Second of all, the information-gathering they do is incredible, and for those who are Type A planners, ensures that every moment of the night will run smoothly. Third of all, the MUSICIANS!! My goodness they are talented...they kept our 175-person crowd on the dancefloor ALL NIGHT. Motown, soul, funk, top hits, throwbacks - you name it, they nailed it. They even did an encore song after the wedding technically ended because no one wanted to leave the venue!! I'm already dreaming up the next event I need a band for so I can use ECS again...love you guys!

So many of our guests asked us where we found such an engaging, energetic and fun band. They danced all night long with us. They followed our requests to a T and the band leader even checked in halfway through the night to make sure everything was going as expected. East Coast Soul BLEW my wedding out of the water! I have seen many wedding bands due to my past planning experience, and ECS were without a doubt the BEST. They completely understood the type of music we were looking for and did a great job curating the perfect playlist of both classic and contemporary music. Half of our wedding guests were from Sweden and they did a great job adding Swedish pop songs to their songlist (ABBA, Robyn). Their sound was tight and they flowed through songs in a smooth - not clunky - manner. One of our wedding guests is a music producer in Europe (Sweden) and stated that it was the single best wedding band he's ever seen. He also knows Robyn and said she would have loved and been very impressed by their rendition of 'Dancing on My Own.' When ECS (KING BAND - 9 pieces) was done performing, guests didn't want to leave because the band brought such wonderful energy. While I know guests won't remember the flowers, hors d'oeurves, or party favors, I know for a fact that they will remember the band as many said the band made the wedding the best wedding they've ever been to. If you're contemplating East Coast Soul, BOOK THEM. You will not only love them, but you will remember them for the rest of your life.

Seriously though, for a lot of our guests (and us!) it was the first wedding that many of us had been to in over a year and they freaking brought the party! They danced their hearts out along with us and created so much energy in the room, we couldn't be more grateful to them - they make us want to have another wedding just so we can party with them again.

They were on time, friendly, played the right music at the right times, and were overall exceptional. Everyone was on their feet the entire night. We had live versions played for our first dance and parent dances, and the band covered the songs perfectly. They set up the mic for the ceremony, and played fun jazz music at our cocktail hour. So happy we went with ECS, they did not let us down.

For our wedding, it was really important to us that we get everybody on the dance floor all night long and that was exactly what happened. Looking around the room all night, there was hardly anybody sitting down and people are still telling us how incredible our band was! From the first phone call you have with them, you get the feeling that not only are they incredibly talented, but very organized. We talked about our vision, kinds of music we liked etc. We got a questionnaire to fill out upon booking and 1 month out. It really makes you think about everything that you want (and don't want). The one month out basically creates a timeline and script. We talk about introductions, music, tone, instruments etc. We had a somewhat choreographed dance for our first dance and had an idea of where in the song we'd end. We chatted with the band before and they nailed it. Seriously, East Coast Soul was the best investment we made for our wedding day and made the entire celebration!! You want them, you need them.

Also, Sean and Art were both incredible during every portion of the booking and planning process - they both went above and beyond every step of the way to make sure our music experience exceeded our expectations, and they succeeded in every way possible. Booking the East Coast Soul King Ensemble was the best decision we made for our wedding and we wish we had another excuse to book them again!

edding wanted "the name of the band" because they want to book ESC for their wedding, and our parents and grandparents were brought back to a time of classic music, filled with rhythm and love. Aside from the raw talent of the Ensemble, the whole team are some of the most considerate, kind and down to earth people we have met in awhile. The whole team felt like guests and old friends that just happen to be amazing performers and musicians. We are trying to come up with another reason to throw a party just to hire them again. From the onset, ECS have been an absolute pleasure to work with. Buttoned up and organized which was equally as rewarding as music the night of. Everyone left happy and tired from dancing and smiling. Selfishly, the 3 songs that my husband and I wanted to dance to at our wedding were preformed to perfection, which gave us those rare opportunities where we got to show how much we love each other and dance to songs we loved which made our night special. They nailed it.

Soulsville did an outstanding job bringing our party to life. People can't stop talking about how great they were! Mansfield - but the band got it done and was on time and ready to go for the ceremony and reception. The band sounded great and they had the guests dancing the entire time. They have an expansive playlist and chose from the genres and artists that we requested. The vocalists were fantastic and they got the guests involved. about booking a new ensemble without seeing them prior. We had 7 pieces and it was absolutely perfect. They have a very involved form that clients fill out to create the best night possible with the clients' visions prioritized from the beginning. This form and the details are not set in stone, though, so you are free to edit and amend throughout the planning process as your vision changes: this is ideal because not all major music decisions are easy to make from the beginning. The details are not so much that they are overwhelming, though. It is just enough to feel like you as the client have control over the event and the flow, while also giving ECS the freedom to do what they do best. We chose to have the band run the show - we did not have many stipulations or requests, and we are so happy that we had ECS use their best judgment of the night and the crowd to optimize the performance. They handled absolutely everything A/V from the beginning: from a gorgeous guitar playing for the ceremony, to the wedding party introductions, through the first dances (they even changed a lyric in a song for us as well as learned a new song), toasts, and the dance floor. They had suggestions for all of the processionals/entrance songs and we were so happy to have gone with their selections that made more sense than what we had initially requested. Their set list is long, diverse, and fantastic. Everyone was out on the dance floor all night. Their breaks were appropriately timed, they maintained high energy all night, and they got the party going again after people took breaks from the dance floor. They were excited, engaged, and seemed truly happy to be there with us on our special night. Their vocalists even got out on the dance floor with us to engage with the crowd. They did not have any special requests or needs, and were so easy to accommodate and work with from the beginning. ECS was the first thing we booked for our wedding after the venue, and we're so glad we did. This band is well worth it: you'll be happy you booked them and you'll never look back.

They are so talented, were great entertainment at our wedding and played beautifully during our ceremony. We were most impressed with their willingness and ability to include our culture's traditional music, and played an incredible Hora! cues and overall organization keep you on schedule, and the music matches the tempo of the event. For the reception, that is when they blow it out of the water. They are instrumental for introductions, first dances, speeches, and over MC'ing. As a bride, you are pulled in legitimately 198324 different directions, and the lead band member was keen to keep me on schedule to start the different events (mother/son, father/daughter dances, kicking off the full dance portion of the evening). Then the MUSIC ITSELF oh my gosh we are still hearing about it from guests. My 80 year old grandparents were on the dance floor. People were on the grass around the dance floor (tented reception outdoors) because the dance floor was so packed. They mix generational music for everyone to enjoy. You'll have you Valerie and September, but then they'll get some Bruno Mars mixed in to keep the 20/30 year olds into it. Don't hesitate!! They are worth every penny!!!!!

o say: "they were the best wedding band I have ever heard." Our friends and family love to dance and have a good time, and East Coast Soul provided four hours of non-stop entertainment. Working with the band was quite easy: they are exceptionally well organized and make sure they are on the same page as you weeks before the big day. After filling out their survey, the band clearly totally understood the vibe we are looking for at the wedding, and even made suggestions of additional songs/artists to include that fit exactly with the kind of music we wanted. I cannot describe how comforting it was to be sure the band understood what we were shooting for. By the time the wedding rolled around, we had very high expectations given how great the band had been to work with, and then they blew our expectations out of the water! The dance floor was absolutely full from the opening song (Hold On, I'm Comin' by Sam and Dave) until the last song (Shout) four hours later. Amazing band, extremely versatile. Would recommend to anyone.

t just saying that because it was my own wedding - this band was the talk of the entire next morning's brunch. We had the Stax ensemble with Dan and Astha singing and they are some of the most engaging performers I've ever seen. The whole band is so immensely talented and they did an excellent job with learning our first dance song, playing really appropriate (but good!) dinner music, and then turning it UP for the dance party. They also were so awesomely accommodating about traveling and making sure all details were accounted for. Thank you ECS!!!

Range of music: East Coast Soul will play a range of tunes which will get everyone dancing at your wedding. From Motown classics to 90's hip hop and today's hits, they make sure anyone of any age has a good time. This is a big plus if your wedding has both toddlers and elders. 3. Communication: our contact was extremely communicative during the whole process and the day of. They MC'd the night perfectly and knew our order of toasts and events exactly. 4. They don't stop! We had an outdoor wedding with 90+ degree heat and the band just pushed through for hours. They take minimal breaks (if any) to ensure that everyone is dancing as much as possible. After our wedding, two of my friends asked if I would have another wedding to party with the band again! I laughed, but East Coast Soul was that good that it was only half a joke. If you are sure you want a band at your wedding, don't look any further than East Coast Soul.

tire time had the most amazing energy. Every single band member is so talented. From their dance moves to their sound it felt like we were at a concert at points and it created such an incredible vibe in the room all night long. They were the easiest and nicest group to deal with as well. It felt like the actual artist was performing the songs at times. I cannot recommend them more. I would hire them for any event and party I was doing moving forward that I wanted to ensure would be an incredible evening. They were very accommodative of the type of music we wanted played and what we also didn't want played. THEY ARE ROCKSTARS and we loved them. ECS for the win!
