They had great communicating with us throughout the process and even with our guests all night. They personally spoke to each guest with allergies and informed them of the best options to accommodate them. They even went out of their way to buy a new salad dressing for a guest with allergies during the event and gave her her own personal bottle to keep at her table. My coordination team was going to take care of cake cutting and our nacho bar but the Buckboard team insisted on taking it off of their hands and took a huge load off of their plates. I got great feedback from everyone about the friendly bartenders and their flexibility with signature drinks and the other options!! I highly recommend you hire them for your next event! and made sure we knew what dishes were safe. She also made sure my mom received an onion free meal (we just found out she is allergic). She made sure me and my groom were fed and had drinks. She even held a napkin over my dress as I ate an hors d’oeuvre. We did the grazing table (gorgeous!), tray passes hor d’oeurves, buffet and a late night bite. It was reasonably priced for how much we received. She even boxed some up for us to take back to our hotel. The staff was all very kind and made sure everyone was well taken care of. I would rate this a 10 if I could!

It was clear from this initial interaction that she cared more about our experience and less about just becoming one of their customers. The food was/is absolutely delicious. Every single item was cooked perfectly, and it was clear from the initial tasting that their chefs and cooks take genuine pride in cooking high quality meals that do not come off as “mass produced” like a number of other caterers in the area. We have lost count of the number of guests who told us during and after the meal that it was by far the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding, and this is reflective of the company as a whole. Ashley and JP (the Chief Operating Officer) were both present during the planning process, and worked with us directly to determine a menu that would be both wonderful for the guests as well as within our budget. When dietary restrictions were presented, Ashley and her team made the accommodations easy and care free, and provided options that were also delicious. She and her staff were so friendly and professional on the day-of that a number of guests went out of their way to comment on the crew. We cannot rave enough about the services we received from Buckboard Catering. To make matters better they also operate a full-time restaurant in El Cajon, which we plan on frequenting regularly when visiting San Diego. For prospective couples planning a wedding, choosing Buckboard as your caterer will not only put your mind at ease knowing the quality of service you will be receiving, but you and your guests will be absolutely thrilled with the meal you get to enjoy.

hey worked with our unique vision (we wanted something on the more casual side, so we got sliders!) and made it perfect for our event. When we were trying food, we happened to mention that we were still looking for rentals, and they let us know that they could take care of all of our rental needs. At the end of the day, we can’t say enough how happy we were with Buckboard’s work!
