Bread and Butter were the absolute best band for our wedding!! We had a trio of strings for the ceremony and cocktail hour and a 7 piece band for the reception.
The strings were beautiful and their playing of Shania Twain and Vampire Weekend as our processional and recessional songs were a weekend highlight. So many people have reached out after the fact to tell us how beautiful the strings were and how special it made the night.
The 7 piece band brought so much energy all night and played all of our favorite songs!! The guests loved them so much they cheered for an encore, and they delivered!!!
I can’t recommend them enough and will be telling everyone I know to book them for their events. Thank you for a super fun night!!

I hired the Bread & Butter band for my daughter’s wedding. They were AMAZING! They were very professional. Showed up early and set up quickly. They communicated with me the wedding planner and the venue well. They have an awesome sound and we danced for 4 hrs straight. I would definitely hire them again!

hen full, big band performance after dinner. Everyone danced and they took a few requests from my groom’s parents. The musicians? Amazing. The band owner? Phenomenal, and he stepped in to make things right when we had an issue (that I will explain). The only reason this isn’t a 5-star review is because of a major communication issue with the band’s coordinator from 30 days before the wedding until 10 days before the wedding. She did a great job from 9 months before the wedding (when I signed the contract) until about three months before the wedding (when I sent back a revised song list). Then, 30 days before the wedding, me and my wedding coordinator did our regular contacts to all our vendors (me with one question about final payment; her with scheduling the final details call). We each reached out repeatedly over the next week until 13 days before the wedding, at which point we had left voicemails and emails but heard nothing back. My coordinator and I began talking about emergency entertainment backup plans, and I contacted the band’s owner on LinkedIn to see if he could help fix this. He contacted us and we almost immediately heard back from the band coordinator, but then she went radio silent again for three more days (10 days before the wedding). At this point, my fiance texted the band’s owner to explain that we still had a communication problem and to please fix this issue. Communication was simple and quick after this, and we didn’t have any further issues. Based on all the reviews, this seems to be an outlier experience, and the band really was phenomenal. So while I hate to ruin their 5-star streak, this issue did make us extremely nervous that we couldn’t so much as get a returned phone call from the coordinator less than two weeks before the wedding.

a questionnaire for us to fill out any special requests and specific songs that we wanted them to play (or not play). The day before the wedding, we decided to include some traditional New Orleans music and they were so accommodating, even with a very last minute request. I believe there may have been some initial confusion about a microphone for our officiant, but they remedied that so quickly that I never knew it happened until well after the fact. They perfectly spaced out all of their breaks so that they could cover our entire cocktail hour and reception. Even when they played recorded music during the band breaks, it was always fun and upbeat. When the band played live, they sounded great and kept the energy level way up! Everyone absolutely loved them!!

r the reception. Our original band had to cancel with less than two months notice before our wedding day. THANKFULLY Bread and Butter was available and extremely accommodating with such short notice. The band was beyond professional and communicated very easily and effectively to make sure our wedding celebration would be the most special. My wife and I wanted a night where everyone was on the feet dancing the night away and B&B delivered exactly that! If you want an incredibly talented group of musicians to get the party started and keep the energy high, then book break and Butter for your wedding!!

in the wedding. Always a quick response time from the booking manager. Our guests kept asking who our band was the entire night! They have such a wide range of songs and played a mix of old & new, as we had asked them to. They really helped the "flow" of the night go perfectly and were aware of when to slow the music down or amp it up! The dance floor was packed the whole night, and even overflowed into the other wedding spaces! We cannot say enough good things about Bread & Butter Band. They played every song I wanted and to hear their acoustic set as I was walking down on the beach to meet my groom made me cry happy tears! Our 1st dance began with my husband singing lead and playing rhythm guitar with the band. Alex and the band not only welcomed this but enjoyed it! Alex has been running his company for many years and is very professional, responsive to emails, and a blast to work with.
The band plays a variety of genres and works with the crowd. We had a few guest that hadn't been impressed by wedding bands until they heard Bread and Butter! The guest were in love music and didn't leave the dance floor. We HIGHLY recommend Bread and Butter!
