My new wedding date is May 29, 2021 and on February 18th of this year ( few months before my wedding) I get an email from Heather saying that a family member of my stylist is now getting married that day so they had to cancel me. They've had my deposit since 2019. Its a few months from my wedding and I am now left scrambling to find new people. This is not a good way to do business. It is clear clients do not come first, and they will not think twice about dropping you if something else comes up. I clearly was not at all a priority and as a bride that is extremely hurtful and frustrating. Rescheduling everything has already been a hassle and this just added to it. I would not recommend them at all because I wouldn't wish this frustration on any bride! Look elsewhere and save yourself the hassle for your big day. I had also heard rumors of this kind of stuff before regarding this same business and I ignored them. I even emailed Heather in 2019 before I booked and I explained what I had heard and she assured me that the same situation wouldn't happen to me on my day. Here I am stuck in the same situation she assured me wouldn't happen! Trust your gut and trust reviews! Don't be fooled like I was.

Finally, on my big day, she was an absolute no show. Thank goodness I had already heard about her lack of accountability based on several Facebook reviews (I had already placed a hefty down payment for her services prior to finding this information out about her), and a back up plan was developed less than 3 weeks before the wedding. I had 2 different ladies, each whom have worked directly with Heather, come to my rescue out of the kindness of their hearts. They made my day by being there, which is much more than Heather did. I still have yet to hear anything out of her, and based on her previous history- she’s probably scamming other poor brides to be as I write this. DO NOT BOOK WITH HER. YOU WILL NOT HAVE A MAKEUP ARTIST ON YOUR BIG DAY. You would stand more of a chance of being struck by lightening than her actually follow through on a contract.

My only complaint is having to pay the full price of the bridal makeup and hair for the trial as well, which I did not expect. A trial is definitely needed for your wedding day.

nts about their skills. However, I do have two concerns to bring up. Firstly, I felt overcharged for "airbrush foundation" services when airbrushes were not used at the trial nor the wedding day. Especially when I was told in person that airbrush was going to be used on the day of the wedding. Air brush was not used which did not meet my expectation since it's advertised ("A custom makeup application including 20+ hour wear airbrush foundation and false lashes."). Secondly, BMSHL Beauty charged me taxes for the their services. According to PA tax laws, the services that BMSHL Beauty provides are not subject to a 6% sales tax. Thus, it is unethical for BMSHL Beauty to charge their clients taxes. After bringing up this issue to Heather, I received a full refund for the tax portion of my bill. Overall, I highly recommend BMSHL Beauty and the services that they provide because they truly are talented.
