Book your wedding here!!! The building is beautiful and the views are even better! But the staff is what made everything perfect! After planning for so long you worry about the vision coming alive and Alanna and Andrea knocked our vision out of the park! It rained harddd on our wedding day and we were upset at first but they transformed the second floor into a beautiful cocktail hour spot, we didn’t even care about having cocktail hour outside anymore! You will have the best wedding you could have imagined when you book The Exchange!

We loved that the building has historical significance, panoramic views of the water from the main space, and gave us indoor and outdoor options. We worked with Alanna, who couldn’t have been more helpful and communicative over the course of planning our wedding.
I want to note that the Exchange was FANTASTIC at dealing with food allergies and sensitivities. They provided special services to multiple bridal party members with severe sensitivities and made us feel at ease that the day would go off without a hitch!

The Exchange delivered everything we wanted. We started working with our coordinator Alanna in 2019, and they were responsive and easy to work with from the start. When we needed to postpone, we moved to our new date, and it was a very smooth process. We are grateful the Exchange was so accommodating during that period. The timeline moved pretty quickly once things opened up in the city of Boston, but Alanna was on top of everything to keep us on track.
The day of everything was handled so well. We were able to set up the day before, and there was multiple staff to help with anything we needed. Our day-of coordinator was absolutely amazing. They were there from the start to the end. We had some extra flowers and she found ways to use them around our chuppah. We did not have to stress about anything.
Our cocktail hour was outside on the water - and it was a perfect day for our guests to enjoy the boats going by and the sunset! We decided to do stations for dinner, and we had themes that Alanna made come to life. We had some dietary requests and the caterer was super accommodating for us. We did have servers, who were very nice and professional. We heard nothing but rave reviews about the food. And it was awesome to take home leftovers!
We had around 100 people at 13 tables. We were very comfortable with this number (especially due to COVID) but there was plenty of room and we gave extra room to people at the tables.
We postponed our marriage and wedding celebration because we knew the Exchange would be great and it absolutely was. Luckily we had a picture-perfect day, and being on the water with all the boats going by was absolutely gorgeous.

We had our wedding at the Exchange Conference Center on 11/6/21 and it was absolutely amazing. Our day of coordinator Alanna and the team were so responsive from the beginning to the end and we were so impressed by their work and expertise. Planning a wedding during a pandemic is not easy but Alanna patiently answered all of our questions and made sure that our vision for the wedding was perfectly executed. Our guests all had an amazing time and raved about how amazing the food was. For a young couple paying for the wedding on their own, we could not have dreamed to find a place within our budget in the Boston Seaport but the Exchange Conference Center made that dream possible. I would highly recommend checking out this venue!

We loved our wedding at The Exchange! We wanted something a little more unique, with waterfront views, and ideally in Boston, and ended up finding it all with this hidden gem in the Seaport. The staff was excellent, food was delicious, and the ambience fantastic. All of our guests commented what a great space it was! When you first go to see it, you will likely see an empty room, but I can assure you when that room is setup for the wedding it will look stunning! We did our ceremony on-site and they are truly skilled at flipping over the room during the cocktail hour. We were blessed with gorgeous weather and were able to hold our cocktail hour outside....our guests loved watching the boats and even the planes across the way. Such a fabulous spot!

My husband and I wanted a non-traditional wedding and a venue that was different. Through a work cocktail hour (outside on the harbor overlooking the airport and city), I found The Exchange and fell in love immediately with the stunning harbor views, floor to ceiling glass windows, and the 3 story high ceiling. When we got engaged, we toured dozens of venues and none of them stood up to my vision. We toured The Exchange and Ryan was as memorized as I was. From the moment you tour the venue, you are provided an Event Coordinator who then works with you throughout the planning process and is there during the wedding to make sure everything is perfect. We were so lucky to have Alanna assigned to our meeting. She went above and beyond with every aspect of our day, she had excellent ideas to help craft a wedding that was unique to Ryan and I. Alanna added to our vision and was encouraging when we had certain requests or when I changed my mind 100 times. She truly loves what she does and I would highly recommend working with her!!
During our tasting, Alanna made recommendations to enhance our tasting menu and worked with us to change the sauces on some of the meats and added that level of detail that sold us and our parents. We knew our guests would be happy, but boy was I wrong, the food surpassed all our of expectations!! Alanna added a Brussel Sprout salad to the tasting (neither of us like brussels), it turned out to be the best salad we have ever had and we are now obsessed with brussels. It was a unanimous decision and the salad was the first item added to our menu. The food catered by East Meets West is DELICIOUS!!! Our guests keep saying that it was the best wedding food they had. Everything came out perfectly and each steak was cooked to perfection with a nice medium rare/medium center (not well done like in most weddings). East Meets West is creative and spends a lot of attention to the tiniest details on the plate. We loved being able to work with Alanna to craft a unique menu including fun hor d'overs and desserts. There are no shortage of options! During the wedding Alanna made sure that two staff followed us during cocktail hour to make sure Ryan and I had plenty of food to eat.
Not only is The Exchange stunning and the food some of the best we have had, the staff made our experience unforgettable! We highly recommend having your wedding here! True Hidden Gem that won't stay hidden for long!!

My husband and I cannot recommend the Exchange Conference Center to enough people. We got married in August. We were looking for a space that would accommodate our 200-person guest list and be unique. We found all of this at the Exchange!
We had our ceremony and dancing inside and the cocktail hour and dinner outside. The dinner was under a tent, which was beautiful along the waterfront.
While the venue and views are absolutely gorgeous, the staff is what made our day flawless and allowed us to enjoy every part. I honestly made my venue choice on Lauren’s prompt response time to my first list of questions and her quick proposal. Lauren was fabulous to work with. She answered all my questions. She assisted with our tasting and picking out of linens. She held meetings with us when necessary and when we requested. Lauren communicated with all of our vendors to come up with a comprehensive timeline, which all my vendors complimented. She made me feel like I was the only bride she had in 2019! The day of Lauren, Andrea and the rest of the staff made sure we were taken care of- if there were any problems I had no idea.
East Meets West made choosing the food a challenge with all their wonderful options. The food was amazing. I am still dreaming about the mini fish tacos! I was amazed at the quality and presentation that went into every dish. We also had many food allergies and restrictions that were accommodated.
All in all, we had a great experience and we would do it all over again at the Exchange!

We had our wedding this past July at The Exchange, and it was nothing short of amazing! The space itself is conveniently located and absolutely stunning. Having our cocktail hour right on the Harbor and being able to go outside all night was perfect. The staff, food, and drinks were also outstanding! I want to give a big shout out to Lauren Gertz, who was so organized, full of suggestions, and made our night perfect. If you're looking for a unique space on the water in Boston, you cannot go wrong with the Exchange!

We held out wedding reception at the Exchange in early June and had an amazing experience. Lauren and the staff couldnt have been more accomodating. From running to the dry cleaners to get my veil steamed the day of in a mini-emergency, to flawlessly executing my ideas for decor and presentation and checking in throughout the entire night, we couldnt have been more pleased! The food is AMAZING; so fresh and well prepared to our liking! Not to mention the beautiful scenery!!!

The Exchange was a beyond gorgeous venue for our reception where Lauren and the entire staff went above and beyond to make everything so easy for me, my now-husband, and our entire family leading up to the wedding and on the wedding weekend. Not only was everything about The Exchange perfect (the waterfront, architecture & space, food, drinks, etc.), but they really made the process so much easier than many others do in today's industry. From helping with every last detail of set-up to having everything included within the venue (tables, chairs, etc. rather than having to get them from another vendor), it massively simplified the process. Even better, on the weekend and day of our wedding, we did nothing logistical! Lauren and team handled everything, and I am eternally grateful because it was genuinely the best weekend of my life.

My husband and I got married at the Exchange Conference Center this June. I was interested in having a unique wedding venue and wanted to avoid getting married in a hotel ballroom. We had our ceremony and reception at the Exchange and then had cocktail hour outside. We selected this venue because we loved the architecture of the old historic building and for its location directly on the water. One huge plus for us when we were choosing the Exchange was the rain back-up plan. If it rained on our wedding day we would be able to have cocktail hour upstairs on the second floor. Some places we looked at didn't have a great rain back-up plan. I love how easy the venue is to get to in Boston and all of the hotel options there are to choose from. We had our wedding block at the Renaissance Marriott as well as the Seaport Boston Hotel. Both are great options and walking distance for our guests once the night was over. We took family formal photos in front of the venue as well as in the back on the water. The photos came out great (I would highly recommend Andrea Servidone if you are looking for a photographer). We didn't use the getting ready rooms on the 3rd floor but hung out in them before the ceremony started. Lauren was our event coordinator and she was fantastic. Lauren made herself available to us whenever we had a question. We wanted to try our exact wedding meal before the big day and Lauren had everything packaged up for us to have at our home. The customer service that she showed us was really amazing. On the day of she made sure everything went smoothly. Nothing was out of place and it was exactly how I imagined it to look. The staff there is truly fantastic and so helpful and pleasant to work with. We really had a wonderful time and I cannot recommend the Exchange enough. One of the best parts of our wedding was during cocktail hour, being outside with our family and friends and watching all the sailboats go by was really a lot of fun. Everyone who attended our wedding took photos with their dates outside and it is truly one of the best views of Boston. For a late night snack we had the Cookie Monstah truck come and they parked out back where we had cocktail hour. This was a lot of fun and guests really enjoyed this. We had a wonderful day and will always walk by the Exchange Conference Center and think of what an amazing day our wedding was! Thanks to everyone who played a role in our wedding!

We had both our ceremony and our reception at The Exchange one month ago! If you are looking for a unique, upscale and memorable wedding venue in Boston, this is the ONE. It is an absolutely gorgeous venue and our your wedding day, it looks even better!
Michele and Alanna and their entire team are amazing. The food is extremely high quality. We had stations (sushi, carving, salad wall and dessert). Our guests have told us they ate more at our wedding than any other they have attended. People lost their minds over the sushi. The Exchange is located at the end of the fish pier in the Seaport...how could we not have sushi?
The main room is spectacular. You will NOT get a better view in Boston. You are literally right on the harbor. You don't need to decorate much at all. You can rent lights from them for the ceiling, which I highly recommend. For flowers, use Artistic Blooms (Camille and Kelly)! They work with The Exchange regularly, so that part was seamless!
We had a donut table for a late night snack. The team is so creative, they displayed them beautifully and again, guests are still talking about it. No other choice, but to use Kane's Donuts...best in Boston.
Having our ceremony and reception at the same venue was a priority for us. Michele and Alanna made it all happen so perfectly and they made it seem effortless. I know it was not, but they remain so in control and professional...they make it all about the bride and groom. They are easy to talk with, they listen, they are responsive, they follow-up, they offer ideas and suggestions. It was a positive experience from beginning to end. We recommend The Exchange without reservation!! Good luck and congratulations!

Our experience at the Exchange Center was beyond 5 stars! We got married on New Years Eve 2016 and worked with Caralyn Cross as our event coordinator. She was a huge help during the entire year long planning process. Promptly answering phone calls and emails, arranging several walk throughs for me and my vendors and helping me with many of the details for, floor plan, timing, decor, food and beverage and lots more. The venue was extremely flexible in the days leading up to our wedding allowing us to be completely stress free. The day of the wedding, Caralyn and her team made sure that every detail was taken care of. We got endless compliments on the venue, the service, the bar, the food and the location. Our pictures both inside and out came out stunning. I could not be any happier with our choice to get married at the Exchange Center and am so grateful to have had Caralyn helping me along the way! If you are looking for a GORGEOUS, unique, city venue with stunning views that won't break the bank - you need to check out the Exchange center.

The Exchange Conference Center was the perfect venue for my wedding! The location and catering done by East Meets West Catering were amazing. The building itself radiates historical Boston with stunning architecture on the outside, and permits lots of natural light and great views of Boston Harbor from the inside. The waterfront background for our pictures was phenomenal!
From my first contact with Caralyn Ross, our event coordinator, I knew The Exchange was going to be a great fit. I liked how Caralyn represents both The Exchange and East Meets West Catering, which made coordinating vendors a breeze. I planned our wedding from Hawaii, and Caralyn was more than accommodating with scheduling phone calls, meetings and a tasting. I really appreciated how she made us feel special and took the time to make sure all details were covered and done with perfection.
Not to sound cliché, but The Exchange really is a hidden gem! The location is perfect for a Boston wedding. The building and views are breathtaking, the food was outstanding, and Caralyn Ross and her staff were a pleasure to work with and beyond professional. Thank you for making my wedding better than I ever could have imagined!

The Exchange Conference Center is the most perfect hidden gem in Boston's Seaport district. It is a beautiful setting on the water, lovely wood floors (no hotel carpet!), amazing lines and huge windows to see the ocean. The team is top notch. Michele was absolutely wonderful to work with and she made sure every little detail was in place. I had a lot of decor pieces that I handed over to her and she placed it all perfectly -- i knew it would all come together nicely with her and Andrea doing the design. Our night was flawless. The wait staff, bartenders, everyone was so warm and friendly to all of our guests and the food was AMAZING. All of our guests had a blast and had only great things to say about location, staff and food. We can't thank this place enough for making our wedding night truly special :)

We were so pleased with everything about having our wedding at the BECC. From the first day we met her, our coordinator, Rebecca Clark Thomas, was perfect -- always answering our questions and providing honest advice, particularly when it came to deciding to have an open bar or consumption bar. The highlight of the event was definitely the high-quality food. We also received so many compliments from our guests about how attentive the BECC staff was during the event. The location and space are very unique -- there's nothing else like it in Boston!

This review is for both the Exchange Conference Center (ECC) and East Meets West (EMW), the in-house catering service for the ECC.
Overall, the ECC was a fantastic venue for our August '14 wedding, and the EMW food was outstanding!
The Venue
We were originally drawn to the ECC for its clean lines and decor, soaring windows, great natural light, and uniquely Boston feel. It also met our needs because we were able to have our ceremony and reception in the same place.
Our ceremony took place in front of large windows facing the waterfront. Our guests were able to watch sailboats and motorboats laze by during our vows. Beautiful.
The event staff ran our wedding perfectly. Guests were ushered into their seats in the main room for the ceremony, then to the back deck where the cocktail hour was set up. Everyone commented on how fabulous the service was. The main room was converted into our reception space very quickly, while our guests were enjoying cocktail hour, and we were stunned by the remarkable transformation.
After dinner, guests were able to mingle in the outside space (where the cocktail hour had been), watching the city lights, airplanes, and boats.
Located in Boston's Seaport/Waterfront district, the ECC is very close to several hotels. This was great because it meant that we did not need to arrange for transportation between the hotels and the venue. The fact that the ECC had plenty of parking available for our guests was also a big perk.
Our guests complimented us several times on our choice of venue and its great scenery.
The Food
Just fabulous. We have been to many weddings where the food is barely better than a school cafeteria. With East Meets West (EMW), there is no question that the food will be fabulous. In fact, one guest commented that, at most wedding, he only takes three bites of the inedible wedding beef before spitting it into his napkin. With EMW, he raved about the quality of the beef for days!
From the cocktail hour to our four-course meal, everything was perfectly cooked to my our liking. We also had an extensive tasting prior to the event where we were able to give our comments to the chef. I also appreciated that a server assigned to the wedding party during our event brought us food and drink and made sure we never missed out on any aspect of the party that we spent so much time planning.
The Service
From a planning perspective, both Rebecca Thomas and Michele Stump went above and beyond- they worked with us to plan our wedding from start to finish. They are both personable and highly skilled professionals who love their jobs, and it shows! They were energetic and full of great ideas from the start. They were also very receptive to our ideas and helped to turn them into reality. (We considered many other venues before choosing the ECC- it was rare to find someone who would be willing to accommodate requests that were even a little bit outside of the norm.)
The staff was excellent. They hit the right balance- they were never in the way, but they were there when you needed them, often anticipating our needs so that we never even had to ask.
Conclusion
Many of our guests emphatically declared ours was the "best wedding" they had ever attended. What more can you ask for?

We were so happy with our experience at the Exchange Conference Center. The venue was an alternate to local area hotels that had high bar prices and administrative fees on top of tax and gratuity. The location is so unique and allows for outdoor space overlooking Boston's harbor. Our guests loved cocktail hour watching the boats sail into the harbor! Casey, our planner, was excellent. Despite being sick, she was present, willing, and displayed expertise in handling all the craziness of the day! She thought of everything that I hadn't even anticipated and it all turned out perfect. Our guests are still raving about the location, food, service, everything. Really it was a magical day and the staff at the Exchange played such a large role. They were also really willing to work with us in terms of budget. We got everything we wanted & our guests got more than expected. Can't say enough good things about the experience.

We held our wedding reception at the Exchange Conference Center on Friday, August 22nd, 2014. The venue is amazing! We never knew it existed but are so grateful someone recommended it to us when we started our search. We couldn't imagine having our wedding reception anywhere else. It is at the end of the fish pier, right on the water and if you are lucky enough to have cocktails outside, there is no place like it in the city. It is a gem in the heart of the seaport area of Boston.
We couldn't have asked for a more professional and thoughtful staff as well. Both Rebecca Thomas and Michele Stump were amazing when it came to help planning for our special night. They covered everything imaginable and added custom touches that we would never have even thought of. The night of the event went off without a hitch, from the cocktail hour being outside on the terrace to the room being set up beyond our wildest expectations. They ensured the evening flowed exactly as planned and their staff was attentive and over the top courteous, especially Andrea, she was terrific. They always made us feel as though we had nothing to worry about and they were right, we enjoyed our reception the way a newly married couple should, without any stress.
So if you want to get married in Boston, at a venue like no other, and want a stress free best night of your life experience, look no further than the Exchange Conference Center. You won't be disappointed.

So. good. Michele and EMW Catering went truly above and beyond in making my wedding the most amazing day ever. Michele was so helpful in answering all my questions promptly and responding to my requests, even up till the day before the wedding. She was so enthusiastic about my ideas and helped execute them even beyond what I'd thought they could be.
She and the chefs were completely accommodating to my food requests, including dealing with vegans, gluten free, and other issues. They also provided ideas for nontraditional food options and delivered beautifully--all of our guests had sky high expectations for the food and drinks and Michele and ECC/EMW did not disappoint!
We had a completely amazing day and it wouldn't have happened without the terrific staff at ECC/EMW. Thank you so much!

I had my wedding on August 24, 2013 at the Exchange Conference Center. Michele Stump worked with me to customize the menu and venue. Michele is an expert wedding planner. She was able to offer excellent suggestions. We ended up doing beautiful string lights that made the room romantic. The food from East Meets West Catering was unbelievable. I highly recommend this intimate venue for weddings that have anywhere from 80-150 guests. We had close to 140 guests, and we thought the room would be tight, but it wasn't at all. There are many options for layouts that can work with a whole range of guests.
We had the cocktail hour outside on the patio. I have to say that Michele steered us in the right direction with all of our alcohol pricing and menu pricing. She made sure we were getting the best options for the money.
I highly recommend this as a venue choice. It's right on the water, there is free parking for guests, you can have an outdoor cocktail option (inside option if rain), and it is the most beautiful setting in Boston.

My husband and I got married here this June and our wedding was perfect! The venue is beautiful, the food is delicious, and everything went off without a hitch. We worked with Casey in the planning process (who we really liked) but everyone we met with throughout our preparations was friendly and happy to help. Our friends and family are still telling us it was the best wedding they ever went to!
