on he really helped us relax and get us into position for the various shots. All of them turned out great and it felt like we were just talking to a good friend throughout the session. For the wedding photos because of how things worked out (our fault) he arrived to the venue at the same time as us since we were coming by boat and he was with us (we did the getting ready photos and everything across the lake). He quickly was able to adapt to the venue and began capturing moments with the ceremony starting right then. The photos turned out phenomenal. He captured different angles of us, some photos of our guests, and he framed the first kiss photo perfectly. Given we arrived by boat, we had someone move the boat after we disembarked. This was a public lake though, with other boats on the lake including one docked right behind us. I don't know how much of it was just Dan framing the shot perfectly or being a legitimate photoshop wizard, but all of that lake activity isn't in our first kiss photos like I had feared. Dan is a real life wizard of some sort. Dan also was extremely professional and patient while doing our family shots. We have a large family, and getting everyone to listen wasn't exactly easy but he expertly navigated through each shot and took care of us. Another thing I really appreciated about his photos is the coloring. He nailed it. We had a vibrant color theme with a garden, and my tie was primarily a bright lemon yellow color. His photos captured the essence of all of these elements. I simply cannot recommend him enough! But if you're still reading this and need more convincing, part of the dilemma for us was that one of my best friends is a professional wedding photographer with her husband. They take phenomenal photos-- and actually did our proposal photos 5 years ago. I wanted my best friend to be able to attend the wedding as a guest and so my criteria was to find a photographer as good (or better) than my friend. I looked through dozens of photographers portfolios and I really didn't like any of them until I came to Dan. In other photographer portfolios I found poor color profiles, bad editing, bad framing, etc, but Dan's portfolio was perfect and just what I was looking for. Now that the wedding has passed and we have our wedding photos, I can see he gave us the same level of high quality photos that I had hoped for. For everyone photos are going to be how we remember things long term. Dan can be trusted to help immortalize your wedding day memories. For me I especially appreciate Dan's work because I have aphantasia and I literally cannot visualize things in my head (memories are just a collection of associated words). Even just 2 months after the wedding I can't "See" the memories in my head, but I have Dan's photos. Thank you Dan for helping me see my memories.
