the wedding day she was the one person that kept me sane and relaxed! I could not be more thankful to have had Jean as a part of our big day!

These ladies are naturals at wedding planning. My wedding was 3 days of multi cultural events and Indian weddings are notorious for running behind schedule. I didn't know it could go so well but these ladies pulled it off. My family and me had so many compliments on how beautiful and organized and how smoothly everything went, and on time too!! They are naturals at wedding planning and execution and I although I was hesitant on spending the money, I am so thankful that I did- my expectations were far surpassed.

Jean Rivers is simply the best! My husband and I planned a two day wedding...A Hindu Ceremony and a traditional American wedding. I didn’t even know where to begin. We hired Jean as she had previous experience with Hindu weddings. This was the best decision we made! She took care of EVERYTHING!!! She kept us on schedule as far as vendors and also made appointments for us to meet vendors so we could make the best decisions for our big day. She met with us whenever we needed and took care of everything on our big days! If you don’t want a stressful wedding experience then you need to hire Jean! It will be the best decision you make!!

Blue Llama just did our wedding a couple weeks ago and they were so great. Jean was awesome to work with, she just took care of everything and it turned out perfectly. I really appreciated that she contacted the coordinator at the venue to discuss questions and capabilities of the place so that I didn't have to be the middle man. That was a HUGE help. And the decor turned out beautifully. The room our reception was in has colors i wasn't super fond of, but when Jean was done the room looked completely different and her use of up lighting and drapes really transformed the place. I have absolutely no complaints; it was all just beautiful. I would recommend this place to anyone!!

Jean and her team were beyond amazing!! They went above and beyond their roles! From the moment we met with Jean, she was so organized and on top of everything, I knew hiring her was the right choice! For our reception, we had a lot of small details to be executed and her team set it up exactly as I envisioned. Jean was the go to for the night, my right hand woman, to guide us through the order of events. Right after our ceremony, we realized we forgot to bring the sparklers for our sparkler exit, I was devastated, and literally minutes later Jean said "don't worry about it, we have it taken care of", no joke, within an hour her team found an open store on a Sunday, got long sparklers and had them put in the sparkler jar in time for sparkler sendoff. That meant the world to us since that's the one moment we were beyond excited for! Her and her team were lifesavers!! She stayed until the very end, cleaning everything up and packing it all into my family's vehicles. We were blown away by how efficient she was! Such a pro! We will definitely recommend her to engaged friends! A day of coordinator is definitely worth every penny, especially if it's Blue Llama Events! We highly recommend having "the dream team" work together, photographer(Dauss Miller), Videograher (Vibe Productions), DJ (Track Seven-Joel), and Blue Llama Events (Jean), they worked seamlessly together!

We were originally going to have our wedding at our house and Jean came out and we instantly knew we wanted her to help with planning. She was very organized and very proactive. She always went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. We ended up having it at a country club and she went with me to meet with them and florists. I trusted her opinion on everything. She keep us on schedule and she was always calm and everyone loved her. The day of our wedding came and she handled everything. We never had to worry about a thing other than enjoying our beautiful day. We would recommend Jean if you want a beautiful wedding! She is so genuine and we actually gained an amazing friend during the process.

Jean and her company Blue Llama Events were worth every penny as our wedding coordinator. I cannot overstate the value in having somebody take so much stress off your shoulders leading up to and including the day of your wedding. We did our wedding at home in our backyard, so we just really needed someone the day of to ensure that everything went smoothly and the rentals were all packed up and ready to go back at the end of the night. Jean and her team did that and more. She clearly cares about the weddings she does, and always answers quickly and is also proactive in reaching out to make sure all is going well. I worked with Jean for over a year planning our wedding. I didn't know what to do at first, I just knew I wanted it done right. She always made time for me, was so helpful with recommendations, helping me read through contracts, negotiating. I trusted her with everything and it all better than I could have imagined. I hired Jean on as a same day coordinator originally just to help set up decor on my wedding day. But she became so much more than that!! Jean did such a great job keeping me organized and bringing the whole day together! She was always prompt in answering texts/emails and no task seemed too difficult for her! She was so great to work with the month before as well and helped de-stress so much! Between her helping with decor set up and allowing me to use some of her decor, she actually helped save me a lot on extra charges. Her cost is so reasonable the value is beyond what I could have imagined! I cannot say enough great things about my experience. She was always willing to go the extra mile with the vision I was going for and making sure the vendors were all on the same page. I HIGHLY recommend Blue Llama Events for any type of planning you may need!! Excellent service!!

Jean was so helpful in planning and coordinating our day for us. She took all the stress away from me and my mom and gave my husband and I a beautifully decorated reception area.

If I could give Jean and Blue Llama Events 10 stars out of 5, I would. She works INCREDIBLY hard to make sure everything is perfect for your event. She responds promptly and politely (always), and her prices are more than reasonable. She is amazing, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else to do your event other than her!

Blue Llama rocks! We used their services for the bridal shower and the groom's party as well as the wedding - all inclusive package and it wowed every crowd and every invited guest at each. Jean Rivers "gets it" - she is vogue and cool and gave us a very fair price - not to mention one of a kind events for each! She even helped us pick out the bridal gifts because most of the wedding party is in the military and flew in for the event. We can't wait to use Blue Llama for the baby shower - :)! Life is great thanks to Blue Llama starting us off with a fun and one of a kind event. Worth every penny!
