My dog ate my wedding dress... Summation: 1) Great selection 2) Affordable 3) FREE alterations for wedding gowns 4) Great Customer Service 5)The Dog ate my dress but Lori Saved the day! 6)Discounts for floor samples (all were in great condition) I stumbled into this shop after 2 months of dead ends at snooty, over-priced, unprofessional bridal shops in the LA area. I must have tried on 50 dresses. Dresses that did not fit my theme and were pushed on me by a salesman that could not care less about the dress that I wanted. Instead they only cared to push the dress that made them the most money. Some places even charged me a try on fee! Then I found Bridal and Special Times... I met Lori, the shop owner, on a mid-week day. Because I happened to be the only one at the shop, she was able to spend quite a bit of time with me to pull dresses. She understood immediately what type of dress that I was looking for. I was having a 1920's garden theme wedding and needed a lacy, simple gown to complement the roaring 20's that was AFFORDABLE. Every other store I visited could not have cared less about my theme. Lori got it and I found the perfect dresses at her shop. I purchased my dress and was surprised to learn that she offered a payment program which I took advantage (Wedding expenses get a bit CRAZY! ) I also took advantage of purchasing a floor sample for a significant discount. it was in perfect condition as I think I was probably the first to try it on. A few months passed during which I met with Lori several times to discuss alterations to add a 1920's flare. She never required an appointment. Sometimes she was not busy and could spend some extra time with me and sometimes she was SLAMMED with customers, especially on a Saturday... during wedding season. Understanding that I am not the ONLY bride, I always respected her time and waited patiently my turn. I had all my final alterations complete which she offers for FREE which included hemming, taking in, letting out and adjusting the straps/ sleeves and adding a bustle. All other stores charge almost as much as the dress for these adjustments. All was looking good and the wedding was just around the corner... THEN... 3 weeks before my wedding, the unthinkable happened... MY DOG ATE MY WEDDING DRESS! I couldn't believe it. My Dachshund, Scooter, literally ate my dress. The dress was shredded. A large hole was chewed through the center, all the beads were ripped off, and it was covered in blood from the crystals cutting her gums! It was awful. I brought the dress to Lori the next morning and expected her to sell me a new dress but instead... she said, "This is no problem to fix". She ordered replacement lace from the manufacturer and expertly repaired the dress to the point that it looked brand new! I am so grateful that I found Bridal and Special Times and that Lori was there to save my wedding dress! Thank you!

A huge thanks to Laurie for making my dream dress a reality! My dress needed extensive alterations and for every change we made to the dress -- she offered much needed guidance and was very patient as we made decisions. The quality of her work was outstanding and the dress turned out beautifully! Many, many, thanks to Laurie for making the most perfect wedding dress!

I was an out of town bride when I used this bridal shop. They were perfect until my last fitting and did not finish the alterations, despite having the dress for an extended period of time and knowing that I would be leaving by plane. Thankfully they worked around the clock to have it done and in my hands before my flight. Just a little stressful for me.

I bought my dress here, along with my shoes, veil and all other accessories, and I loved the service and quality of their work. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it!!! On my wedding day I felt like the most beautiful woman in the world and it's all thanks to Bridal and Special Times, making me a dress that was absolutely perfect for me.
