Mary did an absolutely amazing job with our wedding photos. We had the pleasure of first meeting Mary in March for our engagement photos. Mary made communication very easy and was quick to respond to emails. She had lots of great recommendations for places to get pictures for our engagement and our wedding. She was very accommodating to any changes that needed to be made and talked about plans for bad weather (Luckily, we had great weather for both). We had so much fun for our engagement shoot! Me and my husband are definitely not naturals when it comes to photo shoots, but Mary helped us relax and be ourselves. She made our experience feel very personalized and fun! Leading up to the big day, Mary stayed in touch and set up phone meetings to help plan our photography timeline for the day. The whole process was very smooth. We did not have a wedding planner, so it was great to have everything planned in advance. Mary (and second photographer, Kendall) did such an amazing job capturing our entire wedding day and taking absolutely beautiful wedding photos! Mary let the magic happen and captured so many beautiful candid photos in addition to our amazing portraits. We didn’t even realize Mary was capturing many of the ones that she did, but we are so glad we have them. She captured everything from getting ready, to the first look, ceremony, and reception. They also helped with any extra things (such as helping me bustle my dress) - such a blessing! We could not have asked for a better photographer to go with for our wedding. Mary truly knows how to capture your special moments!

Not only are our pictures amazing, but I had multiple friends/guests ask me who our photographer was because she was so much fun to be around all day. Mary with Chocolate Paper did an amazing job with both my engagement photos and my entire wedding day on 11/05/2022. Me and my husband were kind of clueless and awkward about posing but she made us look great and feel confident! Our original plans for photos fell through due to weather, so we had to improvise indoors with our venue and she captured some amazing shots in a space she had never been before, I was so happy and impressed with how they came out. Huge bonus was booking her husband, Chad with Perfect Day DJs as well. Them working together made my life much easier and it was so fun to have them both together on the day. Mary, and her assistant Stephanie, not only took great photos but kind of helped guide me through the day since I was the first of my friends and family to get married and no one really knew what we were doing (LOL). I booked Mary and Perfect Day DJs after seeing them in action at a friends wedding and was not disappointed. Highly highly recommend!

We would highly recommend Mary and Chocolate Paper Studios. Mary was very easy to work with and supportive throughout the entire wedding planning process. She even drove an hour to my grandparent's farm for our engagement photos. She was so flexible and kind on the wedding day, as well... even when I accidentally sprayed her with a bottle of champagne! Mary was the best photographer any bride or groom could ask for. She was so welcoming, helpful, and organized. She first took our engagement shoot, and the pictures turned out great. I had no idea where I wanted to go and she made suggestions. As for the day of the wedding, Mary was flexible to work with our schedule since we had some changes due to weather. She had a very calming presence during the change from Plan A to Plan B, which is the best thing any bride planning the wedding could have asked for. I cannot recommend her enough! If you want someone experienced, easy to work with, helpful, organized, goes above and beyond, and more, Mary/Chocolate Paper studios is it! It was also very helpful to have her husband (Perfect Day DJs) be a part of of our day as well. They both helped plan and work with our wedding day schedule.

This was the second wedding in my family where Mary was our photographer (with Pam as her assistant), and we can’t recommend her enough! First, she is so kind, fun, and supportive. She responded quickly to communication, and it was easy to feel comfortable posing in front of her. Our friends and family also enjoyed the nice preview and day-of posts on her social media pages. She was very open to our ideas and preferences in photos, and has tons of great and creative ideas of her own. Our engagement photos were stunning, and she did a great job corralling large family group shots at the wedding. Photography was an area that we felt stressed about, but from early communication, to timeline management, through all the details on the Big Day, Mary made the whole experience stress-free and fun!

Mary is exceptional. She is amazing at her craft and has an amazing teammate in her second shooter, Katie, who worked with us on our wedding. I cannot imagine ever going to another photographer for pictures. She did both our engagement and wedding photos and I think it’s safe to say she’ll be the first photographer on our list for any future needs. We love you, Mary!

I wish we could rate more than 5 stars. Mary was incredible every step of the way. My husband and I agree that we’re not the most natural couple in front of a camera, but you would never know it from the photos. Mary was able to provide us with easy to follow direction and had us looking perfect for both our engagement and wedding photos. She was quick to respond to any questions we had along the way, easy to coordinate with, and made our day as stress-free as possible. The photos turned out beautifully, and turned them around to us quicker than we expected.

I am so glad we found Mary and Chocolate Paper Studios through her husband's Perfect Day DJ's site! She was so responsive and let us look at past albums to get an idea of what to expect. She set up a Zoom call for us to meet and ask any and all questions we had. She did our engagement photos and she was so amazing. I wanted someone that would tell us how to pose, where to go next, etc. and she was perfect! She definitely knows what she's doing and knows where to get the best shot. She is also open to any ideas that you may have, so come with pictures! She was very responsive via email to any questions we had and made sure to have a final call the week of the wedding to make sure we had all of our shots figured out. She also has a form you fill out that goes over everything you could think of for pictures on your wedding day. During the wedding day, her and her second photographer were right on time and were amazing getting everything done. We have so many amazing pictures and a nice slideshow she set to music that we can always look at. We can't stop smiling when we look at the pictures and relive our day. Thanks so much Mary!!

Mary was amazing! She was always willing to provide ideas and suggestions for everything, even when it wasn't photography related. She was very easy to talk to and very quick to communicate with us every step of the way. No matter what curve ball our wedding planning threw at us, Mary was always positive and supportive. We were able to bring our new puppy to the engagement shoot and Mary got some amazing shots of both him and us! She was so helpful with everything wedding related! The minute we met Mary (Chocolate Paper Studios) and Chad (Perfect Day DJs) we knew we wanted them to be a part of our big day. They are both incredibly genuine, good people and we felt that we would be taken care of our entire engagement process up to our wedding day. It was a good thing, too, because our engagement ended up being a lot longer than originally planned. We needed to postpone our wedding TWO TIMES during the pandemic. Chad and Mary made us feel at ease through the chaos. They worked with us both times and somehow still made the planning fun even though we were under a lot of stress. Mary and Chad made sure everything ran smoothly the entire day. Our other vendors had great things to say about them as well which is another testament of how great of a job they do. She assured us she knew of spots in case it rained (our pictures were downtown Cincinnati). Mary and her assistant were fun and easy going; which was great energy to have as we were with them all day! Mary was able to work quickly and had our photos back to us in time for holiday cards. The pictures turned out beautifully and we also got a nice slideshow of the day. Chocolate Paper Studios and Perfect Day DJs also have a package deal if you book together. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND both of them! They are the best team and will make your day unforgettable.

Mary was AWESOME!! We had a blast at our engagement session when we hijacked some swans. At the wedding, I have a large family and she helped us to organize everyone to make sure I got all the photos that I wanted. She helped us pick the perfect spot for post-wedding photos and was flexible when we asked to visit my husband's grandma at her nursing home. She was so professional and helpful, not to mention her photos are stunning. She and Chad (Perfect Day DJs) are an unbeatable team!! 10/10 recommend!!

Mary and Emily were SO amazing! We had a backyard wedding and there was a delay with our tent setup crew, which set back the whole photography schedule. These two were so accommodating and relaxed with the situation. They made it work! They captured every moment and I could tell they honestly enjoyed being there! Mary was an amazing person to help make our special day even more precious! She was there for the beginning, pre Covid to help take the perfect engagement pictures, supported us along the way during two postponements and helped to celebrate our first wedding date on Facebook. And, most of all, she was there to document every beautiful moment of our big day. Covid, rain showers, and tired flower girls didn’t phase her, and she helped capture all the joy that we, our families and friends felt to finally have our big day. So lucky to have found her, and bonus, her husband runs an awesome DJ company called Perfect Day DJ’s that brought the party for our wedding too!

Chocolate Paper Studios was amazing from the beginning to end. When we first met, Mary was friendly and down to earth, which was one of the reasons that we decide to chose Chocolate Paper Studios as our wedding photographer. With the package we chose, we got a free engagement session. Mary made us feel comfortable throughout the session and was willing to even hike through the woods to an old train bridge to get some of the photos. We could not have been happier with how the photos turned out. Fast forward to the wedding and Mary continued to exceed our expectations. She called me a couple weeks before the wedding to review all of the details that we filled out in a questionnaire previously. She gave great recommendations for locations for both our engagement and wedding photos. Our wedding photos turned out amazing and we could not be happier. The turn around for the pictures was quick. We were able to order a wedding album that Mary put together and it turned out great. Our families also loved the photos and working with Mary. Mary was professional and a joy to work with. I cannot say enough good things about Chocolate Paper Studios.

Mary and her second phorographer Rachel were a PLEASURE to work with! We had a picture perfect wedding day and I have no doubt in my mind that they are a big part of that! With the rain that was predicted, Mary was super knowledgeable in suggesting adorable places for pictures outside that were covered. We stumbled upon Mary and Chocolate Paper Studios while meeting with her husband Chad for Perfect Day DJ services and we are so thankful that meeting occurred. Mary was so warm and friendly and made us both feel comfortable from the start. We were both nervous about the photography side of things as neither of us really feel comfortable in front of a camera. However, after just the first few minutes of the engagement photo session, we were having a blast. Mary made it all feel so natural and encouraged us to be ourselves and have fun with it. We were blown away when we received the pictures afterward. The angles and lighting were beautiful and some of the little details she focused on were just perfect. We were so excited to work with her again for the big day and she went above and beyond expectations. She and Tiffany, her second shooter, were such a pleasure to work with. They were organized and efficient while still being laid back, open to silly suggestions, and so much fun to work with. They felt like part of the family that day. I can not express in words just how AMAZING the wedding photos turned out...they are ABSOLUTELY STUNNING and looking through them is like reliving the best day of my life. I know I'll be contacting her again if we ever need a photographer.

Leading up to the wedding she was so helpful and willing to answer any questions that I had (and there were a lot of them!). Planning a wedding while in medical school and out of town made some things a little difficult, however, when I asked Mary for suggestions on vendors she was on top of it and had amazing suggestions! After Mary took our engagement pictures, we knew we had made the perfect choice. As a couple who is very camera shy, she made it feel natural and just encouraged us to have fun and enjoy the moment. At points during our engagement pictures and wedding we gave Mary free reign on pictures she wanted to take, and they have turned out absolutely gorgeous. She was also very knowledgeable of various locations for pictures, and we relied on her experience with absolutely stunning results. We loved her so much that I actually booked a family session with my family the day before the wedding! The day of the wedding Mary and Stephanie were just amazing, from making sure that my hair was out of my face, fluffing my dress, and making sure I was comfortable standing for long periods of times for pictures. They played a very vital part in making my day as perfect as it was. I would 100% recommend using Mary and her team for your big day, they did an amazing job and I can’t wait to use them again in the future! Also, if you are still looking for a DJ we suggest booking the package that includes DJ service from Perfect Day DJs! The chemistry and teamwork that Mary and Chad have is phenomenal!

Our wedding was May 20, 2017 and Mary (owner) was great to work with! She had no problem coordinating our large families and bridal parties to get the shots we wanted! Our photos are gorgeous! We got shots from before, during and after ceremony as well as at reception. Pictures are available online afterwards on a pretty convenient website for viewing, downloading or purchasing prints. We received a nice little box with a USB containing our own digital copy of those pictures, very thoughtful! Thank you Mary!

Mary is amazing!! We had such a perfect wedding day and her beautiful pictures will always have such a special place in my heart!
