I found a dress I absolutely loved at Carrie Karibo. It had the lace I wanted and a beautiful V-shaped back that was exactly what I was looking for. I bought the dress “off the rack” as I was informed it was no longer able to be ordered. This being the case, I would need it taken in as it was a bit too big. The first picture included shows the dress in its unaltered state.
The shop really made it seem like I had to use their in-house seamstress, and without knowing any better, I did. I was assured with her twenty years of experience that I was “in good hands.”
Throughout my appointments with the seamstress I brought up multiple concerns including how the dress was to be taken in, and her solution was to cut out a side panel which completely changed the shape of the back I loved. I also made it clear that I wanted a traditional bustle and was told that with this type of lace it was not possible. I was continuously told “this is how it has to be done.” At no point in time did I ever feel like I was being heard.
Less than a month before my wedding I went for my final appointment. The second and third pictures here show the horrendous bustle and how the delicate design of the back of the dress was now U-shaped and pulled in such a way that it looked like I was busting out of it. For context I had continuously lost weight from the first fitting. I felt like the dress I originally loved was ruined. But again “this is how it had to be done.” Needless to say I was devastated.
Luckily, I was able to find another seamstress who agreed to take a look at it last minute. When consulting with her, she said it seemed like a lot of shortcuts were taken and things really weren’t being done in the proper way. This new seamstress quickly ordered material to replace the removed side panels and the dress was taken in properly. The delicate design and shape of the back of the dress was restored! She even re-did the bustle to a more traditional design, exactly like I had originally wanted. The last picture shows the restored dress.
Long story short: explore your options and don’t feel pressured into using their in-house seamstress. I am extremely disappointed with the entire whole experience. I wasted over $600 in alterations here, and feel ripped off having had to go get everything redone elsewhere to fix my dress.
My consultant was Kat. This was my first of three appointments of the day and it was an amazing start and set the bar for all the other appointments of the day. Kat asked tons of questions but it was like talking to a friend about my vision and was respectful of what I was picturing as well as the budget. You can tell she really loves what she does and was dedicated to creating a moment for me and my guests. I highly recommend any bride check out Carrie Karibo when they are searching for the one. The dresses were gorgous and the staff were very attentive and kind. I had been shopping one previous time and it was not a great experience and Kat saved my whole mentality around wedding dress shopping.
There are no words that could describe how great my experience was with Carrie Karibo's from start to finish! The assistance while trying on dresses, to the alterations, it was all perfect. We did not receive that type of support from any of the other bridal boutique I went to.
We had an amazing experience with Carrie Karibo! I found my dream dress here, and my Mother-In-Law also found her dress for our wedding here as well. The staff were very friendly and made sure that we were taken care of. We were especially appreciative of the fact that they covered the appointment cancellation fee from another bridal salon when I knew that I had found my perfect dress here instead. Both my dress and my mother-in-law's dress held up the whole wedding day, and we felt like queens in them. I highly recommend trying Carrie Karibo for finding your dream dress, as well as your mothers's dresses too!
My consultant was Sherry and I thought she was very uninviting. From the moment we walked in it felt like we were a bother even though I had an appointment. She made a few comments we thought were very rude as well. My mom and one of my bridesmaids were looking at some of the dresses in the showroom and she was very rude towards them. I was a bride looking forward to this experience and was met with rude comments and passive aggression. We were ready to walk out at this point but we decided to stick through it because we wanted to make the best of the experience. The platform that I stood on to try one of the dresses was not stable and I tripped 3 times, Sherry didn’t even ask if I was okay. I told her what I was thinking I wanted in terms of a wedding dress and she told me to pick my own dress, I didn’t even know what to look for. I was choosing my own dresses, and I noticed that I was the ONLY bride being forced to do that. Everyone else’s consultant was choosing dresses for their bride. She lacked the typical encouragement and enthusiasm that you would expect from a bridal consultant. I felt like I was shortened the true bridal dress shopping experience. The message was LOUD AND CLEAR from Sherry at Carrie Karibo…”we do not want your kind shopping here.” It’s really unfortunate that we had to go through this and I would not recommend coming to this bridal shop.
Look no further and go to Carrie Karibo to find your dream dress! I had multiple appointments scheduled at various bridal salons but went to Carrie Karibo first and canceled all my other appointments. I truly felt heard by my consultant and was not pressured at all. It was super helpful getting to walk around the store and see and feel all the dresses to choose which ones to try on with helpful guidance from the staff based on my preferred style. When I found something that was almost my perfect dress, my consultant sensed my hesitation about a specific detail and allowed me to Facetime with the designer to customize the dress to be exactly what I wanted. My mom and MIL also found amazing dresses at Carrie Karibo and I highly recommend them for mother’s dresses! An added bonus is Jenny, the in-house seamstress, who did a flawless job with the alterations for all of our dresses!
We had a wonderful experience at Carrie Karibo! I showed a picture of a dress that I envisioned, and Susan grabbed dresses that were so similar to it that my wedding dress was the first one I tried on. When I went back to pick up my dress once it came in, Susan made sure she was there. Couldn't say enough about how much we loved it at Carrie Karibo and this special experience!
The service I had with Christine was amazing! She really helped me find the dress of my dreams and created a very safe and amazing dress shopping experience.
I cannot say enough good things about this bridal boutique! The staff are exceptional, and the dresses are STUNNING! Christine was absolutely incredible to work with. She understood exactly what I was looking for and what would look most flattering on me. I had worked with her the year previously when my mom was shopping for her wedding dress. Both times Christine was so kind and patient, and helped to make the experience so much fun. The rest of the staff were also incredible. The day after I purchased my dress, I immediately worried I rushed into a decision too fast, and went back to the store. They let me try on A LOT of dresses and were so understanding about my feelings of being overwhelmed. In the end, I kept the dress I had, and I'm so happy I did. It was absolutely PERFECT! Thank you so much, Christine, and the rest of the incredible staff!
I had a wonderful experience here trying on wedding dresses for the first time- I didn’t end up finding my dress here, but I had to give a shout out to Meredith for making the experience so great! She really took into consideration my budget and preferred style/designer, helped talk me through the ins and outs of trying on dresses, and made sure I was having fun and feeling confident along the way. Overall it was a great first appointment and I’d highly recommend Carrie Karibo!
The people at Carrie Karibo were so easy and nice to work with. I did not have a good idea of what I wanted and they helped me find the perfect dress. Jenny the seamstress was also wonderful and extremely affordable
The team at Carrie Karibo is amazing - super kind and enthusiastic with gorgeous gowns. I worked with Susan who walked around with me to get an idea of what I liked and after seeing a few that I'd picked out (but were definitely not the right ones), she went out an picked a few wild cards for me. I absolutely loved everything she brought back and ended up going with one of the ones she picked out for me! It was so nice to work with her - she knew what would look good on me better than I knew myself!
It was easy to get ahold of their seamstress (Jenny, who is amazing) and she did a great job with the alterations on my dress. Jenny made sure the dress was perfect, made a belt for me, and fixed things I didn't even realize needed adjusting. I love that Carrie Karibo has a seamstress they work with exclusively so there wasn't any need to shop around or worry about who would do the alterations.
Christine from Carrie Karibo went above and beyond to ensure that I had the best day. She made me feel like an absolute princess. She spent so much time trying to find the right dress with me and was EXTREMELY patient with me. The dress she suggested was the one I ended up with. When I went back the second time she wasn't working but she made sure Sherry knew the dress and all the details. I also worked with Sherry and a few other of the ladies, who were amazing. Everyone was so friendly from the minute I scheduled through purchasing. I will be bringing my mom and MIL back to find their dresses. 10000/10 recommend.
I found Carrie Karibo Bridal after researching a particular “All Who Wander” dress. They were very easy to work with and made sure I stayed within my budget. This was the only bridal shop I visited as I found my dress and bought it off their rack. They were knowledgeable and very welcoming to me and my bridal party.
My experience at Carrie Karibo Bridal was wonderful! We went on a weekday, when there were fewer appointments, and had the privilege to walk throughout the dress room and choose dresses to try on. Each fitting room has an area for guests to sit while the bride tries on dresses, so you don’t have to go into the show room or make the big decision in front of other groups. This makes it an intimate and special time to spend just with your group. Highly recommend Carrie Karibo!
This experience was so much fun! The place is beautiful, clean, and spacious. It is everything you would want in a wedding dress shopping experience. Plus, my dress was gorgeous and I got compliments all day!

I had a wonderful experience at Carrie Karibo! I had my mom, sister, and childhood babysitter with me, and I had already gone to another bridal salon to try on dresses on my own before going with a group. Christine was wonderful and really listened to what I was looking for and had picked the dress off of the rack that I ultimately decided on - and we all agreed was perfect. They were very accommodating with me living out of town (I grew up in Cincinnati but do not live there anymore) and holding onto my dress and veil until I could pick them up. My mom also purchased her dress here. I ended up with a dress that was under my budget and a stunning veil to go with it. I also recommend Jenny for alterations (separate business but same location) as she really helped with the finishing touches! Thank you!
The ladies at Carrie Karibou took such amazing care of me when I was shopping for my wedding dress. They listened to what I was looking for and found the perfect match. In addition, their selection can't be beat. After shopping at 4 other shops, I found my dream dress here.
Highly recommend Carrie Karibo! Wonderful experience with the boutique, the dress selection, the consultant and the overall process! Wonderful dresses and overall gorgeous boutique. The consultant, Courtney, was quickly able to understand the level of support my mom and I needed and matched her energy to mine. She even was conscious of my budget, letting me know if a dress I picked up was over budget, so I didn't try it on and fall in love with something over budget. She was incredibly helpful with picking out additional dresses that fit my style/budget once she started to see what I felt about certain gowns, and just so helpful overall. They also had a low pressure sales tactic, understanding a wedding dress is a huge purchase. They didn't give me any hassle about wanting to walk away and think on the decision - This ultimately made me more confident in my purchase since I just couldn't get that dress out of my head!
I absolutely loved shopping at Carrie’s boutique. I ended up going twice as I am a person who needs to process and think before making a large decision. Carrie and Sherri were so supportive and really made my experience perfect. I will ALWAYS recommend this bridal boutique to my friends!
I highly recommend Carrie Karibo Bridal. Carrie and her staff go above and beyond to insure the best experience for the bride (and her mother). Jenny, who does alterations for the boutique, is a true miracle worker. Staff are experienced and professional. The shop is beautiful and spacious - a calming environment for such a special decision.
I had the best experience at Carrie Karibo; my stylist Christine was knowledgeable about the designers they carried and paid such close attention to detail when I told her what I wanted.
I found the “YES” dress, and it was beyond what I could have imagined. This was such a wonderful experience, and I can’t express my excitement enough to wear my dress down the aisle on my wedding day.
If you want one-on-one service, the cleanest facility, and the most beautiful staff, look no further than Carrie Karibo Bridal and ask for Christine, she is incredible!
So, my service at Carrie Karribo was both good and not so good. I can’t say I ever felt totally welcomed at this bouquet however I did find my perfect dress. The boutique is absolutely beautiful and it has quite a bit of dresses. I Did feel that after I paid for my dress the “blissfulness” of the experience was over. Almost like they had my money and they were done with me. The second issue I had, my bridesmaids got their dresses from here and several of them had straps falling off or completely detached. We also didn’t feel quite welcomed while shopping in that day either. My final issue was with the steam stress.. she only accepts cash or check and I only found that out after i drove 45 minutes to the boutique. Thankfully I had my checkbook on hand. The boutique is beautiful but unfortunately that’s really all I can say about it.
I had the greatest time picking out my wedding dress! I had be very indecisive and the ladies I worked with helped pick dresses that were “me” and made the proceeds so easy and so fun! And the shop is just adorable!
Carrie Karibo was the first bridal salon I went to and the woman we worked with did not make it an enjoyable experience. She was so rude to us and rather than being helpful, let me loose to pick dresses for myself from the rack to try on. I did not purchase anything and found my dress an hour later at a nearby shop that was so friendly and inviting. Do not recommend!
This is an amazing bridal store. Carrie told my daughter what size to order and said it would fit perfectly without alterations. I was skeptical. The dress arrived and fit like a glove. This is an awesome shop.
Carrie Karibo has a great selection of gowns and I found that they were all at a very affordable price. My only complaint comes from the customer service we received there. I wish I could remember the name of the person who helped us, but the fact that I can’t even remember it just goes to show how uninterested and stand-offish the consultant was. When I would make comments about what I liked/disliked, she would have no comment. Overall, she seemed very uninterested and annoyed like she didn’t want to be there or she just did not want to be helping me. The next boutique I visited was the complete opposite, and my consultant really seemed like she cared and was passionate about helping me find the dress, so it really showed just how monotone and unexciting my visit to Carrie Karibo really was. Shopping for your wedding dress is a once in a lifetime thing, so I really believe the consultants should be upbeat and passionate about helping you, and unfortunately I just did not get that impression here.
Carrie and Christine were absolutely fantastic! They provide an individualized service like no other and will not stop until they are sure that you are 100% happy and stress free for your big day! Could not be more thankful for the team at Carrie Karibo Bridal for making me feel extra special and finding me my dream dress.
I bought my wedding dress back in the summer of 2018 and had an amazing experience. It was not overwhelming and I felt like they really listened to what I was looking for and ended up finding my dress. Recently my soon to be sister- in- law got engaged and immediately I recommended Carries, which is where she also said "yes" to the dress. The dresses and customer service there is UNMATCHED! I highly recommend to make finding your dream dress an enjoyable experience
I cannot recommend Carrie Karibo enough!! After a long weekend of dress shopping, I was expecting Carrie Karibo to be just like any other shop, but boy was I wrong! The store itself is clean and beautiful. The fact that they have totally individual dressing room (suites) was great- it felt like we were VIPs. Our consultant was AMAZING. I came in with a long list of likes and dislikes and it didn't shake her. She listened intently and never once said "this will be hard", she only said "Let's do it!" I felt cherished there- something I did not get from other stores. You truly get that boutique feel here - but honestly, without the crazy prices! I had tons of options in my budget. I originally left without buying anything but came back in an hour later because I couldn't get a dress out of my head and they didn't even bat an eye! They were just excited to see me back. I ended up saying YES to the dress here! EVERYONE NEEDS TO GO HERE!!!!
I had a great experience at CKB! With the help of associate Julie, I was able to find my dream wedding dress. Julie was kind, welcoming, and super helpful! And now I cannot imagine finding my wedding dress anywhere else. Highly recommend!

Carrie Karibo was my first stop in the Reading Bridal District, and I’m so thankful for that! They had so many gorgeous gowns within my budget and their staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Sherry was my consultant and she was absolutely amazing! She was so accommodating to myself, and my party. She helped me find the gorgeous gown of my dreams! My dress has been received and brought home, and I just can’t stop looking at it. If I had to do it all over again, there’s no doubt this salon would be my first, and only, stop in the bridal district !
Carrie Karibo Bridal is the place to shop for the modern bride!! After struggling to find a unique and modern dress at (many) other bridal stores, I was so thrilled to find Carrie’s boutique. It had such different styles, and all beautiful!! Carrie herself is the sweetest human and even came it to help me on her day off when I wanted a day to think over my decision before purchasing. She was able to help me see the whole picture—pulling bridesmaid dresses to match the wedding dress, customizing veils, and finding jewelry. She made sure to listen to me and my wants (not my opinionated family members 😊). The entire staff is kind, caring and so creative. Highly recommend this shop!
Alright, I want to start off by saying that when I walked in to Carrie Karibo Bridal Boutique, I did not even have an appointment, and I was not even planning on purchasing a gown. I had walked in after seeing a gown I was in love with on their Instagram stories, and saw that they were having a trunk show. Keep in mind, I went on one of the busiest days of the week, during one of the busiest months of the year, WITHOUT an appointment. This was my first time even going to a store to look at a gown, and I was nervous about the selection because I am a plus sized bride. All of that changed as soon as I walked through the door. Even though there were people there with appointments and it was clearly busy, Carrie herself walked through her store with me and hand picked out gowns that she thought would fit my shape and style. I ended up trying on a dress that was missing a couple of things that I was really hoping for, but was perfect other than that. She saw how excited I was about it and left the room for a moment. About a minute later, she came back with the perfect solution to what I was looking for, complete with jewelry and a veil, and at that moment I knew I had found my wedding gown. She treated me and my mom to a glass of champagne to celebrate and we felt like absolute royalty! I really loved how I did not feel any pressure to purchase a gown, and how the staff at CKB treated my mother and I the entire time we were there. Ultimately, if you are looking for a gorgeous, fun place to search for your wedding gown, I would look no further. After my experience at Carrie Karibo Bridal Boutique, I will be sending everyone I know her way. A special thank you to Carrie herself, for really going above and beyond to make this such an unforgettable experience!
I have been to Carrie Karibou twice, first as a friend for a bride getting married and second for my own wedding and both times were so lovely! Christine was so helpful, patient, and knowledgeable- I felt so comfortable and was excited through the whole process. I highly recommend going here for quality help- they really went over and beyond to help me figure out my perfect style!
From the moment I walked in I knew it was going to be a good experience. I had just come from a really frustrating appointment and decided to just relax and have fun. While we were waiting to meet my consultant, the owner offered us lavender infused steamed towels, which I thought was a nice touch! Sherry was so kind and helpful, she let me pick out dresses with my MOH and took them to the room. She laughed and talked with all of us like we were friends. Oh and I LOVED that they have private rooms! My friends and Sherry both knew that the final dress I tried on was the one (I was still thinking about another dress), so she had me come out into the main room and look in the big mirror. She put a beautiful veil on me and I instantly started ugly crying. My MOH and I were so excited we jumped the gun and I said yes to the dress before Sherry got to ask! I also really appreciated how excited the owner was for me and that she chatted with us. I truly had an amazing experience at Carrie Karibo and cannot wait for my dress to come in so I can try it on again!

Carrie Karibo was an amazing place to find a wedding dress! I was lucky enough to be placed with Morgan, who listened so well to what I was looking for and what I wanted. Every dress she picked out for me was just what I was looking for! Within just a few dresses, we found the one! We had such a good experience we even came back to find bridesmaids dresses, which was just as amazing of an experience.
This place is perfect. I loved every minute of my Carrie Karibo experience. I worked with Sherri and she was amazing, she made me feel comfortable and never pressured us in anyway. The store itself is so clean and bright and having a private fitting room was so special. We found my dress there, and then they helped us pick out the perfect bridesmaids dresses. And, Sherri picked out my mom's dress for the wedding in one try. Everyone looked stunning and I was so happy we had found Carrie Karibo after trying a few shops where the experience was a little disheartening. Loved, loved, loved it!
I had such an amazing experience getting my dress here!!!! Carrie really listened to what I wanted in a bridal gown and I literally went with the first dress I had EVER tried on. This was the easiest and most fun experience ever and I wish I could do it all over again. We also bought our bridesmaid dresses here and the MOG dress. I would highly recommend anyone to go here, not to mention the bridal salon is gorgeous!
Carrie Karibo was fantastic not just about looking for a dress and saying "yes" to the dress; they were fantastic about contacting a vendor in a hurry to get additional fabric for the alterations. The fabric had to come from Australia, and nerves here at home were on edge that it wouldn't come in on time. Carrie Karibo followed this to the end and reassured my frequent jitters that all was on schedule. It was! Thank you so much for being proactive and realizing that customer service doesn't end when the dress leaves the shop.
Carrie and her staff are nothing short of AMAZING! I worked with Carrie directly when choosing my gown and she was so knowledgable, kind and patient with me as I am someone who has a hard time making decisions! I made multiple trips to Carrie Karibo to make sure I chose the right accessories and the staff was so helpful always pulling my dress so I could try on the accessories with my gorgeous gown! I just picked up my dress & accessories and once again Carrie's staff knocked it out of the park! Also, the salon is absolutely beautiful. The fitting rooms are spacious and have huge windows that have a ton of natural light which is so helpful when trying on bridal gowns! I 100% recommend Carrie Karibo.
If you want an easy experience for your bridesmaid dresses, Carrie Karibo is the place to go! I only had 1 bridesmaid living in Cincinnati so I was pretty freaked out about organizing everyone (plus add in our 6 month wedding timeline). They helped me pick out a beautiful dress and keep on top of all the orders!
Do note that the bridesmaid dresses are definitely on the pricier side.
Overall would recommend them to everyone and anyone who wants someone else to take over the bridesmaid dresses while you focus on planning your wedding!
After looking for dresses with my best friend the year before, I KNEW I had to come to Carrie Karibo for my own dress. Sherry is so kind, helpful and patient, and really takes the time to help you find exactly what you want. The dresses are beautiful and great quality, but the people make it special. I can't recommend them enough!
TERRIBLE customer service. A total of three dresses were purchased from Carrie’s for my November wedding: Mother of the Bride, Bridesmaid, and Maid of Honor. These designer dresses totaled over $1000 dollars. My maid of honor’s Monique Lhuillier’s dress was flawed (the bust darts were too pointed and poked out way too far out to the point where store workers took pictures to show the designer in NY (giggling as they took these pictures)). My sister and I visited the store to seek help/get the dress fixed and we were treated like we were in the wrong. The workers at Carrie’s left us feeling anxious and unimportant. After going back and forth with the floor workers they actually stated “pointed, noticeable nipples are currently in right now,” and when we were unhappy with this comment they offered to switch the brand new dress for the sample one (which has been tried on by an unknown number of people and stretched out... the store workers insisted this was just like going to Nordstrom and buying a dress. IT IS NOT. The dress is for my MAID OF HONOR FOR MY WEDDING and not just for some random person.). Still not satisfied I asked to speak to the owner, Carrie, and was informed multiple times she was with a bride taking measurements and unable to speak to us about our problem. We left the store after thirty minutes extremely upset. We were told by Carrie to get the dress altered by someone they use BUT they would not guarantee that her services would fix the problem with the dress sold by their store. This store added unneeded stress to the bride/maid of honor and clearly customer service ceases to exist here after you spend your money.
On a brighter note we were comforted by another bridal salon who took the time to listen and offer possible solutions. This salon treated us like actual people instead of just brushing us off.
Carrie Karibo Bridal is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! We ended up at Carrie Karibo Bridal by chance and I am SO incredibly thankful we did. We originally had an appointment at another boutique but ended up giving it away due to the crowded and chaotic environment. Initially I was a little disappointed as I knew it would be hard to find availability as a walk-in on a busy Saturday (plus we had four adults and a baby in our group) but when we stopped in to Carrie Karibo Bridal, Carrie (the owner) did not even blink an eye and said ‘Of course we can take you!’. The boutique itself was stunning with a beautiful section for bridesmaids dresses in the front and then a private oasis for wedding dresses in the back. The oversized dressing rooms were perfect for me and my guests to relax and truly enjoy the experience. Sherry, my consultant, was wonderful. She explained all the different styles and showed me where they were located in the boutique (which was super helpful as it can be overwhelming to sift through hundreds of dresses!). Additionally, she made sure to point out specific designers that were within my price range. During the appointment, Carrie would occasionally pop in to see how things were going and even sat down to play with the baby - how SWEET is that?! The whole experience was absolutely magical - topped off by finding my dream dress and celebrating with champagne. I cannot thank Carrie, Sherry, and the staff at Carrie Karibo Bridal enough for making my day beyond perfect.
BEST BRIDAL EXPERIENCE EVER!! I had gone to a few other bridal stores in search of my perfect dress. I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted. other stores were trying to steer me away from my dream and would not listen to what i had to say. not the case at Carrie Karibo! From the time we walked in the staff was wonderful. you could tell they love their jobs. after pulling several dresses and pinning down exactly what I wanted my consultant pulled the most perfect dress and veil. she was so much fun to work with and fit right in with my crazy crew. could not ask for a better experience!
