ment. Barbara came recommended to us and she helped with nearly every detail of the wedding. Being able to trust the wedding planner was important to us because we were in a completely different time zone from where the wedding was to occur. No ask was off limits – she met with vendors, kept us on schedule, and even let us ship décor items for the big day to her house! My married guy friends prepared me for several stressful months of planning and preparing for this wedding with an over stressed better half but with Barbara’s help, it was honestly a smooth process. She saved us much anxiety and stress and her services were worth every penny!

We were so lucky to have her because our venue contact ended up quitting less than one month before our wedding day, and many details to our ceremony and reception were lost when they left. We were devastated and extremely nervous that our wedding wouldn't go well. Fortunately, Barbara had taken such detailed notes that we were able to inform our new venue contact about all of the finer details (seating arrangements, ceremony set set up, etc.) that had gone "missing" and ended up having the most AMAZING wedding day! When Barbara started as a coordinator 12 weeks out from the wedding date it felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. She coordinated the timeline and responsibilities with all our vendors, did a walk through with us at the wedding venue,...

I added on extra coverage for one of her assistants to gather all the personal items at the end of the night and put them in our hotel room, which I would 100% recommend; it allowed all our family to relax and enjoy the party instead of having to worry about a late-night responsibility. estions for tweaking things, and then on the day of took care of the operations so we could focus elsewhere. She went above and beyond to accommodate all of our asks, even some that I imagine aren't standard but whose little details made our wedding uniquely ours.
We particularly appreciated that due to some special circumstances (including us living in a different state than where Barbara and the wedding were) there were some things we couldn't plan for and would have to make calls on the day of. Barbara made decisions about the details on the day of, incorporating our vision without needing to ask us for guidance (we were busy with lots of other things!) and it's this sort of initiative that sets BWeddings apart from the rest.

ed her as our day-of-coordinator. Since then, she has been such an asset in working with our wedding vendors. Our vendors ranged in their experience working in the wedding industry. Some of our vendors required more hands-on support, which she provided. We had our original wedding scheduled for April 2020. As you can imagine with the pandemic, our plans were upended 4 weeks before the wedding date. Our wedding has been rescheduled 3 times now, and Barbara has been a phenomenal lifeline for my partner and me. She's been an advocate working with our venue, which hasn't been the most flexible in rescheduling. She has ensured that our vendors have our contracts rewritten for each postponement. She is a detail-orientated, communicative, and flexible planner. We are so excited to continue working with her for our final rescheduled wedding in January 2022.

Born and raised in Italy, my father ran his own interior design and furniture business and my mother had an unbridled passion for working with flowers. I grew up breathing design, colors, and all things beautiful.
A decade ago, I moved to Miami and had the wonderful experience of working with lots of South American culture and style. Living in Toronto, I was immersed in the North American style of celebrating love.
Now, I’m proud to call Chicago home :)
