tely, the DJ missed our entire ceremony — he was scheduled to arrive at 3:30pm for a 4:00pm start, but didn’t answer our phone calls until around 3:45pm. At that point, he admitted he had forgotten about our wedding. This understandably caused a great deal of stress and meant the music for our ceremony was completely missed. He finally showed up (I don't know exact time because I was taking pictures) around 5:00pm and asked where to set up for the ceremony as if we waited for him... During the reception, additional issues came up: – Several of our requested songs weren’t played. – Important dance songs were replaced with the wrong versions. – The sound system cut out multiple times. – Transitions between songs were rough and disrupted the flow. – A few of his comments over the mic were inappropriate and made some guests uncomfortable. To his credit, after we reached out, he did respond and issued a 60% refund. While we’re grateful for that gesture, the experience still affected moments we can’t redo. I’d recommend working with him only if you're able to have very clear, confirmed communication and backup plans in place. Our day was filled with love and joy despite the setbacks, but it’s important for others to be aware.

He’s truly one of the best in the industry! His wedding package is unbeatable! It included a photobooth, custom monogram, stunning LED uplighting, dry ice fog for our first dance, and a breathtaking video slideshow. Everything was beyond our expectations, creating the perfect atmosphere for our special day. Guy is a true professional in every sense of the word. His communication, attention to detail, and industry knowledge set him apart. The music was flawless, keeping the energy high and the dance floor packed all night. The photobooth was a huge hit with our guests, and the uplighting transformed the venue into something magical. The dry ice fog during our first dance made it feel like we were dancing on a cloud; it was straight out of a fairytale! Don’t miss your chance to work with one of the best! good. First thing is he came up to my husband right before the ceremony to go over the music list and had the complete wrong list. He quickly found the right one so that worked out but that was not a stressor my husband wanted before walking down the isle. The other negative is for our grand entrance he mispronounced our last name right after confirming it with us before we walked in. Other than that I think he killed it. His timing was impeccable and the party was dancing all night long. I love that he took requests and really made it enjoyable for my guests. We also did make some last minute changes to our first dance ect and he was quick to respond and made the changes with us right away.

ortant details in the last month, we felt like we were not getting the level of service we paid for. We had our final meeting and he did not tell us what we needed to have prepared. When I told him we wanted to sync his schedule with our day of coordinator he acted like we should have known they had to be on the call without him telling us. Then he sent us a handwritten timeline that was impossible to read that I had to re-type for my day of coordinator. My husband and I spent hours using their music website to request important songs to us and a do not play list. We also sent a separate spreadsheet to try to make it easier for him to know when to play songs because music was so important to us. When it came to our wedding day, songs on our do not play list were played! Our guests had actually requested the songs we sent in on their RSVPs and many of them did not hear the songs we requested. Then he came up to us during dinner and told us "our timeline was out the window" and that he had changed things how he thought best, when we asked that timelines and changes were to go through our coordinators to make sure we didn't miss anything. Overall, our wedding was beautiful and a perfect day, but I wish we could have looked back fondly on the music and DJ. If you care about picking the songs you want played I would not recommend DJ Guy, but if you want a standard fun wedding playlist that keeps the night going it may be great for you. Our guests did have a great time!

, I was sure I had found my DJ. The first part of the package I loved was the part where the bride and groom dance on a cloud. This made for a memorable first dance, and our guests loved it. They also enjoyed the slide show that he helped us put together. In addition, his song selection was perfect for our crowd. I wanted to make our wedding as personable as possible, and he enabled us to find songs that really connected the hearts of those who attended. I loved the version of "Here Comes the Bride" to which I walked down the staircase to meet my dad. Everyone was in tears. I appreciated his mannerisms and sense of humor at our reception. Because of his work, our reception ran smoothly. It was the perfect occasion, and I would highly recommend him to other engaged couples.

He worked well with our wedding coordinator and his services as an MC ensured that the whole day ran smoothly. He went above and beyond the call of duty throughout the day - for example he would ask if he could get us food and drinks when he wasn't DJing. During our reception, he had the dance floor full which was especially impressive given that we had a smaller wedding (60 people). We had guests visiting from a number of different countries and his song selection ensured that everyone felt involved. DJ Guy offers a professional services and provides fantastic value for money - we would definitely recommend DJ Guy for any wedding!

Guy was helpful and attentive on my wedding day, and I liked him personally. Unfortunately for me, he didn't follow through on everything he promised. For instance, he said in the initial interview that he would clip the songs I selected for entrances, intros, etc so that the chorus would play...but then the day of the wedding he played the song from the beginning. This meant that songs with long instrumental intros fell flat. Not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things...I was so happy the whole day...but it irritates me that he didn't live up to his own words. He also sold me in the initial interview on being able to create a playlist of songs I liked and disliked that he would use at the wedding. The second song he played during dancing was on my "Do NOT Play" list, as were several others. When he noticed I was annoyed, he told me he hadn't seen my playlist. I went back and checked the next week - it was still on the website. Again, I'm not saying he was a bad DJ (he was fine), but I spent a lot of time making playlists he didn't use. So, if you decide to hire DJ Guy, don't bother with the playlist website. You can expect the same songs you hear at every wedding.

m to decide if I wanted to use it. My bridesmaids and I loved Julio, and knew he'd be perfect for my wedding, so I booked him! Unfortunately, as my wedding date grew closer (almost a year and a half later), it turned out that he had moved away. Thankfully, Roy, the owner of the company, booked another DJ he felt would be a good match for my fiance and me. I was super nervous about having a DJ I had never met with show up to our wedding, but it turned out that Roy was definitely right!!! Joe Abad was our DJ, and he did an absolutely incredible job!! I am so glad we ended up with someone who knew what he was doing. Everything was perfect!!! My only complaints have to do with the planning portion of our experience - first of all, the lady who calls you prior to your wedding never truly identifies herself - she says, "Hello, this is DJ Guy!!" (awkward!!!) rather than, "Hello, this is So-and-so from DJ Guy" ... she also originally called us a year earlier than she was supposed to... which made me concerned about what OTHER information was incorrect on our file. It was also awkward having no contact whatsoever with our actual DJ - we only spoke directly to Roy. Roy is extremely knowledgeable and was very helpful, but it was a little stressful up until the day of our wedding not knowing what to expect... again, thankfully, everything turned out perfectly, but it would have been comforting to have some level of direct contact with Joe. My only other complaint would be that although Roy was great at steering us away from planning something that might not work well (which we definitely encouraged and appreciated), it was upsetting that he did not seem to understand or respect the fact that I had chosen a song that was special to my father and me, just because it wasn't exactly your typical father-daughter dance song (sorry, "Butterfly Kisses" isn't our thing!) ... sure, it might not have been the easiest song to dance to, but it had special meaning to us (we danced to it when I was 2 yrs old before the first time he was away from me for an extended period). Unfortunately, it was VERY obvious that Roy thought I was making a HUGE mistake by choosing it. He continually tried to urge me to choose a different song, but I am glad I stuck with it.

And since I have never needed to look for a DJ the search began. I am so pleased with DJ GUY. We met with the owner Roy and he was great. He took time to discuss what we envisioned and gave us an amazing package where we could take advantage of all the amenities that DJ GUY offered (up lighting, dry ice during our first dance which guests were pleasantly surprised by and the pics came out great!, lighting monogram, DJ GUY glow sticks during the dance and pin drop light on cake so the whole night we and our guests could appreciate the yummy dessert to come-our wedding cake!). Although Roy was not our DJ for our actual ceremony he was great in getting everything organized for the event. The actual DJ, Joe for our ceremony was great! He was professional, personable, and able to be flexible with certain song and activities that came up during the reception. We were so impressed with Joe’s ability to get the crowd on their feet as I mentioned our wedding guests were a variety of age and cultural background-he even joined in on some of the dances to guide those guests that might have felt hesitant to participate! Thank you DJ GUY, I only wish I was not so busy talking with guests otherwise I would have danced some more myself!

DJ Guy is very experienced and all of the DJs that work for him know what they're doing- which put us at ease. Julio MC'd the entire reception and we didn't have to worry about a thing! The schedule ran smoothly and our guests never left the dance floor. Overall we are happy with DJ Guy and would recommend them!

When it came time to turn in my list of songs, which we broke down into ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing he pretty much said he didn't want to play them and we jus needed to let him do us job & lists make it harder for him....ummm wouldn't a list of what we want make it easier???? Summary...he's cocky and a know it all ( rolled his eyes & said my walking down the aisle song was overplayed) he really stressed m out, but when it came to the wedding he did a good job. I was happy the day of with his attitude and professionalism but he actually didn't play any of our " must plays".

He got us drinks, made sure we were having a ball, and kept us up to date on how things were moving along during the festivities. We were very picky about the music and he played alot of our records we had recorded from mp3s which was exactly what we wanted. They have great deals, greater attitudes and really kept everything fun! These are by far the best DJs in San Diego and I will be going to them for all of my future events.

I emailed over the pictures to Chis and tried to follow up with him; he called me the night before the wedding (when we were at the rehersal dinner and I didn't have my phone on me) and then came up to me at the wedding reception to tell me that he couldn't open the pictures I sent of us as kids. Obviously there was nothing I could do about it at that point. Communication wasn't that good, I would email several times with no response and if I left messages I wouldn't get a call back. Every appointment I had would be over an hour late to start because Chris talks a lot (it's obvious he loves his job and is enthusiastic) but one night my phone conference went till 11:30pm when it was suppossed to start at 6:30pm. He was suppossed to email a timeline for me to send to the event coordinator which I had to follow up with him several times to get. Then at the wedding he deviated from the timeline and there was an awkward time when my whole bridal party as well as my new husband and I stood waiting for the music to start and nothing happened and we all looked at each other confused (I felt like an idiot in front of all our guests). I feel that we we happy with the end package; music was great, uplighting was pretty and we had a monogram on the dance floor that was beautiful.

He played some of the music we requested and kept people out on the dance floor.He was super nice but I would have preferred that he go over the schedule with the manager before the wedding and made sure that he pronounced the names correctly.
