n when they had the restaurant in Farmington, we knew they could put together a fantastic menu for us. We hired Chive for food, bar service, and month-of consult and weekend coordinator. Suzy and team helped create an incredible evening that we will never forget. After our first meeting with Suzy, we knew we were in good hands. As two guys who had never given a lot of thought to what our “dream” wedding would look like, she took our vague ideas and turned them into reality. We had a general idea of what type of venue we wanted, and her first suggestion was absolutely perfect. The bulk of the planning was left to us, but Suzy was always available to bounce ideas, provide advice, and steer us in the right direction. Suzy’s creative vision, intuition, and experience are unmatched. Everything from a unique room layout and schedule of events to small details with table decor and custom menu items were executed flawlessly. Her team handled all of the set-up and tear-down, leaving us to just enjoy the day with our families. The decor was so thoughtful, warm, and just beautiful - more than we could ever try to articulate. The curated vegan food, cocktails, and mocktails were absolutely delicious, and we received so many compliments from guests - even those who are leery of the “V” word. Bruschetta, buffalo bites, and fried artichoke appetizers were immediately devoured. Dinner was Caesar salad, braised cabbage, mashed potatoes, portobello steaks, and mostaccioli. All of it was so tasty (the BEST mushroom I’ve ever had) and we were reminded of all our wonderful dates at Chive Kitchen. We especially loved the custom cocktail themed after our chihuahua. And of course the cupcakes (pumpkin spice and chocolate) were a HUGE hit. Suzy was able to accommodate all of our guests' food allergies with ease. On top of everything else, it meant a lot to us to work with a woman owned small business and fervent LGBTQ+ ally. Working with Suzy and her team was a dream. They did all the heavy lifting and we were able to truly enjoy and soak up the incredible evening that was put together for us. Chive was responsible for the most important part of our wedding which was coming together with family and friends to share a delicious meal. We will cherish the memories forever. e—our wedding was even more beautiful than we could have imagined, and we have Chive to thank for that. Let’s start with the food. We wanted something special for our guests (and ourselves), and Suzy crafted a thoughtful, homemade menu that reflected our exact tastes. The mushroom and pea pasta, lemon chicken with squash, Caesar salad, grilled asparagus—everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. And the dessert spread was elegant and delicious: fruit, doughnuts, and the best chocolate banana cake I’ve ever had. She also created inventive and refreshing signature cocktails that were a big hit. The décor was just as impressive. Suzy helped us bring our gem-inspired color palette to life with rich greens, purples, and blues that created such a unique and elegant vibe. On the big day, she and her team did an amazing job with setup, smoothing out details, and making sure everything ran seamlessly. We truly couldn’t be happier. Thank you, Suzy and Chive, for helping make our wedding unforgettable!

s, I did not want on my wedding day to be dealing with the hassle of trying to negotiate safe foods that I do every other day. Every photo I'm attaching, from the chicken piccata to the guava cheezecakes, are dairy-free. I found Chive Kitchen when it was a brick-and-mortar storefront, I wish it still was, and got a taste of Chef Suzy's skill at adapting to dietary restrictions without sacrificing flavor or texture, especially with desserts. If you get the chance, please, try the chocolate beet cake, trust me. In addition to the wedding reception, Suzy catered the afternoon tea that was a part of my bachelorette party - everyone loved it, even my brothers who thought it was a bit silly at first, and she made it beautiful. She also brought with her catering trays that I'd ordered for the next day because we would be doing our "ceremony" over brunch with just immediate family. Another hit. The pimento cheeze spread was a particular favorite. I unfortunately don't have any pictures of those. For the wedding reception, Chive made lovely table settings (additional decor is DIY'd), passed hors d'oeuvres, set out a tea and coffee station, did a multicourse dinner, huge dessert platters, and a first-anniversary cake that was still pretty good a year later. In hindsight, I wish I had also booked Chive for wedding planning. Suzy and her team are professional, beyond competent, and dependable. I did my own planning and I am none of those things. Every other part of the wedding was a bit slapdash or difficult, but the food was, for once in my life, the thing I didn't have to worry about.

her catering at my wedding, and things fell into place from there. We opted for her month-of coordination and I cannot imagine making it happen without Suzy. She is incredibly organized, creative, flexible, professional, and communicative. She knows all the ins and outs of weddings and pre-smoothed all the snags before we even knew they existed. She absolutely went above and beyond—we were able to relax and enjoy our wedding while Suzy put out fires (figurative fires, which were not at all related to Suzy’s planning, and which I only found out about later, thank goodness). She absolutely made our vision come to life and we had the BEST wedding day and were able to sit back and enjoy it. From creating the most beautiful place settings, to writing out detailed ceremony flow and day-of schedules, to whipping up an absolutely killer s’mores bar, I am now convinced there is nothing Suzy cannot do.
