ike was on time, professional, and captured every moment that we wanted. Most importantly were two things for us. (1) Mike helped scope out the best spots for photos and tested lighting ahead of time so that we could get the best shots. He suggested we visit the spots I was interested in the night before which was great - because one of my planned photo spots was actually under construction and Mike suggested a great alternative! (2) He was hilarious! He had an amazing ability to bring out real laughter and smiles from us and our wedding party. Our photos reflect that real and genuine emotion and joy from everyone. Mike and Jason captured every shot we had hoped for and also set up and unexpected great late-night setting for us too! We received the photos a month after the wedding and there are so many great shots to choose from that it's honestly overwhelming! It would be impossible to overstate how much we recommend Derby Studios!

honestly didn't need to worry about a thing for my photos during my wedding because I knew Mike was handling it! Truth be told, I didn't even realize they were there half the time, that's how well he works with you and your party! He blended in, took amazing shots of my husband and myself, our bridal party and all of our lovely guests! He is so extremely professional and on point, that he does what he needs to without taking away from your special day! If anything, he adds to it! He had as all laughing for the photos to get us to shine or brightest smiles and we'll all never forget it! I highly recommend him, his beautiful work already speaks for itself, but just in case you need extra convincing take it from someone who's already had the pleasure of working with him, he's the very best!!

the week before to plan out the order of the pictures, which took a big weight off of my shoulders. Michael is so experienced that even though he works very quickly (which we LOVED because it gave us more time to relax and ENJOY on the day of) but he is a perfectionist making sure he gets the best shots possible which we truly appreciated. Michael kept us smiling the whole time with his energetic and fun spirit! I will absolutely be using Michael for every major life event that comes up that we need a photographer for! He also puts the pictures online with a password for 60 days that you can give out to whom ever you want to so we can all order our photos! THANK YOU MICHAEL!

For the bride and groom photos he selected great locations in Swampscott and Marblehead that provided beautiful scenic backdrops, and his positivity helped make what can be a challenging part of the wedding day a real pleasure. The pictures were made available to us less than a month after the wedding, and the overall cost for the quality of the work and photos was very reasonable.
